Naughty Dog dev confirms PS3 cross-game chat

Naughty Dog developer who goes by the PlayStation Network username of ReklissAbandon has confirmed on the official PlayStation boards that cross-game chat is on the way, accidentally it seems as his original post has been removed and replaced with the word "deleted".

"I think they wanted people to have fun and enjoy the show since all dead players can talk to each other no matter what team you are on," the Naughty Dog dev's original post read, "but I will suggest it anyway. Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies positions."

I just ordered Demon's Souls from Videogamesplus.ca for £44. Its been getting fantastic reviews from Eurogamer, IGN, Gamespot, 1up etc.

I hope its not so hard that my anger gets vented onto the TV/PS3! Should hopefully be here in a couple of days as they have very quick shipping. I will write my thoughts on it once done. In the meanwhile Uncharted 2 and Operation Flashpoint will be keeping me busy. Then next Friday its PES 2010. My poor wallet will be hurt at the end of the month and it doesnt help that I just lost over £300 due to fraudsters either!

Hmm. Last I had heard was that SCEE hadn't confirmed a date yet. If its out this year then I will wait for the PAL release.
 
Anyone tried Bayonetta? Downloaded it off Japanese PSN and at first thought it was another easy bash 'em up style of game but after spending some good time with it I'm really liking the battles.

Lorne Lanning's Oddworld is heading to the PlayStation Store this week.

From Thursday, PSone instalments Abe's Oddysee (1997) and Abe's Exodus (1998) will be available for $9.99 apiece, according to the US PS blog.

"We can't help but feel like Abe is our lost child who has finally returned home. He's still healthy, he's still happy, and if you read the forums lately... still holding up after all these years," added game director Lanning.

Oddworld: Abe's Odysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exodus are platform games about Abe, unsurprisingly - a slave who must free his people and restore his race to glory. Both titles garnered hefty critical acclaim.

Good news but I still want Microsoft to do the same. They support Munch's Oddysee but not Stranger's Wrath, hence why I've still got an original Xbox in the loft.
