Real Madrid Thread

Kaka needs more space, if he gets that in the right position he will be great.

Guti and VDV are playing much better than him at the moment.

Where's Arjen Robben when you need him...

In the depression that has been this season this really cheered me up.

Also the EPL's dominance in europe is looking like continuing after this weeks results.

To win something you've got to be humble. Florentino is one of the most despicable persons of Spain, so I'm really glad for the tremendous shame he had to live yesterday in the stadium, with all the right wing party leaders around him.

It's sad how the mass media in Spain are bought by him to tell only lies again and again and when they lost yesterday, automatically asked for Pellegrini's head. 1 minute after the match! There's 0 analysis in the media in Spain (except some local media) so I'm glad the English teams show how stronger the EPL is to La Liga.

I think Madrid played a very good first half but the players started to accomodate and in the secondth half Lyon played wonderfully. They were very brave and showed incredible vision and effort.

That shows that any team can win in the champions, no matter how much money you put. Having a solid team is always more important, and right now Madrid is a great team in Spain but still has to walk a little more to try the Champions.

(I really hope our players learnt the lesson of previous matches and Madrid's lesson and display inmense effort against Stuttgart next week).

I just wonder about Higuain.

I mean, the guy has the talent to succeed, but he goes missing in the big games.

And although he had every right to take that chance in the first half, if he'dve passed it to Ronaldo next to him, it would've been 2-0 and you'd have to feel Madrid would be through.

Was that chance after he hit the post?

He seemed determined to go it alone and make up for the miss.

I ve got the feeling that Lyon would have passed anyway. Real Madrid doesnt feel like a team, it is a bunch of great players thrown to the pitch . Even Xabi, the guy we miss, didnt succeed in Real and I wouldnt be surprised if he leaved at the end of this season.

In fact, I think Real missed Xabi a lot yesterday. Not in the offensive role, but on the deffensive, specifically in the secondth half.

i dont know about any team can win in the CL. Lyon is the exception to the rule when it comes to performance without the huge coffers. The owner aulas? just seems to get football in the modern age.

Ronaldo scores another two. 24 goals in 25 games for Real. That is an amazing record.

Awesome. He is a goal machine. We must remeber is his first season in Madrid. Plus, he had an injury that kept him out for a long time.

PS: Today was really a great day for Madrid. We beat Barça in basketball for the Euroleague. :P

Great goals by Ronaldo, I keep saying he's specially good in power shooting, even though both goals showed a poor goalkeepeing, but that's due to his great power shots. Madrid played very well in the first 30 minutes agianst an opponent that was not even playing the match. I don't know what Michel did to his team, letting out of the starting eleven his best 2 players and playing with only one CMF against Madrid.

Reality is Madrid plays great when midfield works (Xabi Alonso and Van der Vaart are performing great), and it doesn't matter much if Kaka plays or not. Higuain is a great great player, can't understand how some people still doubts about him!

I Hated the way Casillas acted with Parejo though. Sooner or later this guy will return to Madrid.

I feel embarrassed about the game (or lack thereof) of Real Madrid and the amount of fouls we commit. This is not the Real Madrid in which I identify myself.

The good news Pellegrini will get sacked sooner or later. Money buys players, coaches but can't buy organization and planning. Mou is on the way I hope (unfortunately Sir Alex my idol is impossible lol).

Congrats to Barça. Although I don't like too much the type of their game, they showed us how to play quality football.

Oh Redondo Redondo! Oh I miss you and your colleagues! Good old times when we played fairly and top class football...

Well, Madrid put a lot of effort and dirty tackles, but not much more.

Allow me a joke: Florentino, GAME OVER. INSERT COIN.

The league is still undecided, there are 7 more matches and we have to win them all, because this Madrid is better than the rest of teams in La lliga and I think they will win all their following matches.

25 in 27 in the league. What a machine.

And then you've got Messi's ridiculous ratio of 31 in 33 as well.

These two are far ahead of the rest.

Overall, Ronaldo has 32 goals in 33 games this season. That's 0.96 goals per game. He's just a machine.
