I'm so relaxed while waiting news

It's funny because I'm thinking now of what a behemoth EA and FIFA are in general but remember before Konami went to shit. It's funny we are worried about PES constantly these days when this was a game and company that produced absolute greatness consistently. Look at the sales numbers in the mid 2000s. Konami really botched that PS3 transition and we've been in quicksand ever since.

PES 5, a game from 2005/6 is still WIDELY played - crazy when you think about it. Is anyone playing FIFA 06 and enjoying it today? 🤣

Actually Fifa 06 was such a big improvement in terms of gameplay and from fifa's standards, it does hold up to some extent.

Just play fifa 04 and then play 06. One feels unplayable and the other one is completely enjoyable enough to play today.

As for ps3 era, I think PES 13 is very decent. I also liked how PES 14 had good animations and was slow but the inputs were responsive asf compared to current PES games. I didn't really enjoy PES 15-21 that much tbh.

In my opinion of course. Full disclaimer: I am a complete casual player but not into online modes either.

Pes 2014 at release was not responsive, at all. They had to cut almost all the innovations like MASS and the new animation system to make it more responsive few months after release.

Unfortunately they never tried again to reach a middle ground between the Pes 2014 engine and responsiveness. They simply stripped away almost every fundamental innovation and the year after Pes 2015 was the result. From Pes 2015 onwards it has only been slight tweaks here and there.
That is a brief summary of recent Pes history.

Konami at a meeting conference:

New old gen season update near a another new old gen season update. Brilliant! Konami. Konami. Konami. Ko*#&$
I'm sorry guys!

I watched a little bit from the other cash game the trailer from today. And yea it could also go semselfs to the really awesome staff from €A in that video.
But I'm also a little bit suprised why they don't kiss each other and make some love in that video.

So Konami, all hope goes to you!

Renan also spreaded the rumour that Konami reveal Will be at 6:00AM in Brazil time, wich is less than 12 hours. I am not sure. Could be bs. Anyone has heard the time of the reveal?

I agree with you, but to me, that just goes to show how good a game PES 5 was.

And still is for that matter. Great games don't really become bad. I wonder how it would fare today with up-to-date rosters, hi-res graphics and a decent online element? Likewise, "newer" often doesn't mean" better".

Fifa 10 onwards for a few years was good too (for me manual passing and 360 degree movement were important innovations), but to me Fifa has gone backwards for the last few years, and PES has surpassed it again.

But what we all surely crave is for a steady upwards progression. What I really hate is fancy named features that don't improve the gameplay, and are often just recycled ideas with new names.

We've effectively been sold yearly update rosters to a large extent by both games for some years now, with some small improvements, but too often at the expense of backward steps and missing features.

I'd add that PES 2021 was sold as a yearly update, an honest move, which actually exceeded my expectations if I'm honest.

I PROMISE to you that it will be next-gen. Wait and see if you don't believe me
I think it's relatively likely myself. But what is the source of your conviction? You've put it in the thread numerous times – not a strong guess or informed estimate but a "100%" and now a "promise".

Actually that's kind of my point. PES 5 is so good it's still played and updated today. They haven't really given us anything that great since PES 2013. If PES 2022 is actually great (or kind of great) it would have an insane amount of longevity.

I actually wish Konami could go this route to some degree. I really don't think yearly sports releases are necessary anymore with the ability to update compared to when we were kids.

My deep knowledge of Unreal Engine. Wait and see that this will be confirmed for sure :)

The trailer will be at 6 am Brazil, 10 am UK.
We will have DATES revealed as well, we should have a general version in September and another nextgen later this year.

the all free version looks really right, maybe this is the all generation version, few hours to go

If that is true... nextgen later this year? Wtf did they take two years for?

Guess that makes it the third year in a row just playing Football Manager.

Next Gen being later this year would really be ridiculous AFTER taking a year off.
