PS3 Firmware 2.20 to enable Portable Copy

We previously gave you a heads-up on what could be the features of Sony PlayStation 3 Firmware 2.20. Now, a new report ups the ante by revealing yet another cool feature.

PC World recently revealed that PS3 FW 2.20 will support "Portable Copy". Essentially, it strengthens the bond of Sony's console with its handheld counterpart, the PlayStation Portable, by allowing movie sharing.

Portable Copy lets users create standard-definition versions of Blu-ray movies and transfers them to the PSP.

This goes with other enhancements that BD-Live, otherwise known as Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0, will bring.

We'll keep an eye out for more information on this exciting development. Keep checking back here with us to make sure you don't miss it.

I got it and it seems slightly dull

Maybe you need to play it with friends, trying to beat each others games or something... but i just don't get it.

From videos i assumed we were looking at burnout crash mode style game modes but you basically just mess around for no reason.

There are some slight game modes --- hit the monkeys as fast as possible, grab a mime artist and break some glass as fast as possible and then fun with explosives (free download) which is just a sandbox mode for kicks.

BUT... there just isn't that much to do... after a few fires and seeing things break i lost interest. I've been going back now and again but after a few goes i lose interest again and turn it off

the second was easily the greatest of the series - i LOVED how the story linked both sides and then the replay through had you playing the other persons mirrored story from the first play through

amazing!

And i love the guy at the start whose shop you walk in on

'... but you should be safe inside here... i'm keeping a close eye on things'

smash

'argh'

brilliant

Amazing In-Game Demo Shown Running on PlayStation 3

A website known as 4Sceners have uploaded an image gallery of screen caps they received when they viewed an amazing in-game demo on the PlayStation 3. They said the game's graphics were truly in-game and looked better than Crysis, KILLZONE 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4.

The translation is rough, but they describe the video as opening up with the PlayStation 3 logo showing. The video is called Linger in Shadows. They say the experience was so intense. The gallery features many animals, such as a huge cat showing near a Greek temple, and a dog. They say the quality is something to be desired. We have no idea if this is a game, because of translation. But if you could help us out, here is the original link.

Timed exclusives for games is one thing, you get used to it and you expect from time to time but timed exclusives for DLC is just wrong. How on earth can Activision and Infinity Ward see this as a good thing, the new maps will be released on the PS3 a week before GTA IV now. Idiots!

Also how can Sony allow this to happen?!
