PES 2019 Discussion Thread (PS4, XB1)

Thank you very much . Your individual support is in the best interest of all of us. Do not press the Developer PES team . They are in many cases Do nothing. Good luck .
yeah, good luck to all of us! :D
i am always a little lazy when i comes to taking actions in that regard. but posts like yours, not pushing to hard or moaning constantly but delivering valid points, are easy for me to retweet! we got to keep it civilized!

The thing that really frustrates me is that the core of the game is very good and you do occasionally have wow moments that make you sit up and take notice, but there are so many things that completely ruin the experience for me.

The biggest one by some distance is scripting. I've just picked this up after weeks of playing RDR2 and had a friendly as Brondby against AGF (top player). I took a 3-0 lead scoring some quite decent goals actually, then it hits the 60 minute mark and quelle surprise, their players all turn superhuman - winning every header and loose ball, pressing me all over the park, while my players act like they're running through treacle and can barely string a pass together.

This culminated in conceding two and then with about five minutes to go, their winger gets the ball running away from goal, he turns and runs through two of my players (I couldn't believe this at first, then checked the replay to confirm), before crossing into the forward in the box, then a backheel to the other forward and it's in the back of the net. I can accept the AI tweaking tactics playing their part, but I can't when I'm utterly powerless to stop them from scoring. The game just feels hollow and pointless when this happens.

I was having a good match. Then...

What is this rubbish? Unless you're playing on Beginner or something, the AI when the cross comes in is an absolute shambles.

Finding shoot too one dimensional compared to FIFA or the older pes titles,I cannot ignore that this year they tried to give some variations,it seems better in 2019 than its siblings from ps4 era, pes2015 and on.
It just only sometimes gives the impression that the rising-dipping trajectories are a little bit random factor result.

How can people enjoy this game when on superstar and on 15 min game, making ur keeper come out to close the angle has no bearing, it s gonna be a goal no.matter what, every 1 on 1 is a goal ur keeper has no bearing on the chance because its predetermined where the cpu attacker is gonna shoot it almost tells you look: this is where the keeper is gonna close and my shot where its gonna go, the game cannot hide the scripted stuff because it s almost robotic decision, at least the other game hides these stuff u can t feel it on the pitch, Sorry no not my cup of tea, the PES that i know and love is not this, definitely not, back to the other game, glad i didn t buy this piece of .....

This is basically my biggest gripe with this game,,how can people enjoy this, maybe vs friends its nice but other than that no

I'm sorry but my intent is not to be condescending. How can one justify some of the mishaps that happen seldom in real life to the same mishaps that happen rather frequently ingame ? People surely wouldn't complain about the game all that much if those instances were once in a blue moon.

Yep I agree... All we want is pure simulation! No mistakes or strange things, even if they happen IRL! ...
...
Wait...

I really think the Konami AI logic errors are pretty much enough, and as soon as the programming is rock solid they might be entitled to look after additional strange things to happen on the pitch.

And to be honest...does a game without a dedicated first touch error system (not even talking about a respective slider) really need to implement "extras mistakes" like the described one to the game? I think this is out of discussion.

Is it just me or do players step over each other´s feet a lot this year?

It happens quite frequent, that I wanna make a run and one of my players is in the way, walking stupid in front of me.
Often they bounce together and the ball is lost.

Can´t remember that it happened that much in former releases.

Well I tell you something, I hate those superman saves all the time man. The goals are huge and its impossible to keeper covers all that space all the time. Some shots in real life are unstoppable thats a fact.....its fine by me now.

The keepers are hilarious, they actually come out to attack the ball half the time and meet shots half way. Not sure if this is what's making long range shots harder but in 3 seasons I can hardly remember scoring a goal from 20 yards out or more, we're talking 1%.

Seems the most effective way to play the game is to tiki taka and hunt 5 yard tap ins like the opposition do in every single match.

this is basically it yes, sorry this is not the PES i know and love...

Its been 4 years of keeper floating to the top corner from a stationary position. Sometimes he passes his head above the bar. Keepers where better but artificially better. Scripted better. Now you can put the ball alway from the keepers reach.

Now is more like this:

PES 2019 is lovely in places but definitely not the shooting. It's still arcade-like compared to the competitor.

I can score far more varied goals in the other game.
Agree!
Even though it's the best in a long time.
On the other hand, pace and pass speed on the competitor's game is arcadey.
Pes with FIFA's shooting
FIFA with Pes pass and pace and we'd be in business

I loved number 2 in that vid when the goalkeeper puts his arms out and then thinks fuck it. Class.

It is happening very often to me & its really frastrating.in addition, another issue for me is very poor player swaping after a pass.If you play on FUMA it is happening more than ever this year.It is like that your player(s) cannot understand where the ball is and where they stand. After a pass the ball goes next to them and they keep running in another direction. You cant overcome this even when trying to change players manually. It doesnt happening even in semi assisted
