Gabriel Heinze finally arrives at Old Trafford this week ready to start repaying Manchester United for their huge investment and strained patience. The Argentina defender has picked up nearly £500,000 in wages since signing from Paris St. Germain in a £6.9million deal in early June - despite not training or kicking a ball in anger for his new club yet. "I can't wait to play for United," says Heinze. "I am going to show I can shine in the Premiership."

"He looks an exciting prospect. The goal he scored for the reserves; the defenders didn't know what to do - he teased them in and finished it like Ole Solskjaer.
"You expected him to cross and he fired it in off the post. It wasn't a bad strike for his supposedly weaker right foot."
