eFootball PES 2020 Discussion Thread (PC)

Hey guys,
Who of you was able to play some demo matches on PC for a longer time?! I mean 15-30 min matches!
And how does the A.I. behave in those longer matches? Do they fall back to 2019 attack pattern or do they keep the 2020 level I’ve seen in the 5 min PS4 demo? You know what the problem was last year.
I would really like to know that. Thanks in advance.

It's better than 19 for sure. There is more variety to what the AI will try in the final third, but, like a few people have pointed out, getting there involves one pass or sprint, because there is absolutely no midfield/build up. That can get old when playing for longer. I fully get all the good things that people like, and hopefully the full game will be better, but pes17 is still the last decent game for me.

I don't have any issue with the demo so far, the only matchmaking is slow that's true but the game it self isn't. But to be fair this is just a demo.

The game is way harder for me. I'm always playing Pro or higher level but in I just can't win any game so far. In regular I can do draw but that's all. So I'm liking this new version. I know some of you are really pro but I'm a casual player. The only thing I hate is when I passing the ball to my teammates they doesn't do anything just waiting for the ball and the opponent get the ball. It's frustrating. And this isn't only PES problem, this was in FIFA too.

BTW I read some rumors that the J1 league will be licenced in PES20. I hope so.

Holy shit, finally, someone who agrees with me! I thought I was going insane! Why are we alone here?!

I don't know Christopher... I don't know.

I'm not saying it wholeheartedly hate it. Not at all.
I like it. I just don't adore it.

I do like the fact that it seems more balanced in all areas of the gameplay.
I haven't played more then 4 matches though, so my mind isn't made up completely.
We'll see tonight...

can anyone help me with this it makes the game unplayable

I think its about closing the passing lane which force the AI to build up play. They will pass the ball forward if the space is given due to high passing accuracy. increase def line, setting the formation properly do the trick for me. Here some example of AI build up play (at least i think it is). Superstar. 10 min.

yep. try to battle the fast direct AI passes by closing passing lanes. its better in 2020 compared to 2019, still it leaves that feeling for me that i fight the games AI flaws by doing so! to a degree.

You have to change the preferred Graphics Processor for PES 2020
Open NVIDIA Control Panel, open Manage 3D Settings under 3D Settings, go to Program Settings tab pick PES2020.exe in the first dropdown menu or browse the PES2020.exe by clicking "add", in the second dropdown menu pick High-performance NVIDIA processor, apply.

thank you man

After like 20ish matches both Online and Offline(12min matches), I can safely say that, this PES might be the least played one, if I even buy it.

Positives:
1. Graphics are cool.
2. Shooting is better than last year, way more control, but still kinda weird.
3. Passing is decent, not great not terrible.
4. The A.I. presses and tries to contain during the match, but only when there is time for it and there isn't that much...cuz game is kinda fast.
Negatives:
1. Goalkeepers are once again not just superhuman, I think they surpassed humanity. Super Saiyan GODS!
2. The A.I. is still this hyper, twitchy, neurotic mess, that drives me crazy. The midfield doesn't exist. Think of it as a cone at driving lesson course, you can just pass by it like it is nothing.
3. The referees are abysmal. That's it.
4. Online is AIDS on PC, but that shit never changes.
5. So many bugs with clipping, buggy animations, scripted outcomes of collisions, etc.

This game, just like the previous few, is definitely not for me. I can't just run from one end to another and be happy with that and PLEASE, don't tell me that It is my own fault and that the game lets you play whatever way you like...if you enjoy end to end football, than eFootball PES 2020 is the game for you, not me.

It's the demo. If we were allowed to fix the default starting positions of each AI controlled team the game would be wonderful. What needs fixing is the lines between defence/midfield/attack. Is this a carryover from PES 18/19? Absolutely. However, in the full game it is at least fixable. I think using a second controller before games to fix the lines is a worthwhile solution. I love the game. There are some great improvements and some disappointing let downs.

I have very choppy Framerates on my i7 870GTX Laptop. Even on minimal settings in pes.
Force the nvidia-driver to use the fast nvidia card for the pes2020demo.exe but it does not help.
Whats the Problem here? Specs are ok and i can run PES2019 @1080p60FPS without drops...

//edit: solved it. Had a third party programm "energy manager" running.
Switched it to the "best performance option" and now pes runs smoothly.

I think we can all agree and be thankful that it's better than PES2019 but for me it doesn't have that "one more game" feel. It could just be that I've been feeling unwell since Monday, so I've decided to take a break from gaming for a day or two then try again.

Does anyone know when Konami announces the full leagues and teams list? What time did they do it last year?

Had a few games last night, playing all manual with the exception of advanced shooting. Initial thoughts are:

+ Enjoy the new camera angle
+ Graphically a couple of notches up from 19
+ The grappling / barging / shouldering / protecting is good, but not great. I feel like this is a good first step in the right direction
+ Stats relating to strength and speed seem to matter a bit more now
+ One particular highlight was my left back battling for the ball with a winger. Using the shoulder barge I managed to win the ball back and push it down the line, the winger then barged back effectively blocking my run down the line. I managed to shoulder barge back, running round the other side of the player and coming away with the ball. It sounds like nothing but it was amazing to do and re-watch on replay :D
+ Saw a lot of new animations that looked really cool

- Defending is a mixed bag. You can now seem to win the ball using shoulder barging now, or face on block tackle
- Side block tackling usually results in a foul, so I pretty much stopped that or reverted to slides
- Even though strength and speed is improved, there is a downside. On more than one ocassion I ran box to box with one player, pretty much untouched
- The midfield and defence doesn't close down enough (based on the above), until you get to the edge of the opposition box where they tend to hold their line
- I could see a combination of gegenpress and counter attacking being really OP based on the current demo
- Is it me or is the game a bit easier?

Overall I do really like it, but I think there are still areas to improve upon. I think if the defending was tweaked (allowing more side block tackles, and the AI closing you down more) then we'd have a really good game.

As an aside, for those using Sider to extend the game time have they just re-installed it in the PES2020 demo folder? I'm using Evoswitcher on PES2019 which auto installed Sider, so don't want the two to clash but wanted to double check before I do anything. Cheers in advance

can you please take me on your ride through "hardware buying town"!? maybe via pm.!! i'd like to see what a decent computer would cost me. my own plannings say around 500€ if i do the building and get good prices on hardware. but i havent build a computer for ages!

Like wise I'm looking to build my own need tips please can you help

You guys can look at something like this,https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gJvVr6, that should absolutely max pes at any resolution while also giving great performance in pretty much any other game at 1080p. Will serve you well for 3-5 years, maybe even more, at at that point a GPU upgrade and more ram. might be all thats needed

Works out to about $540 Euros. Got be even less if you get deals or choose a lower price case or slighly lover capacity powersupply. The PC needs about 350 watts to operate effectively so you could downgrade to a 450W if you guys want but something like the 550w list or even a 650w power supply if the price is right wll future proof.

No you're not being a pain, feel free to ask anything. That site only list pc parts and basically shows the stores that offer them at the best price or has deals. It's great if you want to build your own pc and what to get the best deals.

If you're looking to by one prebuilt, outside of amazon ofcourse. There are these sites where you can either select from one of their configurations or customize a system yourself and they will assemble it and ship it to you. Note that they will be more expensive that building on your own most times and also are known for using lower quality parts than if you bought and built it on you own.

Ok great. I missed the other part of your post but for controllers, either a ps4 or xbox one controller would be fine. And accessories vary, keyboard, mouse etc. vary depending on price and need, so ur best bet is searching amazon, youtube reviews or go into a store and testing for you're self.

Saying that, these are pretty decent options to get you started:

https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K55...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spe...=gaming+mouse&qid=1564595397&s=gateway&sr=8-3

Well, looks like PC servers are awful for some regions or the game has problems with some CPU-s ... I don't know but the online mode is not working, no matter what I do. Even if I had any doubts before, I already know that I will skip buying PES this year.
Unplayable for me to. I'm having issues with lag, low or high my game is lagging. 120 fps on high settings but is choppy like hell. 24GB of ram and Rx580, 6core processor. I play PES2019 on max with 100+ fps.

Thank u again. I'll comply a complete list and run it by you if that's ok before I spend the monies

Pretty funny moment just now, was losing to the CPU and gave away a penalty right at the end. With the last kick of the game the CPU player skies the penalty way over the bar, the player collapses to his knees but is celebrating because his team still won. :D
