[if you are looking for a copy of FIFA to play you are correct - your preorder satisfies this need.
But you wrote you are looking for real innovation - your preordering does not satisfy this need and detracts from the necessity to innovate]

Set Version 1 Beta: "V1B"

√ Right, I've had a lot of time with the game, and it's no surprise a set has already come out. I feel this is a solid base to work with. For those who are history buffs, you may recognize most values derive from our FIFA 16 OS Sliders final set. Anyone who loves FIFA knows that FIFA 16 is one of the best versions of the game, so it is always a good sign that values from that game are being applied here.

Here is the set, with my explanation:

FIFA 19 OS Sliders - Set V1B
Difficulty: Pro, World Class, Legendary, Ultimate
Time: 10 minute halves
Speed: Slow
Controls: Semi

►Sprint Speed: 51/50
- Giving the user a small advantage so they are not chased down due to catch up bug constantly.

►Acceleration: 50/50; Legendary/Ultimate use 50/49
- Found that in order to compete on Legendary and Ultimate team, that the CPU's acceleration just had to be lowered. Too much cheating and it wasn't very realistic to play where the CPU wins every loose ball, every pass and scores at will. Still a good challenge here.

►Shot Error: 51/51
- Raised just slightly because too many shots on frame, resulting in upwards to 10+ saves a match. Good variety in shots as well.

►Pass Error: 55/55
- Raised this one up to create a sense of hesitation with the ball, but also freeing it up as much as possible, especially under pressure.

►Shot Speed: 48/48
- Lowered this value because the shots were way too powerful on default. It'd be one thing if it were a powerful shot, but the keeper also doesn't look quite right in their saves when this happens. At 48, they still shoot with venom, and adjustments to the goalkeeper are made to accommodate this change.

►Pass Speed: 46/46
- Always a big one, but this time it serves the purpose of purely passing speed. At driven pass speed, the ball looks to be fine, but with the adjustments to FT control, this driven pass will not be the only way the CPU has to attack you.

►Injury Frequency: 70/70
- Just a bump of significance to see if we get more injuries during the game. Would be nice if it were this easy :) .

►Injury Severity: 60/60
- Same as Injury frequency, some depth the CM would be added when star players get injured.

►GK Ability: 48/48
- As mentioned above, this adjustment helps the 48 shot speed look more realistic, and the keeper can still make some blinding saves.

►Marking: 40/40
- Very important that we loosened up the players from their magnetic fields. With the marking at 40, this will now allow the formation, tactics and instructions to take place.

►Run Frequency: 1/1
- Always a value that we say we aren't going to drop, but each time it is just a core issue of the game itself where it is acceptable to bombard players forward.

►Height: 65/60
- Discrepancy like we did in FIFA 16, this allowed there to be more of a midfield pushed into the opponent's attack as a result.

►Length: 45/50
- This further enhanced the length of the pitch to be compressed as both teams' defensive line served as the outer walls. Midfield is back with this set up.

►Width: 52/52
- Adjusting for the width that gets lessened as length is increased.

►FB Positioning: 100/100
- This helps with transition plays, and also allows the FB to get as far as possible to the endlines.

►FT Control: 65/65
- There needs to be a sense of fighting for the ball, not every touch is going to be perfect. Not every trap should be perfect.​

Just watching the Fulham v Watford game. I've got to admit, what I see as excessive tiki-taka and fast pace (which I've "fixed" with sliders)... This match looks like a game of default FIFA 19. Including the little deflections from players bunching together so often (constantly pressing).

Really impressed, the more current-season matches I watch. Hats off to them.

i think konami have to step it up extremely hard next year, i think forget there so called 3 yr plan it has to be cut down to 2, seems like EA have made significant improvements this year to entice the old pes heads to give it a proper go, the spaghetti legs which is one of my biggest hates in this game, seems like judging from the videos they are still there but looks like there has been a significant improvement this year in that department, but everything can turn to shit with this game when they start patching every 3 weeks, looking forward to more of your videos, good stuff
 
As demo thread is closed....fired up demo today and hated it.
I know it's due to no sliders and normal game speed. Deleted it again.
The player models are so shit it's unreal. Some real horrible animations in there as well.
I hoping that's due to demo being so old.
The videos I've seen of full game are much more encouraging

The retail game is better thant the demo.
Game on slow is perfect, better physics, IA plays better

The demo is better than PES so if the full game is better then it's a no brainer.

Sliders will be a joy. Animations are out of this world
 
i just cant stand the player movement, its like they float on the pitch and the running style just doesnt look natural at all, is it smoother in final version or the same? I'm not buying both games this year and i'm convinced PES will sort out the issues with the AI and i much prefer the movement on PES to FIFA. I just know FIFA will deliver a good package
 
The FIFA player movement looks and feels better when you play the game than it does in videos. PES does feel slightly better but FIFA still feels good to me. The key is not to vacillate between the two games then you're not always thinking, "I like this FIFA game for so many reasons but the player movement isn't as good as it is in PES." Other than the player movement and feel, PES doesn't really offer much anyway. Nothing to keep you coming back for more.
 
Yeah and I'm not convinced they will fix it given they have still not even acknowledged it with the AI. Konami have previous for leaving there game in a broken state

FIFA feels free and fluid to me whereas PES is stiff, unresponsive and bizarre at times. It looks good but it doesn't plau half as good as it looks. FIFA at times can look cartoonish unless it's the scanned players but the game itself is the best it's been in years. They have tons of modes and features and unreal customisation to cater to everyone's needs for offline play.

I feel like I am trying to like PES but with FIFA I don't have to try it's just a solid football game.
 
Beginning to feel that the game is very alike to FIFA 18.

Playing with Parma and World Class is starting to get easy.. But the problem is that the AI is playing a lot tiki taka at higher levels I think..

FIFA will deliver a good package but nothing to keep you hooked - At least for me anyway. I have given the demo a few more tries and it is just stale and the passing really is poor. As it hardly ever leaves the ground it travels like it is on an ice rink. There is no way getting from it when it is an essential part of the game.

There's no evidence that this is true .They've never fixed anything in PES over the last few years.
 
without going off topic because the AI was better last year and in 17 so shouldn't be too hard to adjust, just my opinion. And if i was a betting man PES will get better by XMAS and FIFA worse if it follows the same cycle as 17 (which i hated from the off) and 18 ( which i loved until xmas)

Same ol', same ol', players skating everywhere, starting to feel like this is an reskinned NHL game, absolutely laughable.

Player models aren't great, that's for sure. With that said, I'll take some wonky animations in spots/bad player models over a shit tier offline experience any day of the week. Also, the ball size has been increased for the full game. Keep up. :SMUG:

The nice thing about the demo is that it gets me to experiment with 18 - and 18 is pretty decent - i think there's a lot to explore - both in terms of learning controls, then tactics, then sliders.

If F19 is not going to fulfil me with online matchmaking, then why should I be so keen to get F19? that is the question.
