Just out of interest how many people here play on Superstar? I have been, and like I've said in another thread, I don't know why. I never, ever play other games on their hardest difficulty. I'd never even consider playing Gears of War on Insane, one-shot kill difficulty yet I somehow get sucked into PES on it's toughest level.
Never again though. It cheats, and it decides the outcome of your game for you. In my ML I don't really feel in control of my game. I won 12 of my first 14 league games in ML, then all of a sudden for four games in a row the CPU comes out like it's on crack, sprinting everywhere, barging you off the ball, swarming you with multiple players all over the park, then hitting robotic ping pong passes and scoring off one shot at goal. Suddenly that's 4 losses in a row. I then play the league leaders, in a promotion six-pointer, and it feels like it's gone somehow back to normal again. I thump the league leaders 4-1.
Next match, to a team way down the league, at home, with all my players on red and yellow arrows for a change, and the CPU comes out like a robot again. I'm 2-0 down in half an hour and again I witness the most bullshit goals.
I just wish the CPU on Superstar could actually manufacture itself a goal that isn't questionable. They seem to always come from shitty deflections, moments of bizarre Messi-like dribbling out of nowhere and with a lowly rated player, or, more commonly, it benefits from the controls conveniently going completely wrong.
Take this game for example. Again, I was through on goal early on, with an 81-rated striker, on a yellow arrow. bearing down on goal, I press shoot. The power bar charges. Then for no reason nothing happens. The power bar stays on screen, like it's jammed or something, and I no longer have control over him because the input of the command seems to have failed and left him in some kind of in-between stasis. So, with the power bar charged, he doesn't kick the ball, and he carries on jogging until the keeper dives at his feet. Brilliant.
Moments later, the CPU knocks a long ball 50 yards. It wins the knock down, as it always magically manages to do. It falls for another striker. He hits a shot that is going wide, cannons off the face of my CB, which then hits the backside of my other CB, which then directs straight into the net. My keeper, for some reason, just stands still and watches it roll into the net.
Then, a short while later, the CPU crosses the ball, it wins the header, which hits the post. The CPU attacker then gets up super fast and heads straight for the ball, and knocks it unopposed into the empty net. Why? Because my CB, Garay, rated at nearly 80, an Argentina international, who is also on a yellow form arrow, thinks rather than following up the rebound, he'll just go for a nice stroll in the opposite direction.

Here, the CPU is clearly cheating. There is no issue with player ability, or player form. It's just the CPU deciding to 'shuffle' an obstacle out of the way so it can easily score.
This sort of shit goes on all the time on Superstar and I've had enough. It's a broken, cheating mess. And that's not even beginning on the issues and bugs present in ML this year.
