Fake strikes were in, changed to a new key binding. R2 + circle for high pass was still in. Double tap for low cross was still in. I was surprised to see a lot of people saying things were removed then playing it and finding they were still there! Loads of people saying no Super Cancel, but when I tried it it worked, and sure enough it was in their controls section like normal.but in short things like fake strikes, the strikes in general, close control, removing the R2 + pass mechanics for a higher or for a bit more accurate low pass, and the defense play will be a HUGE problem, etc.
It's much more likely they were doing it because they're changing the name, which has been forthcoming for a while now let's face it. I said this pretty much the day of the beta, and I'm really surprised people think the placeholder name means anything else. That for me still means that it's an old build made with the purpose of just testing the connection as they said, and they don't want any one to think it's PES or near to the final product, because it won't be like that
For some unexplained reason, I'm feeling like this might happen. Who knows...You say that - it'd be pretty cool if, after the announcement, you could grab a new beta, or a demo. Unless it was barely changed from the last one.
that Neymar looks so sad... what does he know!?
Even Konami didn't know. It depends of the TOS that Neymar will do tomorrow morning.does anyone know at what time there will be a trailer or something like that?
Ooh, I see. Thanks for the explanationThat was the joke - in The Simpsons, the monkey paw grants your wish, but in such a way that you hate it. As in the phrase, "be careful what you wish for".
...to THIS!

Granted there are still further changes and things to worry about

Nah man, these are just FIFA animations after being tackled as far as I'm concernedThats me when I'm drunk.
Or is this the new motion capture animations? Hopefully not to fast - I play every time with -2 speed.🤭
If this is true ----take with a pinch of salt------then I call the Death of the PES series. If they can't release offline modes for PS5 by "end of year" ...

Ooh, I see. Thanks for the explanationnever watched the Simpsons
someone should explain to that guy what downgrades are and just how well they've been mastered by ubisoft
Could well be. End result though, if Konami can't deliver a FULL Next Gen PES by let's say October 15th, disaster for them.View attachment 111198
This seems a sensible reply.
Sounds like rumours that probably started with Renan, fed into the rumour sphere, wound their way into the Japanese blog, then translated and outputted again as a fresh rumour by Galvani![]()
I did initially, but link "New Football Game" to @Ameppe's spot that all mention of PES is being removed and replaced with eFootball across the official sites, and... It seems to me like they're very purposefully dropping "PES" and severing all ties with the idea that it's even related, any more.
Being in marketing, I know that companies never, ever drop a brand name with strong brand recognition (it's so hard to get that any more), unless A) they're either trying to distance themselves from their old customers and desperately chase a younger audience ("hey kids, that crusty old PES game your dad talks about, we're not that - we're new and cool")... Or B) the brand has got a terrible quality reputation, and they want to "start again" so that customers don't realise it's them.
I don't think they will totally drop PES from the title for precisely the reasons you outlined. You say that - it'd be pretty cool if, after the announcement, you could grab a new beta, or a demo. Unless it was barely changed from the last one.
"Rumors" from web
We could have 2 versions of Pes
1)Free to play on PS4 in September without any offline mode
2)Complete Game with all offline mode only for PS5 and Xbox, in January
Take it just as a "rumors" nothing else
I don't think they will totally drop PES from the title for precisely the reasons you outlined.
I think the "New Football Game " name genuinely was to distinguish it from PES and the main purpose was to test network connectivity.
I've thought for some time that tomorrow might well see the release of a revised beta with vastly improved graphics and extended controls and gameplay, together with another survey , the results of which will contrast hugely with the initial survey.
I think the new game will be essentially a PS4 game running UE4 with a PS5/Xbox One X "enhanced" version, so not really "next-gen" in my opinion (but not really any the worse for that gameplay wise).
So I'm fairly optimistic, but realise I might well end up disappointed. Either way, we'll know soon enough.
Where I'm not so upbeat is on Master League improvements, which I can't see being extensive.
I should have added that I agree, if they do remove "PES" from the title, of course then it will be a strong indication of where the game is headed, and the probable ditching of us older, mainly offline fans.I did initially, but link "New Football Game" to @Ameppe's spot that all mention of PES is being removed and replaced with eFootball across the official sites, and...
