Manchester United Thread

Yes Bradley you are right.
Everton are clearly better than us. Everton will finish higher than us and we will get relegated and our club will go the same way as Sheffield Wednesday. Lee Carsley is clearly better than Paul Scholes.
You are definetly right. I agree 100%.

just to clarify things. i didn't make those quotes.

it was bradley. the quote thing messed my reply up.
dont worry mate, we all know bradley likes to post rubish :)

does the truth hurt?

and i know its early but has anyone cared to check the league table lately.
i believe everton are a whole 2 points ahead of you lot. and rooney hasn't played yet.

a sign of things to come?

lol the goons have spent best part of a decade playing second fiddle to us, a couple of decent seasons and all of a sudden you get dudes like this...

Dont get me wrong I do appreciate the style of football they play but again they've only been playing that way for a few seasons, basically they've got along way to go to match us.....

So dont get too carried away, along way to go yet and we've taken our trophy back every time you've borrowed it for a year ;)

anyway, back to united. why is there an 11 day break between our two league games?

yea mustve slipped my mind. i was merely trying to get this thread back on track. soz

MUTV shows every reserve match live and delayed coverage of all prem and champs league games

Gabriel Heinze has expressed that, right now,it will be hard for him to get in the first team, let alone the first XI.He's afraid that he might get the cold shoulder treatment.I have to say that,by his statement in saying that he will say no to argentina, will get him into hot soup.I mean, thats not the way to please your new employers innit? He should be given a chance to proove himself and I'm sure he will.He will form a formidable partnership with Rio in the middle with G.Nev and Mikael as fullbacks.Whatcu guys think?

Nah he will probably play as left back!

thank god anything to get rid of John O'shea dont stick up fro him because hes a man utd ;player hes poor every game

I still will stick to Heinze as a centreback cos I cant see him dribbling his way down the left flank and delivering those killer crosses.Silvestre can certainly do that as he has shown us over the years and when Becks was still here,Mikael was second best in long range passing IMHO.From what I see in the Copa America and the Olympics,Heinze would definitely be a stone in the middle of defence.

good news :D keane has recovered from rib injury. So by the time we play Liverpool, United team will have keane, rio, rooney and heinze all back ready to play.

thats great news. hes an irreplaceable asset in the midfield; its especially good that we get him back by this fixture because the pressure at OT will get unbelievably high as rooney could very well make his debut, and also due to a date with bitter rivals like liverpool is never easy

on a rather bittersweet note: European Championship and Olympic star Cristiano Ronaldo was diagnosed with a hernia injury earlier this week. Manchester United desperately tried to push Portugal national manager Luiz Felipe Scolari to send the youngster back to Manchester which would have basically ruled him out of the World Cup qualifier against Latvia. However, against his club's wishes, the 19-year-old pushed on and played an important role in Portugal's 2-0 victory over Euro2004 surprise country. Scoring a goal and adding an assist to his credit for the night, the hernia problem didn't seem to be a issue.

Manchester United have continued their plea to have their winger back before Portugal's second match of the week on Wednesday, when they host Estonia.

sigh, Man Utd and national team managers never fit too well...they always push our players especially when we desperatly need them or they have slight chances of being injured...

funny, this haven't happened much in the past...has it???

yep especially now when ronaldo needs a rest after euro 2004,then olympics and then striaght back into premiership action and now world cup qualifiers all while carrying groin injury

Im angry that the portuguese coach doesnt realise that the young lad needs a rest. All this non-stop playing time for ronaldo cant be good for United in the long run.

only bright side to it is that we get to see a lot more of the yougsters play. bellion on the wing has looked promising, lets see what SAF does

Mr Walkabout wanders back
Gabriel Heinze finally arrives at Old Trafford this week ready to start repaying Manchester United for their huge investment and strained patience. The Argentina defender has picked up nearly £500,000 in wages since signing from Paris St. Germain in a £6.9million deal in early June - despite not training or kicking a ball in anger for his new club yet. "I can't wait to play for United," says Heinze. "I am going to show I can shine in the Premiership."
Richard Tanner, Daily Express

Does this fella knows the meaning of rest? He's like a pocket dynamite,I really hope he will shine for us.

Side news, talk of talented teenagers at Old Trafford at the moment rarely takes a side-step from the names Rooney and Ronaldo.Another R,is waiting on the wings to break into the team.At 17 yrs old,Guiseppe Rossi has been quietly enhancing his reputation as a potential star of the future. Three goals in two Under 18 matches and a fantastic individual effort for the Reserves have really caught the Gaffer's eye.

And observers of United's junior and reserve ranks are starting to take notice: "He is a box of tricks, a real bundle of energy," said former United player Arthur Albiston.

"He doesn't look the tallest player, but he has a low centre of gravity and great control with both feet.

"When you have that low centre of gravity, you can get away from people quite quickly.

"He looks an exciting prospect. The goal he scored for the reserves; the defenders didn't know what to do - he teased them in and finished it like Ole Solskjaer.

"You expected him to cross and he fired it in off the post. It wasn't a bad strike for his supposedly weaker right foot."

Read on here.

Gary Neville's injury also looked bad. Just when you think we're going to have our full team fit soon, things like this happen.

:x

G.Nev injured himself too?? Damn, but its not as bad cause we have lots of covers in the defence department.Jonny Spector can always be slotted at rightback while Fortune can cover the leftback position, plus we got Heinze back. Its the striking department thats giving us problems now.

Yeah.

Out of all the England players that could of got injured last night, it HAD to be the only United player. :l

We need to play Bellion up front more often. Smith has problems on his own cuz Scholes is always dropping back. Bellion will HAVE to play up front now that Saha is gone again.

well, if Heinze can play, then i don't see much wrong...just play him...well, maybe a little bit and sub him off (again, the little rest makes a lot of difference)

and Ronaldo...is he fine?? man, I HATE INJURIES!!! this has got to be the worst start of the season in Man Utd History!!!
