Real Madrid Thread

So Mourinho says the 3 positions they need are RB,LB and CM. I think RB is nailed on as Maicon (good signing), LB is more difficult to predict with Cole being a possibility not really sure who else they might go for whilst CM he probably wants one of Essien or De Rossi.

Real can become a scary opposition if they become a solid defending unit with the individual talent they have.

Essien and Maicon would make me pee my pants. Them two signings alone would make Madrid the team they were hoping to become last year.

I will calmly sit in my sofa and watch my team trash Madrid again next year. It will be delightful. :BOP:

PS: Notice I'm joking, don't kill me!

Hahaha I will never kill you, I like to discuss with you mate.

And yeah, your team will probably beat mine next season. Madrid needs a solid project under Mourinho command, perhaps the second season will be the one to win it all.

Maicon, Kolarov and De Rossi are the targets. Well, I don't like too much Ramos as CB but Mou knows what is doing. Kolarov is a good LB and De Rossi will be a key in the squad.

I dont' think Essien or Rossi will go to Madrid. They talk about a lot of players, but the only "sure" players would be Maicon and Kolarov, that are great signings for them.

Rumours are that Madrid is going to invest around 200 million € again this year and 100 of them are to sign Rooney. I doubt Manchester sells Rooney, but you never know, money is money for the idiots that rule Man Utd these days. Someday someone will tell where the money comes from at Madrid!

Thing is, no matter how much they offer I doubt Rooney will leave.

The Glazers might accept the offer (in fact, probably definitely would) but Rooney won't talk to them.

He's born and bred in the north west of England, he's started a family with Coleen and Kai, and he's the spearhead and inspiration of our team, he'd have to have a serious falling out with SAF and the rest of the team to consider moving IMO.

i`m becoming a plastic madrista  never liked mourinho but let`s be honest he gave My team a very hard time in the epl. So it`s pure bitterness hala madrid! ya filthy animals

Rooney isn't Ronaldo, They might try their best but I can't see Rooney leaving unless the Glazers forcing the issue of accepting and letting Wayne go (which then sparks other bigger issues).

Ah bollocks. I was hoping to see how Mourinho would handle the Raul situation this season but looks like he's off to Schalke.

Well, it's a monday, not weekend like Ronaldo. Besides, Raul has been declining and hasn't had a stellar season for a long time, the last one was maybe 6, 7 years ago?

He had good season or two when he played with Ruud upfront, the season that Ruud got a few a assists ( I think they all resulted in Raul goals too).

He is still my favourite player.

even if it was 34.July... 500 fans? for this there is no explanation than just...this people dont deserve to have this players and praise...there is no supporters..if you dont say goodbye to an icon of the club...no matter if he sit on bench last season..it is still your long captain..it is shame - so called best club... joke.

He will take what he deserved for his loyalty, devotion and passion for Real Madrid. Sooner or later all madridistas will pay tribute to the eternal captian. He didn't want a goodbye show, to be true, it isn't a goodbye but more a like 'see you later'.

And sorry to disappoint you but Real Madrid is the best club in the world.

¡Hasta luego capitán!

Best based on what? :TTTH: your few CL in row 50 years ago?...ok..but still AC Milan won more trophys overall in theyr histtory, so they are most succesfull club, not madrid...Barca are best club in spain now.

and to say it is not goodbye..it is still not excuse..it is just this factory making stars out of players who dont deserve to be praised like they are..there is lots of better players than Madrid have in other europe clubs..

Raul dont deserve only 500 fans coming up somewhere on his way out of Bernabeu...on his place i would feel a bit let down...

Anyway..your board think they succed with Mourinho? You had amazing coach in Pellegrini, who actually was building a team...and your board fire him in first season? Mourinho will be out sooner than many expect..

Mourinho will be a success, i believe. At least a league in the next two years will be his. Don't see him succeeding in the Champions League, though.

As for Raul... even i feel sorry for that number. Seriously now - that amount of people would have gathered even at the Camp Nou to say goodbye to a great player like him.

In all fairness, guys, i'm not sure it was announced "come say goodbye to Raul" cause more people would have attended i'm sure :)

Clearly the current board made every possible thing to minimize his goodbye. There was no club announcement, they didn't allow him to say goodbye in a match... To do this to someone like Raul, that has been always a gentleman in and out of the stadiums... it talks very poorly about the current state of the club. I can't possibly imagine Puyol leaving like that.

Madrid was big years ago, but right now this club seems absurdly managed by mobs and egos.

Raul has been one of the best spanish players of all time (if not the best), he's a legend, a gentleman and he totally deserved a better goodbye, and the idiots that didn't allow it should burn in hell.

C'mon even Albiol made a lot more than that. That means nothing. Last year Real had the stadium ready and invited everyone to come to the unveiling of the players.

Raul is still one of the top selling shirt players at Real right?

On the other hand, I don't agree with releasing him. You just see that happening in Real while other clubs hold on to their iconic players but they didn't give him much to think about staying. Last year was just a year to forget and he was third choice striker behind Higuain and new signing Benzema who was the reason Raul left.

Don't give number 7 to Ronaldo.

Unfortunately I agree on many points you sort out. Nowadays, Real Madrid is managed by capitalists with zero sense about football. Is all about money, money and money. Since many years Madrid hasn't at charge a person who understands football instead of be care of business. That's why I believe Mourinho will succeed at Bernabeu because he used to control all football area making the important decisions. More than a coach, Mourinho is also a manager and believe he will the Champions, La Liga and La Copa del Rey in 2 years (I don't thing he will take it this current season).

About the dimension of Real Madrid, I'm keep saying my friends, Real Madrid is THE top club in World. When you arrive at Madrid you know this is the biggest achievement in your career. I know Real Madrid isn't the best football team today, but it is the most important sporting institution in the world. His history, his structure, his culture make Real Madrid the most powerful club in the world.

One last note about Raul and Guti. Their loss represent also an identity loss for Real Madrid. A part of club's history has been lost in their departure.

AC Milan is a very top Club too very classy from their Christmas parties to their train facility

Absolutely beboq. The Milanello Lab is la Crème de la Crème of the Training Camp facilities around de world. They have even more titles than Real but they haven't the world wide dimension of the spanish club. I mean, Milan is big, huge and well known by all people but the trademark Real Madrid is bigger when you talk about supporters, merchandising and money.

Raul will have a farewell game in which he'll wear the white shirt once more. I just wish, even as an adversary, his leaving wouldn't have been minimized. When you have Totti, del Piero, Maldini... you KNOW they have to retire from their club. It's a price they pay for being such legends:P for the beauty of their story.

Well to be fair when it comes to trademark, merchandising and money arent Manchester United still the biggest. I'd say when it comes to luring players your top of that tree but that's more down to the last 15 or so years of creating a "Galactico" image.
