The Retro-PES Corner

Hello everyone,

A PES6 tournament is coming up very soon!
It will be held in a cozy bar in the heart of PARIS.
While we wait to reveal all the details, here's a sneak peek at the prizes up for grabs...

- Playstation 2 in box
- Wireless Controller Pro Evolution Soccer
- Book Guide Official PES6
- PES 6 Game
- HDD 500go with all WE-PES

That's great that something like this is happening. Not the prize (which of course is great) but the fact people are meeting and playing the game. Online games are ok but they're not as good as "couch" gaming.

I agree with your message.

My goal is to unite people around a game that's dear to us, and to awaken nostalgia in some.

The price is just an excuse, and I'm happy to invest in it.

Maybe I will look to see if there's any tournaments in the UK. Sounds like fun. Anyway good luck with the tournament and let us all know how you did! 👍

With cable? Ayo... I'm clueless then what would work for that
yes. xbox one controller with usb cable.

its kind of strange. if i switch R2 with R1 in the controls settings. the decrease of attack level works. but then again the increase, which is now on R2, does not work :-D

it seems pes 6 has a problem with the shoulder buttons, if it have an axis...

Thank you so much for this bro. Works perfectly on PS2 hardware on USB with FMCB and OPL. Just wondering do you have any option files for ps2 with classic players/classic teams and WEN points unlocked? The OF you have linked with the ISO is a .max file which will not work on ps2 bro.

If not, do you know where there are any other option files available for thios version on PS2. Do PES 5 .opt files work or do are the WE9LE option files not interchangeable with PES 5.

Either way thanks so much bro.

hi , i need help with converting text to png like the attached image, can someone tell me a good program or a website please

Thanks bro worked perfectly using PS2 hardware and OPL 0.9.3 on USB. This version sms slower and better than WE9LE on PS2 imo.

Just wondering even though this iso is already in English etc, do you know any option files that can be used on PS2 for this title also with kits etc.

Thanks again bro.

Hello there the ISO link is offline could we get a re upload bro. Thanks.

So, I've been playing Winning Eleven 7: International lately, the Japanese PS2 edition which is lauded by some as the "definitive" PES3/WE7 experience.
My verdict thus far? I do NOT enjoy this game at all. PES3/WE7 is one of my favorite PES games, but this? This game feels like overtuned, unoptimized, cartoonish parody of PES3.

Defensive marking is ridiculous and makes you regret ever falling in love with football itself, shooting is a mess and as a result, your forwards will often be missing the easiest sitters ever, for no apparent reason other than the game feeling like it. Players feels sluggish, slow and unresponsive, regardless of their attributes. Referees? Some of the most wildly inconsistent refereeing in any PES/WE game (which I suppose is fairly realistic). Had to get this off my chest.

i think you only need an english translated rom since i don't think the adboards have been changed or whatever (which you can find in roms sites ) , the option file is the important thing (which still has a working link )
or alternatively you can pick the KM mix patch which can be found here https://evoweb.uk/threads/we10-km-mix-patch-1-2-ultimate-of-winter-2006-by-ogaitnas99.74913/
Yes but moros ISO files work perfectly on PS2 hardware using OPL and a USB stick. A lot of the other ISO files or patches downloadable elsewhere don’t work properly using this setup. So instead of me downloading multiple different versions of an English translated ISO file and wasting time testing them I thought I’d ask for a re-up and let the OP know the link is down. Yes I know the option file is working but I would like a working iso file yo go with it. Obviously if the op cannot re-upload it then I will look elsewhere.

Everything is not as simplistic as you think.

Kind Regards.

Interesting because PES3 is my favourite of the generation and I find WE7I to be the most polished iteration!
