FIFA 15 News & Discussion Thread

Let's talk about visuals:

Graphics wise the game is awsome on PC (and I guess on next gen consoles aswell)
lightings are great, blur effect during replays is well "exploited" so I will focus on the few bad sides

1) even though visuals are very good, aliasing is massively present on the edge of players (start a replay and zoom in over their faces)

2) players proportions are so unrealistic...I really wonder how a so big company as EA can have so incompetent designers for human bodies...I am a drawer and I noticed that there are essentially two kind of body shapes in game a) slim bodies b) robust bodies (Lambret from Liverpool)..that's all..there is not any other intermediary typology. All the players are the same, there are not differences on legs lenght, or dock/shoulders width ; arms lenght or size and same issue for head and chest...Unfortunately this lack of shape edit has not been compensated with many default body typologies...as I told you there are just two (slim and strong)..the result of this? well the result is kinda ridicolous...if you watch closely a small player as Insigne next to a tall one as Ibrahimovic even a kid can notice there is something wrong..."A small player is not a shrunken tall one".That issue is really a pity because the lighting, the textures and all the rest is well done.

3) nets are too heavy...when you score you have not got the feeling to "inflate it"

4) snow textures are so "low res"

1) Why bother doing that? It's not the gameplay camera I use. So basically this doesn't bother me one bit.

2) While in gameplay camera, they are fine so again, not even worth worrying about.

3) I've never cared about nets so another point that I couldn't really care less about.

4) It's not often I've played on snow but on the demo it looked ok to me.

Basically, I use the default camera and it looks great to me. I'm busy playing the game and not zooming right in on replays and worrying about the stuff you are. It seems silly to me. If you'd rather zoom in and worry about some of this stuff than actually playing the game then crack on but I'll just get on with it and get my virtual men passing the ball and and shooting at a normal camera distance.

Since playing FIFA 14 (PS4) for me, as I like it to play the game slow I suggest for the true fans that want a lower tempo type simulation game to adjust the sliders of "sprint speed" down to 20. It works fine with the demo of FIFA 15 as well. Also the game should be set in slow

What pressure buttons? Are there pressure buttons on tactical defense now?

There's contain and call for 2nd defender. Same as the last few years. Nothing has changed as far as I'm concerned and I certainly won't change to legacy. I can't as I only play online but wouldn't anyway. It's pointless as far as I'm concerned. A step backwards and like I've said before, I prefer having more input into games nowadays. If I get turned inside then at least it's me being skinned. It's like pressing accelerate in a driving game and letting the computer steer for you. Having assists on in FIFA is boring.

I use dynamic zoomed completely out. Enables you te see the intricate details and makes dribbling with just a change of direction do able whislt also seeing enough around you. And the radar for long passes.

Tried broadcast cam a few times myself. I want it to work, but I just can't get used to it. Shame though..

I always use the pressure button, as the CPU is so fooking dumb.. I use it so the computer goes to tackle the player and I can track the man making the run, if I didn't the Lob Through ball kids would score all the time.

But against the CPU if you use the pressure button and gang rape players the CPU doesn't know what to do with the ball 99% of the time and will just run into you. Doing this in the final third allows multiple one on ones..

Have you tried Dynamic zoomed in? I know it cuts a lot of the pitch out and means you can't cater for long passes or where your team mates are, but it's great for showcasing goals and skills.

I'm using a dynamic max zoomed in camera since FIFA 1998 and I can't imagine playing with different cam settings.

Just 1 of my 10 FIFA mates could play on dynamic zoomed in :SMUG: Does anybody know how to use the radar? The most helpful thing in football games but still a lot of people are horribly ignoring it. I love all the details of pitch, shoes, players, ball. However, in this year (hopefully only in the demo), dynamic camera max in is not that close as it was in previous titles.

PES 6 "Close" camera with max settings in was just AWESOME.

Yes, as far as i remember there´s only the contain buttos, they are not a pressure button like the legacy defense. The contain button don´t try to steal the ball, right?

Again, when you say pressure button are you using tactical defense or legacy defense? Using tactical defense i think there are no pressure button, only contain button (X) and the square to try to steal the ball.

I agree with Fitiello. Player models sucks. The problem is that i can't recognize easily which player i handle from wide camera. Every player looks the same.

This and dribbling is my main concerns for FIFA 15.
