Personnally i wanted one instead of a PSP jailbreak as there's tons of interesting exclusivities, but the price make me close Firefox
Well it's the XL version, but the others version are harder to found, and for portable i prefer not taking the risk to buy a second-hand one, the 2 screens needs to be impeccable for me.

That would be great Marq, also just to let you know that the tool you did is really really helping by making it so much quicker. Apart from the player appearances and some kits my OF is almost finished. :)

Did you happen to try installing that import PSD button into the PES2008 editor? I didn't ask before because I know you are a busy man without having to work out things for PES2008 which has about 5 fans :LOL:

to be honest, no, i haven't tried to add but... im working on my own option file editor, right now just to give support for J League games but I'm trying to make it easy when it comes to port into others games, so yeah probably that and sofifa import will be two main features

Sadly a lot of games, were Japansese release only, or the West Port, NA,EU is usually butchered edition,in comparison to the Japanese ones, s lot of staff removed, don't know why ...Just Nintendo staff . :)

Only AAA games like Fire Emblem escaped that fate..

Last O.T. for me : you can also play GBA games too, but my friend showed me a 3DS basic, not XL.
It's a good investment.
I checked the price for a new 3DS XL, and it's very close to the price on the website (i already ordered here a PS3 Jailbraik, Alex is well known in France, he "boost" the console, replace everything for having it like if you brought a new console etc.)

If you mean by legit ways, only the OLD NDS, before the DSi ...Cause latter models the GBA cartridge port was removed.

P.S.: @vialli82 If you want an opinion, better go for a new2DS, instead of a new3DS, it is much cheaper and the differences are practically zero.
 
There's almost 4 or 5 websites like this. CDRomance is the best to me (there's also version patched/transltated) with Emugun too > i found WE version who wasn't anywhere else. I got WE10LE (PES6LE Korea) and the very very hard to found was WE9LE PS2 version on a youtube link, but didn't found any translation patchs for both unfortunately.

Btw, i tried some players and overwrited them with some others Eusebio > Bendtner etc. and they got the cost they should have on PES 5.
BUT, i found the issue about the "research" players. It's related to PESSHOP Players, if they aren't on your ML leagues, they won't appears, which is sad as there's a lot.

Is that "Created" section causing trouble on PES old school or not? I remember it was the case on FOX version, but not PS2.
If not, i think i think it's better to use that method instead of tricks causing others problems. Too much players to create for too less departure.

Edit: @slamsoze that's shitty seriously... I tried the XL version too and it's way better, the screen size is ideal. But whatever, you don't buy a 3DS to play GBA games :) (OT end too)

Yes about 2DS, but i love, really, the relief from the 3DS. But i don't want to buy one, i was talking for you in fact lol. I already got as much consoles and games unfinished, and editing to continue etc.

I think the PES shop players HAVE TO be in a club to appear in ML...I had a case with Robinho and Freddy Adu, back when they used to be in PES-shop, so IIRC, PES SHOP+No Club=No in ML..

Not 100% sure though.. A lot years have passed...
 
I just discovered it on my latest post lol.
Now, it's about players from "Created" section i need to know if it's risky or not for ML. If not, then, no problem, i'll use that method.
 
For PES 2, you will got to use an emulator, PCSX2 @Thehappynoob54
It still a not so bad version after replayed it. To me that game and WE6FE are like an enigma, a special version.

Hard to class it. But i believe the version who were out after PES 6, PS2 version are as good as the previous, just that we got "no nostalgia" of those ones.

Especially PES 2008 and PES 2014, those ones are apart, the ball physics on both are the best from old school PES in my opinion. But the others suffers from some flaws, i don't know why (PES 2009-2013 too fast and attack oriented for example)

And the pace/balance is the most realistic and less action-football on PES 2014 (like the "Beta PS360PC game").
I retried the current and old-old gen and what's make the difference is the pitch size. Before, it wasn't as big as a real football pitch. Now, it is.

The players are closer to each others, and there's less space so much more contacts, less micro stuff happening on the pitch. But the game flow have the PES signature on both.
 
@vialli82 Really really sorry for OT, last i promise and i apologise. I try to save you some money here ;)

I was in the very same dilema in early 2020, and i ended to buy a NEW2DSXL. First of all, in my old 3DS, i never use the 3D feature, i set the tuner-switch to OFF, cause most games that support 3D are not well optimized, its either too blury or provokes headaches after some time (the worst cases).

Just to be fair here, New3DSXL improved a lot this feature in order to work better in "3D mode", in comparison to old N3DS. It was much improved by NINTENDO.

Another HUGE cons for me... New3DSXL due to some supposed ENVIROMENTAL policy, comes without charger plug-cable, while N2DSXL, N2DS, has the cables in the box! Additionally there is not much difference in screens.

In order to not make it worse, i set in spoiller links for the above, check the comparison image, only the 3D is the difference, and the price of course. Also on N2DSXL there are more discounts and more special console versions, much more colours , and better bundles. Lime being my favourite, unfortunatelly it was out of stock when i got mine.

Finally if you DIE HARD for 3D only, then go for it, in any other case, just grab the N2DSXL..This from someone that was tempted for 2 months to avoid N2DSXL due to the no-3D, then succumbed to N2DSXL and now is more happy than ever for his choice....

Yes i DIE HARD for 3D / Relief, that's the main reason i wanted a 3DS even if it was a Sony console so i don't really care about the rest 🤣
I tried Donkey Kong on it, and i was like "i want one. i WANT one" lol

That's why i would pay for it : you know, it's a bit the same reason i've brought a WII at the time. It was "outdated" but the feeling to play was sensational, even brought the "gun" to play on some games.
It's all about immersion.

In the option file there's a section where pes shop players are listed (i mean hex data)... Maybe if we remove them from there it will change things? I dont know, also probably we will need to convert the of into db files and add them into the iso, create a new of...

It's been a little while since I did a ML but I thought they on the 'other' list. Although maybe if the shop isn't unlocked?? I can't recall having played a ML without everything being unlocked since probably at the time of the initial release. Also if shop players were moved to a team wasn't that one of the causes of a ML crash? At least if they were moved within the editor anyway. Again could be wrong, it's been a while. I know I always avoid moving them when making an OF anyway.

EDIT:

Just had a look and if you select yes in hidden/classic then they appear in Others. If you select no then they don't. Also no shop players are in any team squads in the OF I used. I think that causes a crash anyway as I said (although perhaps not if hidden/classic is off?)

Sorry for completely off topic, but was not sure where to post this but excellent documentary here on the history of gaming in the arcades. So far he has done the 70’s and the 80’s and I believe he is working on the 90’s at the moment. They are very well put together and very interesting.

I was born in the 70’s so didnt go to the arcades at that time but the 70’s one is still a good watch because it shows how it all began. The 80’s is the one for me and is over 4 hours long! Have not finished watching it yet :D Some great memories there. :)

I tried just after i asked the question, register 2 players and search for them, after starting an ML (without the team where they're registered of course)
They don't appears when you make a reseach.
Only if they are in a team which participate to ML (unfortunately) on PES 5 at least.

Mind sending me your option file? I could try to do the change i said before and you can test it and see if that works, i dont know if it will cause a crash on some modes, but if it works you will get to use those players

I will explain as i created 2 players for 2 teams and transferred them, you will try with those. But i repeat : it's on PS2. Not PC. It's an option file for PS2 users and a basis for PC "patchers" to have an accurate basis, and just have to assign Preset faces and all graphical stuffs.

Don't mind about teams are all is in construction : i'm taking notes at the moment for players to transfers/remove/keep, that's what's taking most of the time.
Checking litterally every players on the game...
To edit and recopy once you've got the plan and players to create, it's simplier, just follow it. Same as rebuilding faces.

Sure don't worry, i know how to edit ps2 option files, i wrote a tool for that, i just read that you were having an issue with pes shop players not showing up in the ML, but maybe the fix will need you to share also an iso file not just the option file
 
Hi bros, just a simple question: How do I set up auto-subs in PES 5? I finally found the option for Auto Sub and Auto positioning in PES 6 but not PES 5. Thanks in advance! :TU:

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to @geeeeee for the PES 2008 (PS2) option file and for the help in installing it via McBoot. Finally had time to get it working over the weekend.

Now I know what's what, I'm after a PES 3 option file. I can see you had one going @Flipper the Priest but the link appears to be dead.
