Erm, not sure about that mate. Don't know if you use to follow Chelsea but Torres seems to be back (apart from that OT miss and today's horrendous tackle). The Spaniard is playing at great level currently and has emerged as a prominent Chelsea player. IMO it was just matter of time to bounce back and he's proving it, he is a lot more confident now and that is reflecting on his game.

i mean looking on personal stats..time on pitch vs. scored goals or assists..

maybe Torres might look better on pitch and be more usefull for the team, but again.. we can´t compare this players 100%..

Torres was used mostly in all matches and he played much more time to score the 3 goals than Carroll for Liverpool..

anyway i´m fed up to explaining my point of view on this matter.. hope we sell him, sack Kenny, burn down Anfield and make a new stadium with our future poor China owners together with Everton, a blue red one :D

This!There is no way in hell you can compare buying world class players for the price they are and a half a season,beer chuggin donkey,u-21(they are bollocks anyways,even the senior team is so..)player.Andy Caroll will never ever ever even be a tenth of a player Torres or Aguero is.

He has a point. I will stop about Caroll, so i'm not without blame.
Generally fans have not enough patience in this thread. This will be a transitional season. I als o have the feeling some players don't get a fair chance (Caroll, Henderson).
have a litle patience: a hug club like Liverpool always re-emerges on the top. Also stop comparing yourself with Man Utd. At the moment they are out of reach, but they should not be your aim this season.

One more thing about Caroll (and this time more positive): it's not his fault that Liverpool payed 35 million for him. If he would have cost 10 million there would be much less talk about him (including me)...so that's unfair.

are you serious? why do you quote only one thing and not my whole post.. we did buy him, but becouse we got the money from Torres, and becouse we were out of main CF in few hours to end of transfer window, with no CL football in next season and with the team in middle of table if i remember good, or even less than middle of table...

no wonder DagsJT left ... :BRICK:

Not yet mate, wedding is next week.

I'm still around and reading posts in here, just can't be bothered going around in circles having the same discussions with the same people who refuse to change their opinion or, you know, support the players and team.

I'm still optimistic about the season, still think we'll get 4th, expect Carroll and Henderson to improve (although both have been disappointing but if every player was wrote off so soon after transfers, football would be a very different sport), still trust Kenny and the owners, still Dre.

Supporters. Some people need to read the definition of the word.

Our midfield simply isn't good enough. We were lucky in the first couple weeks of the season to play teams that weren't settled/ missing players. Now that we've had some real chances, we've conceded more shots than I've ever seen.

At this rate De Gea will have faced more shots in 8 more matches than VDS did the whole of last season.

And you guys are built to beat us, and to be fair often do despite gaps in the table.

Though if Carragher decides to inflict grievous bodily harm and gets away with another yellow, I may just give up ;)

as much as i would love to agree with you,i cant.fair enough that your midfield is not good enough.what does that make our midfield?we play with just two midfielders(lucas,downing as fatty and hendo are on the field only for a fuckin picnic).if we play with stevie,lucas,maxi,downing yeah i think we could beat you.i honestly think if we play with that setup and kuyt floating round suarez,we'll do you.but unfortunately i think we'll have ,lost 5/6 games come crimbo including the sickening defeat to you lot.and im being very optimistic....

Oh gosh and you call yourself a sober football person? Get real. N'gog's much better than Donkey? Carroll has a lot of time to prove himself to us that he'll be better. You only brand somebody on what he did in the past without giving him a chance of fixing those weaknesses. And I believe KK when he said he has no problem with Donkey's lifestyle.

So why Ngog didnt have it ? Everytime he played in the past, he showed there is a lot of potential in him. He was starting show that in the last season of Rafa and during the awful months of Hodgson he was one of the only good things.
Yet he was never given a chance by "the expert of giving chance to youngsters, the guy that was taking us away from mediocre style of play to an offensive passing type of football".
No, he decided to buy a donkey just for 6 months of heading goals in a team that played for him. Even going to the casino and beting 35M to the red would haven been a more rational idea ...
