Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

If Rafa had his way then we'd have signed the likes of Alves and Simao years ago as well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

No doubt Keane was a pawn in the political battle at the club.

I really like him, and do feel sorry for him. Hope he bangs them in for Spurs.

The thing with this is, we're now going to stick to the 4-2-3-1, which is our best system anyways. Not to worried about Torres is getting injured. The law of averages clearly indicates that he won't. Even if he does, we still have Babel, who if I remember correctly, played really well in that position at Stamford Bridge.

Re: Liverpool Thread

 In the end Keane has been used as a pawn by the club and treated like crap, I wonder if he still is a Liverpool fan after all this?
Considering his contract and new signing on bonuses/parts of the transfer fee etc I don't think it comes into it, unlike us!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Nothing provocative or anything, but I'm just interested in the statistic of how many players have been sent off this season as a direct result of a foul on Xabi Alonso?

I think it's about 5 now, isn't it?!

Yep, its coz he dwells on the ball but is always in full control of it.

With at least 1 each from the other 3 teams of the 'Big Four'

Re: Liverpool Thread

Didnt Scholes bitchslap Alonso the other season as well?
The funny thing with Scholes was that he was trying to show his frustration at the ref, he wasn't trying to hit Alonso, although he was millimetres away from doing so... :P

Looks like a Rafa solidarity thing. Rafa's famous pose v Chelsea CL Semi in 07

Or a...I'm staying for life.

Or just a sporadic celebration...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Really how Bosingwa got away with what he did astounds me!! - How after seeing a video of it, can you say he doesn't deserve anything?!! Its basically assault - he just wanted to get the player with studs in his back, obviously not going for the ball!

The FA are extremely fucked in the head!

Re: Liverpool Thread

+2

There is an odd logic, or lack of, that they use. "The linesman saw it and it was "dealt with" on the pitch", so they can't do anything. Yet by the same logic they then can't do anything about Lampard's red card. Yet they will......or Evra's ban for the cooling down nonsense at Stamford Bridge.

It's born out of a mistaken position to not undermine the referee's by taking/makin decisions after the game......but they do that anyway. Honestly, who makes the rules and who is so thick to follow them the way they do, clueless.

Although I think doing the "Bosingwa" should be allowed for players wasting time at the cornerflag. Will soon put a stop to it! :D

Re: Liverpool Thread

Haha, in that gif, I like how Drogba is just standing there and then Benny scoots back to push him. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Sack Lucas.

And why is Torres still on the pitch? He's clearly carrying a knock of some sort! If he gets seriously injured because Rafa has been too stubborn to leave him on, I'll be seriously be pissed off.

Get Babel on. Everton will be sending everyone forward with them having the extra player, and Babel can stretch them and burn them with his pace.
