PES 2019 Discussion Thread (PS4, XB1)

Guys, I’m doing some data editing for the Scottish Premier League. Looking for some opinions on the Scottish stats, missing info, irregularities etc.

AI penalties have really been toned down with the last patch. Feels like Pes17-18 levels of fouls not being called.
There's obviously a different algorithm setup between inside the box, and outside the box.
Fouls outside the box are very good atm. I enjoy that some of my ML matches are decided over 1 free-kick.
But some of the AI assaults not called in the box are getting annoying.
I'd like to see them tweak it a bit to get the right balance. Hopefully it can be done in a hotfix.

Online Divisions is a joke. I said it since 2015, was told i was a sore loser but now people admit scripting exists

There's going to be at least one more to fix a few bugs - the last news article (available in-game on booting it up) says the European competitions being played in the daytime bug will be fixed in an upcoming patch.
 
A new patch will likely be released in a month because they acknowledged there are some issues with Champions League matches being played in day time. Also, the new patch and DLC will add Ibrox and other stadiums, probably on December 13th.

I havent even started myClub this year, there's no point its the same old crap every year...Maradona, Pele and Figo up-front and all that kind of nonsense, no thanks.

The little I've pkayed of Online Divisions I have to admit I enjoyed....BUT it gets boring:-

A:- Waiting 2 years for a match because only about 7 people worldwide play PES these days.

and

B:- Barcelona. Barcelona. PSG. Barcelona. Barcelona. PSG.
 
I also have to say I absolutely lost interest in myclub.
Sometimes I play the offline challenges but that´s it.

I even had a few cool full manual online matches, but now I have absolutely no motivation to build a team or to gain GP.

I rather play my ML and I´m good with that.

i dont know exactly why i enter this mode... maybe just collecting the freebies! :)
kept on playing mainly my regular league and some exhibition matches in between.
that TS dilemma in ML is really frustrating...!

i tried playing some fuma mates online in 2018. they play like i do and we had some fun... thing is: even in regular 1on1 online matches i had that laggy feeling. its not that smooth as offline so i never stayed long. the delay in button inputs always drove me crazy!

is that any better in 2019?! i would give it a try... @Emroth and all the other fuma players... you want to give it a try with me in the coming days!?

Literally ALL FUMA matches I had in PES 2017, 2018 and 2019 have been 98% lagfree.
My connection is set to 4 in PES.
Mostly I play with friends from my list and they´re in the same country as me.

I saw you quite often being online in my PSN friend list.
We really should have a match soon!
Next time, I see your username in PSN, I´ll message you^^.
 
Last night I played 6 straight matches in Divisions with other people playing FUMA (yep, no one of the people I played used basic/adv shooting although it is fully possibl to do so).

I didn't have to wait long at all between matches (but other times I have had to wait, but not long since I always play during evenings).

I might be stupid or something but I didn't feel cheated or that scripting came into play a single time during these matches.

I don't touch MyClub so I can't say anything about that but for med Divisions is the best online football experience I have ever had.
 
@PRO_TOO yeah we definetely will.
Just tough to find time with shifts and now im sunked in Red Dead.

As for myClub i went in there for a brief 10 minutes. Its the most un-userfriendly set up in a football game. Apparently cant even change formation unless you buy some manager? And having Cruyf and Hazard in same team?
Nah, not for me. Divisions were pretty cool last year but this year its, like someone else said, barca barca psg liverpool.
Havent tried searching on FUMA. Im sure that FUMA players have more imagination when picking teams.

Yeah i dont get that. Even tho im mostly offline player i sent them a message few times regarding filters. There should be a filter for all settings. Its common sense. And if you cant find a player, then just take few filters off. But it should be a choice.
I like to play manual with advanced shooting and I havent gone online coz I dont want to annoy people who play FUMA. And I dont want to annoy myself with my manual shooting.
There is so many little things that they could implement without any costs and which would make whole experience so much better. Sometimes i wonder who sits on those meetings they have with developers..

Agreed, I gave up on advanced shooting for that reason online. Annoying though.

I am very sensitive reg. lag and stuff. Used to play in setting 5. Wasnt that correct for the 50mbits Connection I’m using?!

I'm having a really nice spell now in Divisions, lovely matches against like minded people.

Still a bit annoying with R2- shooting being almost impossible though, it works ok in the box but otherwise, no dice.
 
EA Sports and Premier League Renew Deal Long Term

The Premier League and EA Sports have reportedly renewed their partnership, which includes sponsoring as well as licensing for the FIFA series, until the end of the 2024-25 season.

The current deal was set to expire at the end of the current season. While the renewal will certainly come with a hefty increase in the yearly sum paid to the league by EA, no details were stated in the article by SportBusiness, who broke the story.

As before, EA, developer and publisher of the FIFA series, will continue to be the biggest single brand sponsor of the Premier League. The yearly sum is split half-half between licensing and sponsoring according to the report.

All of this means that Konami's PES will not include the Premier League for at least another 6 editions - even if still exists at that point.

With the greatest respect...no one cares about the Thai league apart from people in Thailand.

I would rather they spent resources on master league and stadium editors etc than leagues no one watches.
 
Pes doesn't need licenses, it's a war that EA will always win.

It needs much more customization and it's a big mistake they removed stadium creator or didn't improve edit mode since years.

Then we look at this year and they even removed two customizable leagues because "there is no space in database". Such a shame.

Playing AO Tennis at the minute is a revelation. It's got something I've begged Konami to consider for years - a built-in community upload/download system, so there's no messing around with USB sticks and patches.

It's even automatic - you play in a tournament and it automatically searches for the stadium online. You click "London Grandslam" (i.e. Wimbledon) and it downloads the highest-rated community member's version of Wimbledon (all the courts, from the arena to the smaller ones).

The game has a stadium builder (including the surrounding areas for fly-bys), a player creator (including face-scan ability), logo creator, clothing creator... and best of all, it doesn't appear to have any limits beyond hard drive space. I've got all 69 ATP tour venues and I'm downloading all ATP tour players.

I'm not having to make any sacrifices, or downgrade the quality of any imported items so that it meets the file-size limits (i.e. not having to choose which bit I want in 2048x2048 quality, with all the rest being 1024x1024 quality, on a 4K TV that makes the lower-res stuff look dreadful).

This is cross-platform too - like The Golf Club (which allows you to share golf courses you've created). Everything I'm downloading on my Xbox One (where PES is pretty much unpatchable) has been made by someone on the PS4.

It makes an absolute mockery of the way PES works.
