Liverpool Thread

With all these new signings, it'll be hard for him to get a game, loan maybe better for Liverpool but would he accept it? He's 21 and should be playing hard for his future.

Shelvey was a decent player, and if he can cut down on his crazy tackling he can become a really good player. Deserves a first team place in a premier league team, so good move for him.
 
What s about this crazy tackling everyone is talking about ? Yes, he made some bad tackles but he was no butcher. He is a creative player, with a lot of vision and passing. I would say his main weakness right now is his finishing. For 6M and english, Swansea got themselves a steal.

Come on gerd... he's young and has a lot of potential, there's so many other players who have been a lot lot worse, some with a much higher profile too.

His one red card was a joke, never a sending off. he was booked 6 times, the same amount as Jordan Henderson.

You must know that i tend to exagerate when i don't like a player...i just don't like him as a player (could be a nice person however). Is this unjust ? Yes it is, but it's only football.

Part of it is the fact that i do love Swansea, i like their playing style and i don't like Shelvey's. IMO he doesn't suit Swansea's style. But it wouldn't be the first time i would be completely wrong....


PS: now we know who could be the transfer of the season....

Well he's certainly not this great passing creative player you've been saying he is. If he is, I haven't seen it. Wasn't fussed on him at all to be honest. Decent at best. May turn into a much better player but who knows???

Although i'm not a Chelsea fan, i really like them a lot. I hope this is not true...i don't want a person like Suarez to play for a club i like as much...
 
Suarez to Chelsea is likely bullocks, but I'd still take that + Torres back, right away.

Not as a straight swap obviously.

No way Torres it's gone he's spent , we don't need him , I would take Lukaku +£25 mil

German sky report that Mkhitaryan has agree a deal with Dortmund , their agent seems to be on Donetsk to have a deal with shaktar

Thats it so, liverpool are no longer a big club. He was the one player that could have made the difference this new season. Always knew he would pick dortmund, klopp is no fool

If you believe reports (and you do because you think he is off to Dortmund) then he pretty much pushed his move here and the reality is that we didnt want to splash those 30M E his club was asking, but Dortmund does.

He's worth 30mil so it shows liverpools lack of ambition that they wont go the extra 5mil to sign him. He'll be a star in the bundesliga if the move goes through. I blame the owners for not backing brendan with proper transfer funds

The owners would have willingly backed him, at least that's the feeling I get, just BR decided the player wasn't worth the valuation.

Looks like its a 21.5 pounds transfer whats that 25 mil euro? Thats 12 mil cheaper than mario gotze and id say they are at the same level
