Real Madrid Thread

^ If only he could stay injury free.

I'm guessing it will be Carvalho and Pepe at CB now...

How good is Casillas He has to be the best Keeper in the World, just watching him shot block ,shots after shot in the munich friendly.

He was the king and Pedro Leon has been good. Mourinho actually does have the best GK coach.

Perez must be thinking why did he miss on Ribery, great performance.

That's exactly what I was commenting with my dad during the match. Vitor Baía, Cech, Júlio César and now Casillas.

Good game tonight. The team is getting some game routines and guys like Canales or León are showing quality.

Ozil to madrid is now Official...I just hope that theres enough injuries this season so the kid could play cause this is the worse move he could ever done to his career at his age...

It's not overload. VDV will probably leave and Kaka is out until mid of the season so it will be him and Canales. I admire what Real are doing. They have a very youthful squad for the future and isn't that a good step being ready concerning the financial fair-play rule in 2012?

Özil for 11 mill and Khedira 12. That almost as Milan paid for Zambrotta. Bargains.

@ Milanista

if it would be Barça or Milan, you'd say "amazing transfers, great choices, wise movements with young talents" bla bla.. Real Madrid cares you soo much..

don't care me, too, though but they've made a very attractive squad.

Ever since the Kaka saga a few years ago, I'm still bitter and angry :PIRATE:

Kaka is injured. Ozil can play in supporting striker role, Canales plays in midfiled. Easy.

Not Really? their going to play 4-2-3-1 I presume.

----------Casillas----------
Ramos--Carvalho---Pepe--Marcelo?
-------Alonso---Khedira-------
--Ronaldo---Kaka/Ozil---Di Maria
----------Higuain/Benzema------

not sure I see many slots available and that's without mentioning players like Van Der Vaart and Pedro Leon.

Milanista, I think what made Kaka saga over was himself by the injuries he had in last seasons in Milan. And then Milan swindled Real, if you ask me. Isn't it good for you Milanistas?

Well, against teams that will park the bus in front of goal (almost all of La Liga), I can see that Alonso-Khedira duo not working because they will have to put more men up front.

Kaka is injured, Van der Vaart is on his way out, and I think Pedro Leon can play instead of Alonso/Khedira if a more offensive option is needed.

I'm not talking about the Kaka transfer or last year, it was the 2/3 years before that. There was also the whole FIFA fiasco where Real had to be warned by FIFA and then there was AS photoshopping Kaka holding the Real jersey with Real refusing to say they weren't interested or had nothing to do with the AS article.

Edit - is everyone sure VDV is leaving? He's played in almost every friendly - he even scored last night!

I think Real will keep him until mid season to see how Kaka's condition turns out to be. He is proven with Real unlike Canales and Ozil.

Pedro Leon and Granero are supposed to fight with Ronaldo and Di Maria for the wing slots. The midfield is well covered with Gago,Lass, and Diarra. I think Lass is ahead of Khedira in terms of picking order unless he starts playing RB.

If Di María is a star i'm Chuck Norris.

You might pull some dictionary-definition and prove to be right. However i'll back up this use of "star", as you can't argue Di Maria wasn't among the 3 hottest prospects from last year. I personally haven't been baffled by him [in all fairness - i haven't seen him much either] but every report says everyone should want this guy. So...

Fernando Gago, Van der Vaart , Lassana Diarra & Mahamadou Diarra are getting the walking papers ? Poor Lassana Mourinho won`t let you hide lol

I'd pull Lassana out of the list. I think Mourinho will not let him go as he can cover the RB position in desperate cases.

Drenthe was linked to Benfica today so it might happen.

Drenthe wasn't given a real chance though. He barely played last year. Real just like to change players.
