Formula1

Well firstly I congratulate Sebastian Vettel on the first victory this season, had an excellent race in general well done. Well, I especially want to congratulate the team of Reno, and more precisely Vitaly Petrov, who for the first time in his career podium winners of Formula 1, brought his team as much as 15 points! This is a great result for Petrov, since it is only the second season for him in "the royal stable". Hopefully, now that Robert Kubica recover and return in Formula 1, these two great racers will always qualify for the highest places. In the previous season, Kubica is almost always superior to Petrov in the classification, and in the race, but now it will be interesting to watch their opposition if Petrov will stay in a great shape. Guide Reno certainly very pleased that it is not broke up with Petrov, now they have two great drivers, which in no way be inferior to one another. But the co-pilot, replacing Kubica showed only 14 results and failed to score points, but I hope that in the next few races he tighten and will be able to enter the top ten, gaining some points, because the potential of this racer is sure. By the way, I noticed that at the moment in Reno Petrov became Kubica last season and Heidfeld became Petrov start of the previous season, as Petrov is just beginning here with such results as 18 and 14 seats. In conclusion, I can say that it is very pleased with the Mexican race car driver, the rookie in Formula 1, Sergio Perez. Only just come into the formula, he immediately took 7 th place, this is a very outstanding result for the novice. Well let's see, maybe it's a future world star racing. :D

Yes, Perez and Petrow were the most impressive drivers this race for me, I always said Petrow will go his way in Formula 1 as he isn't just talented, but also in a very good car and hopefully Renault will become even faster. Nick had a bad weekend with the under average qualifying, but he will become faster on tracks like Sepang and Shanghai.

Apart from these two drivers Seb pulled off a great show again, there wasn't just one moment where another driver was just as fast as he was, the move against Button showed how powerful the new RB is and even Lewis had no chance to get anywhere near him.

Edit: Just read that Sauber(aka drivers Perez and Kobayashi) were disqualified for using "wrong" rear wings. So Di Resta and Sutil will get their points. Sad, as both Sauber pilots drove very well and so their points(which were together probably the best result since ages) will go to Force India.

I'm glad that our friend Petrov get the podium. I hope he continues strong and agressive especially with Alonso over again.

By the way, it's a good time to Sebastians:
- Ogier wins Vodafone Rali de Portugal
- Loeb leader of the WRC
- Vettel current F1 World Champion and winner of the Australian Gran Prix

Recorded this to watch this afternoon, as I wanted a nice lie in. First thing I did when waking up is go to a news site, and what's plastered over the home page?

ARrrrrggh, I'm such an idiot

So, after all, Petrov sessions at my gym were key to his 3rd position. I wonder why he didn't mention me to the press. After all, I was the guy that beated him at the running machine and at racquet tennis (some sort of squash) one month ago. Yes, we didn't talk barely at all, but surely he should have had a detail. Mmmmmf, you help them climb to the top, and when they reach it, they just don't care about you. Stars....

On a serious note, Vettel was great, Hamilton was better than expected, Petrov was inmense and Alonso was good recovering those positions. Let's hope the Red Bull aren't as superior as is seems right now and we have a tense and fun season like last one.

Because of that:

@Aboutreika18/KERS: I wonder how many teams do have problems with this technique. RB weren't the only team with problems, Mercedes also had no running system even if they use the same one as Force India, where it did run properly. I cannot follow these "experts", as this was one of two major changes for this season, so what did they all do during the winter? Just building a changeable rear wing?

Hey, Special_One, you really choose very wrongly the things you're fan of: Real Madrid, The Knicks, Mercedes Benz... Jesus, at least tell me you don't like Whoopi Goldberg! :COAT:

PS: I will pray for a win for The Knicks, that's all I can do for you!

For God sake! Whoopi Golberg no way! I'm Spike Lee all the way! (kidding)

What can I do? Whole my childhood watching my dad in a Mercedes, the first car I ever drove and the first car I had an accident lol so Mercedes is in my blood. :P

Oh yeah you gotta be praying all the night coz tonight is surely another loss.

By the way, Petrov will miss you and your gym sessions.

Bravo Vettel, two races - two wins! Well done! Very sorry of Petrov, since there were only four laps to go, but nothing I hope the next race he was rehabilitated and again bring his team points. I note that his descent looked pretty funny. :D And of course I congratulate Nick on his first podium in Formula, keep it up! Btw, for the Renault is the second podium in a row! :P

After another quite awesome race of Vettel in Malaysia we will see the third pole position in the third race for him this year in China. Again with 0.7 seconds of "freedom" until the two McLaren come in on second and third place.

Lets wait what tomorrow will bring as Vettel will probably not be able to use his KERS system (again) as RB are still having problem with it. And the McLaren are always one of the two fastest cars on the gird, which will make it hard to stay in front of them on the two long straights.

Me, too, especially because it showed everyone how entertaining F1 can be in this times(even without many crashes and accidents). The best team won and Webber's hunt was just fantastic, two more rounds and he would have been on position two as Vettel's tyres were passing away.

Right now I am looking forward to the race in Istanbul, which will bring us a new battle between RB and McLaren, with better positions for McLaren in my opinion, as they are faster on circuits like Shanghai or the track in Turkey. If RB manages to get their KERS-system working they may have a better position, but right now it seems to be a close race.

And here we are: Istanbul, maybe for the last time as the Turkish Grand Prix organisation do not want to pay the high prices for the F1 next year again, as they were nearly doubled by Ecclestone and the guys around him.

For today's race I expect a tight race with a fight between RB(Seb on Pole again -which makes it 4 poles in 4 races- and Webber with a good pace), the McLaren(always a tough opponent on fast tracks like Istanbul) and -suprise- Mercedes GP after showing some good results in the last days at the circuit. And hopefully the Renault can win some points again, they aren't that far behind the top teams and showed their ability to beat these teams often enough.

Yea, this seems to be an interesting race. I'm looking forward to see how good the Mercedes are in race after good practices.

Well, Mercedes wasn't that fast. And because Schumacher acted as dumb as in 1997 in Jerez he lost all chances to win points. The same goes for Hamilton losing the chance in the box because of his mechanics.

Red Bull was dominating and it is just correct and "fair" they won today, barely no one excluding Alonso could follow any of these two(maybe Hamilton would have had a chance).

Apart from this and from today I am quite surprised how less accidents/crashes and technical defects we had in this season so far. Seems the teams learned something and built more stable cars while driving more carefully.:TU:

Sad to see a great champion struggling so.

Mercedes need to translate qualifying pace to race pace. Vettel is nailed on for his second world title.

Shame the rest of the field like Renault, Force India, Williams for example are still not there along with Sauber & Toro Rosso.

Lotus making decent progress but Hispania and Virgin still not making any impression despite their upgrades.

Hopefully the pack closes up over the season as it is still not that exciting.

Poor Williams saddled with Cosworth engines.

Is it just me or have they gone a bit far with all the aids for more overtaking now.
The marbles from the tyres that degrade so fast it's going to mean 4 stops every race, are just insane the off line is black.
And the DRS and KERS mean whoever is coming past can now do so with the other guy having no chance to fight it most of the time. I know everyone wanted more overtaking but I just think this makes it all seem a tad false!...

It was farcical at times. Oh for the time when it was mainly about the driver. Fuel them up and let them go.

I wonder how Vettel great as he is would do say in the Lotus.

Damon Hill used to ramble round though getting his Brabham round the circuits and elevated to Williams suddenly picked up a World title.

Vettel was not flying, he was just defending well enough to keep Lewis behind him. And that is what gave him his victory in the end.

About DRS: DRS couldn't work that well in Barcelona, because the first corner(aka the end of the DRS zone) is being driven quite fast. DRS does just have any influence, if the zone ends in a very slow corner as seen in Sepang, Shanghai or Istanbul. If the first corner is a bit faster, as seen in Melbourne, DRS will not help that much. This results in just a few overtakes comparing to the other races, but there were some overtakes with DRS in use.

anyone noticed that today was the first time this season that the safty car went out ?

The season is pretty boring for me... Vettel doing what he should with his super car and the rest trying not to beat him but not to get lapped.... boring... I hope RedBulls form goes down honestly...
