Real Madrid Thread

He likes to use muscle in his midfield, so I think one of the Diarra's will definitely start. He also likes to have strikers to complement each other. I'd imagine:

Higuain - Ronaldo
-----Kaka------
Diarra-----Alonso
-----Gago------

Someone new to play where I put Gago.

Alternatively, he also plays with 3 upfront... well 2 with 1 winger/support striker (Pandev/Balotelli).

Mourinho just makes the most of his players. Yes he puts a bit more emphasis on defence but if he has the right attacking players, you'll still get attacking football from him. And his Chelsea side proved this.
And besides, people can say what they want about his tactics. How many teams do you know that can beat Barca 3-1 at home like how Inter did? That was an amazing performance.

We play pretty much just like Mourinho's teams in Europe these days. Last time we played the "United" way was 06/07 and partially 07/08 (was more down to the sheer amount of talent we had)
In hindsight I was probably harsh on him but certainly this season at least, Inter's football has been among the worst in Serie A when I've watched them.

I'll probably reserve my judgement until we get a first hand look if he takes over from Fergie.

Oh no I think you forget the difference between playing with style and playing with substance. Mou is all substance, and all he cares about is winning. Even if it means he's walking out with half his team red-carded, he would probably do it (just trying to make a point here). For people like Rune, pretty football means shit if you don't win.

You can be sure that the RCB, LCB, and LB positions will be filled with very solid defenders and as someone mentioned earlier, some muscle in the midfield like Mahamadou. Obviously the only one who can judge the attacking potential of the is lineup is Mourinho, and you can be sure they'll be good on the counter.

PS: here's something for lols since we're on the subject of Jose:

The left side of Real needs tweaks. The team this year was very unbalanced with the right side being much stronger. You can bet either Maicon or Ashley Cole will arrive. Someone like Di Maria in attack and they already have Lass and Gago is that midfield position.

Yeah well that's why this Real test is perfect, they have the same requests as we do (however he wouldn't get sacked for it here just the fans wouldn't be happy) to play an attractive brand of football whilst bringing home results. if he can achieve it at Real then he can achieve it here.

Whatever is the formation, he can't escape from getting a left defender and a right winger.. He has 'good' subs but the team is unstable because these 2 are lacking in there.

If the less dreamy ones of speculations come true, I want to see this as the first XI.
-----------Casillas---------------
Ramos----Pepe-----Vidic----Vargas
---------Lass---Alonso-------
Ronaldo------Kaka---------Di Maria
------------Higuain*------------

*unless he disappears in important matches.

I hope so.

two combination more for defence.

ramos----pepe---david luiz----vargas
maicon----pepe---ramos----vargas

Ronaldo will lead the line, No way he'll be outwide were a shift defensively will need to be put in.

Higuain won't be there next season.

Personally I hope he leaves for a club where he is respected more. The amount of abuse he received after the CL exit was unjustifiable. Internazionale would be spot on for him.

Gago's career has stalled there and I do not like the idea of di Maria going there either. Lately it seems that this club is a millstone round our seleccion's players necks.

Valdano's loyalties seem to lie more to himself than any care over the seleccion's players as Maradona rightly complained.

Inter would be perfect for Higuain. They seem to be a nice home for people from his country and being paired with Eto'o sounds like a partnership many will fear.

Pipita swap deal for Il Principe ? Mourinho definitely wants Milito with him and does like di Maria to complement Ronaldo on the other wing.

I agree Inter would be perfect but I expect Abu Dhabi United to resurrect their interest .

I dont want to sounds biased or negative but he aint gonna do shit over there.

Indeed . It could well turn into another circus of Real Madrid proportions.

The club's behaviour notably its CEO is akin to that of Real Madrid who also like to unsettle other club's players (Everton for one)and think they are the only club of any worth on the planet.

I do find it amusing after years of Manchester City fan's complaining about the expenditure at Old Trafford , they have no qualms about spending exorbitant sums of money on some frankly mediocre players ie Lescott and yet again inflating the transfer and wages market to exorbitant levels.

On a sidenote both Real Madrid and Barcelona's spending is not good for the rest of La Liga and it's competitiveness , which in the long run may not prove sufficient to keep both clubs sharp for European competition.

Very true Albiceleste...

Not only they be spending but buying top players from their own league... with villa to barca, aguero leavin atl madrid, forlan maybe, fabiano linked with man U, the top clubs of la liga will suffer

Yes, the problem actually is that except Barcelona and Madrid, the rest of the clubs have yearly deficit. The only clubs that won money every year in the last 5 years are Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. The debt barcelona has is small and decreasing, while Madrid debt is big and increasing. But they both have the power to sign players.

Most of the La Liga teams have 0 euros to spend in the market, so they can't compete with average teams of other countries. That is turning the spanish league into a kinf od scottish league, with 2 big teams fighting the title every year. I miss a little more of emotion and balance.

About Madrid signigns, the only 2 players they need are Silva, Maicon and Robben ;)

I think the problems between them are over. They are smart guys, both know the team is more important than personal questions. I'm convinced there will be no problems between them.

You probably habven't heard Valdano all this years throwing crap over Mou, hahaha. They smile for the camera, but face it, they hate each other. Valdano wanted to renew Peelegrini. Mou is a signing of Florentino, as usual.

I will calmly sit in my sofa and watch my team trash Madrid again next year. It will be delightful. :BOP:

PS: Notice I'm joking, don't kill me!
