This honestly makes it more frustrating for me. I think the game is actually really good after the latest update but for what? If they improved the presentation/graphics and added ML/edit I’d be playing regularly.

Enjoying the game at the minute, on the pitch. Has passing been set to manual by default? feels different, but better.
Not sure about passing but defending is definitely much more manual now. The entire community is crying about it (who would have thought) so it'll probably be patched soon.
So is this essentially picking ac milan with the updated squad and then playing through the seadon?

Yes, it's an offline league basically but because it's technically 'dream team' you have to buy all of the AC players to actually have the correct team. It's stupid but I have done it with utd

This is what people don't understand this is what the game is now. Konami think they delivered their promise with my league and unlocked teams offline nothing else is coming. Durandil has been data mining each update and there hasn't been any new files added to the master league since 2 years ago when they released my league nothing else is coming just more shiny messi cards there's no money to be made from us offline players anymore.

Does this not confirm that content added 2 years ago under the guise of "Master League" stuff is actually "My League" stuff (as @Kwiz says) or content for the microtransaction side of things?
Can we finally move on now and accept eFootball isn't PES and it's never coming back?
I agree, the gameplay is far superior to that of PES 20/21 and any previous version of eFootball.
I don't think either of the things you've mentioned will ever come to eFootball though.

I don't think they will because I am pretty sure DFL would file a lawsuit against Konami. If they did it to smaller Indie Studios in the past who had unlicensed fake German teams, then I am pretty sure Konami would definitely get one.

But there's one thing, they talked about a "brand" new mode and nothing related to ML. They knows themselve it's not ML or a Career mode, nothing is authentic.
Believe me if they release even a league mode with access to some players, or cup mode : their add-on will NEVER be done for free.
The other game mode is just a compensation for people who prefers to play offline (yes, but with real teams for the love of god).
It's more a Myclub offline than a ML, but yes like you i believe that doing ML like in precedent iteration would take too much time (and no time : no money).
I wouldn't ask or believe on a full real ML mode like on PS4 but i will be just happy with a reduced version like on PS2 but with, as it's already in the game, a better player system to train players and up/down stats methods.
Now you can forget what i said (i mean it's some imagination coming in my mind not something i believe), i only talk about what would make me play Efootball : i never ever said that i believe they will create something like all i mentionned,. We agree. Then the 2 cents question : why they will create something like this when the game is offereing them more money than they never got? No reason neither, you can look their situation from 200 differents perspective. And they invest in all the same thing in the way as in 2021.
One thing i'm sure, is that the guys in all related to players, database and gameplay part seems to work elsewhere or not with those DiscoFunkyWeirdo people selling some pig statues and co.
Played a few games with this new update, it is nice to see the AI coming up with new stuff on the pitch (it is getting a bit predictable in PES 21 after years of playing) but the whole feel is just so feather light compared to 21, I don't feel any weight on the players. Manual passing is decent but at the start the game is choosing a lot of incorrect receivers, although the passes themselves are mostly as intended. Once again, I would be ready to sink time into this if it was a PES game with actual game modes.
Amazing that they chose to double down on that horrendous design of the splash screen in game, with adboards and balls ready to make you bleed from your eyes.

After so many years i cant use dribbles and tricks beside the basics. Is there any good guide on how to use them? I use only the classic shoot/pass feint and rabona lol

I can't believe what they did to the game with this update 😭
Everything is noticeably worse. The defenders are dumber. It's sped up like FIFA. The ball has a weird weight to it. Player switching is worse than ever. The whole game is thoroughly unenjoyable. Such a disappointment that they managed to ruin the little good that was still left 😞

I completely disagree. The defenders aren't dumber, defending is just a lot more manual so you can't expect match-up to bail you out every time, you have to be tactical with the way you tackle.
Player switching is the same as before but maybe you think it's different since you try to execute that command a little too late as the opponent tries to play a through ball to his pacey striker, which is something that's become very effective this update.

I haven't liked any version of efootball that I've tried but your comment highlights a fundamental flaw with the approach of a digital-only game with no roll-back option...once you've applied their latest update, if you don't like it, you're stuck with it. At least in the old days of buying a new DVD each year, you had the original DVD version to fall back on, or even go back to playing previous years' editions (as is all many of us PES fans have left to do). Even if Konami ever did release a good version of efootball, it's only a matter of weeks until their next update, which could ruin it.

I'm fine with defending being manual, but as I can only control one defender at the time I'd expect the other defenders to not just stand loitering around, not letting balls pass them by without intercepting them etc. But that's just me.
Maybe it's just a matter of taste, but I really dislike this latest iteration of the game. It reminds me of all the things I used to dislike with the FIFA games.
I find that in eFootball in general it's far more effective to block passing lanes with the defender you're controlling, rather than relying on the CPU to intercept passes, it's hilariously bad at it. You're right on that front, but I think it's been that way since at least eFootball 25.
I agree, I think it's just a matter of taste. I for one disliked eFootball 25 heavily, and I'm really liking eFootball 26. I can see how it can seem similar to FIFA though, as in earlier iterations of eFootball pace wasn't very important, it's the most important stat now. To the point where even your defenders have to be pacey.
