Reports say he opened his left eye today and could see well. He also spoke in 3 languages with people visiting him. Now I'm more confident in a full recovery.

Would like to see it. Obviously not under these circumstances but if he can race for the sake of Massa and give him(Massa) the winnings and sponsorship rights and the huge media investment for the rest of the year it would be a great touch.

Certainly not a full return as my memory of my hero would deminish, but for the rest of the year..It can only cement his legend status. If he does not do so well he can say he was only helping out under the circumstances.

What does this mean for the drivers?

I'm presuming that the new teams already have drivers in place...
 
Wow, the next race is four weeks away so at least he has time to prepare.

Luca Badoer is test driver and has never really shown any promise and is getting on now. A Italian who is test driver for Ferarri for a few years now will just be happy to be there.

But how could they not ask Schummi? Any team out there would sell their soul to have him.

more so if he actually threatened finish 2nd or 3rd in championship
