Sony PlayStation 3

Got my PS3 shortly after launch for £300 from eBay, I'd keep checking there as they come up quite a lot.
 
Gamestation do the $424 deal - the 60 gig HD console with an extra joypad - a choice of 2 games (Resistance/Motorstorm/F1/Genji/ridge Racer) and 3 blue ray movies (you get Casino Royal, Fantastic 4 and Ghost Rider - they were sold out of ghost rider so i was given 'Rocky')

They had other deals like 1 extra pad and 1 game for $450

YES thats MORE money and you get less!!!!

The manager who was talking me through the deals just said out right 'the 424 deal is the only deal worth buying... the rest just dont make any sense'
 
I'm having trouble setting up my PS3 via wifi, help anyone...
 
Wheres good places to get cheap six axis controllers and while im at it, 360 ones too.

When is the Dualshock 3 scheduled? and is the PS3 camera still due for december?

Claims that Sony will shortly launch cut-price 40GB model in the UK

Consumer site CVG is reporting that “several” off-the-record sources have assured it that Sony is preparing to counter the massive hype generated by Microsoft’s release of Halo 3 by launching a stripped down 40GB version of the PS3 for £299 in the UK.

Sky News is apparently reporting that the unit will be missing several of the features currently boasted by the 60GB model – such as backwards compatibility and USB ports.

Meanwhile, Next-Gen reports that Sony is turning to PlayStation2 producer FoxConn to produce the new hardware.

I would rather have the 60 gig version :D

Smart thinking by Sony though, they'll release it just before Christmas.
 
USB stick. I've copied NCAA roster updates from my PC to PS3 using a USB memory stick and it worked a treat. The PS3 recognises the stick and the save files on it, gives you an option to copy to your HDD and you're off :)

Nah, Sony has done well with that. As well as free online, nice HDD size, built-in wireless, card reader (dunno what use it is yet hehe) and pads that can be charged by a PC (REALLY nice feature), Sony has done a lot right. Unfortunately it's doing things wrong too, but that's to be expected.
 
Dazimus for me. I very rarely go on my PS3 to be honest. I disconnected my PS3 HDMI cable to use my 360 with HDMI. Haven't plugged the PS3 in as I've only got a composite shitty cable. Might have to buy a component cable for my PS3.

Toni, you got Warhawk didn't you? We should organise a Warhawk Evo-Web session :)

For the people who have both the 360 and PS3

which console would you recommend me buying??

i don't really mind that 360 has more games right now because its been out longer. I hear that PS3 will be a big hit in 2008, but X-Box Live is tempting as it supposed to be faaaar better than PSN.
