The thing that really frustrates me is that the core of the game is very good and you do occasionally have wow moments that make you sit up and take notice, but there are so many things that completely ruin the experience for me.
The biggest one by some distance is scripting. I've just picked this up after weeks of playing RDR2 and had a friendly as Brondby against AGF (top player). I took a 3-0 lead scoring some quite decent goals actually, then it hits the 60 minute mark and quelle surprise, their players all turn superhuman - winning every header and loose ball, pressing me all over the park, while my players act like they're running through treacle and can barely string a pass together.
This culminated in conceding two and then with about five minutes to go, their winger gets the ball running away from goal, he turns and runs through two of my players (I couldn't believe this at first, then checked the replay to confirm), before crossing into the forward in the box, then a backheel to the other forward and it's in the back of the net. I can accept the AI tweaking tactics playing their part, but I can't when I'm utterly powerless to stop them from scoring. The game just feels hollow and pointless when this happens.
What is this rubbish? Unless you're playing on Beginner or something, the AI when the cross comes in is an absolute shambles.
