PES 2019 Discussion Thread (PS4, XB1)

Will be good to see what the patch does tmw. Gotta go to sleep now.
Is the version 3 OF from pesuniverse out for bronze? Was that the patch where Buli stets had a priority?

Honestly have been replaying PES 2017 with Nesa's gameplay patch I am enjoying it way more than PES 2019 and all of it is because of the CPU. In PES 2017, I can hammer teams like Cardiff City 4-0 and get beaten by Man City 3-1 which I don't get on PES 2019. Every team plays unique and AI is the best. Also in PES 2017, the CPU dribbles past you and good dribblers are hard to stop. In the new patch, I want to see the AI variation in attacking based on team styles and players like Hazard, Salah, Neymar, etc trying to dribble you when CPU controlled.

update your pes 2019

Game feels and plays nicer now, they (IMO) actually achieved around 80% to 90% what they claimed.
I wish someday they lower crowd counts, playing 2 Thai teams friendly game should not attract 69 thousands people!

As expected, PEA League has been removed. Those teams are now in the Other Asia section.

My impression about the update is very positive one! (vs CPU, professional, exhibition, speed 0, and PA1)
Gameplay feels "fresher" than before, somehow flow of the game is "nicer" and more natural. (Animations seem smoother?)
Good players are showing skills and tricks much more than before, good players seems more energetic and forward-going. Players like Salah, Fermino, Aubameyag are more running for chances and scoring opportunities, AI when trailing behind seems to press more on the human player. AI makes uses more long passes and tends to use more crosses from wings (still uses short low crosses from time to time, depending on who is in the box). Headers slightly more effective.
AI keepers (and yours) seem to be more alert and "mobile" in penalty area, Leno rushed almost to the edge of the area when I was rushing toward the goal before Arsenal defender catched up with my forward.
As expected 2 low value leagues added (with my respect to my Chinese and Thai friends), best teams are 3 start ones with majority of 1 star teams. Something I give Konami credit for is they tried hard in representing Thai and Chinese player physics this time, most of their players and thin build as in real life (I was expecting generic pregnant women thighs in all players). I would have liked them much more adding Japanese, Korean, Iraqi or Saudi leagues instead of Chinese or Thai leagues.
Just my 2 cents and initial impression, game is much better now no doubt!

First thoughts on the patch: Game is more balanced. I'm liking it.
Still noticing too many over-accurate first touch passes by the AI on Superstar.
And I think game has been sped up a little bit. Players react quicker but they are also quicker all around. Might be me though.

Animations are smoother that's why IMO

Could you guys confirm whether you can play Thai League?
It doesn't work on my side in Offline league mod or League Master :0)...........

I think it's not playable XD..................

Just updated quickly to look for updated brazilian squads, was disappointed... Perhaps it will be updated in the Live update since the servers were down.

Gabigol was in Santos at least! I know most people don't care about this but I have a love for using the Brazilian teams online. ;)

Had one 8 minute half top player. Manual passing advanced everything else . Man u (me) v Chelsea.
Game feels far more balanced and controlled. Had 3 free kicks in first 10 minutes on the clock. I was actually trying to win then. Ai seemed tougher to beat certainly down the lines, managed two crosses that lakarku headed and keeper caught both attempts.
Then tried to let the AI attack to look at a pattern. Went out wide near half way line ( oh oh) then through ball through to morata..35 yard from goal..shrugs off my defender sprints through on goal and tidy finish..nice one

Lets make something clear here. I think we will all agree that we DONT want low crosses or wide AI attacks gone completely. As long as they make sense and dont happen all the time. We want AI to look for opportunities. And if someone is opening himself to wing attacks he should be punished. We just dont want AI to go to the wing when we have it covered and it makes more sense to go centre or shoot from distance. Right?
So... if you see Low Cross... dont panic. Its still part of football... ;)

Snow
Yet again another half-assed inclusion from 'Conami' - the Snow is just a wet pitch (plays identically to rain) with a snow falling overlay graphic. which is very poor and doesn't even look like snow.
Wheres the snow on the pitch, wheres the sliding and ball physics, wheres the default orange ball ?
And again, the PC community have released a proper snow patch with snow on the pitch, etc and it looks amazing, yet once again Conami are too lazy to implement it properly.

How it SHOULD look.

This is the point where I have to disagree.
But then it´s a matter of taste, I guess.

Kudos to the modmaker, no doubt.
But personally I think, KONAMI did the right thing about snow.
Snow outside of the pitch is fine for me along with the snowflakes, the warm dressed crowd, the breath and gloves of the players. That´s enough immersion for me for a winter game.
Again, no disrespect to the modmaker, but it looks like a ice hockey pitch and it´s too much.

I believe in a grass-heating system :P

But hey, each to their own.

Now, I´m gonna try the patch^^.

I agree. Even pre-patch the CPU tried to go by through balls on center strikers if you consequently cover your wings. The major problem (which is hopefully fixed now) is/was that the AI refused to shoot on promising situations in or around the box.
