Its brilliant using Matic and Toure, just running into people knocking them off the ball

Forgot to mention in my initial impressions how good the shirt pulling looks!!

Sometimes it looks really sly because the player with the ball is in between the ref and defending player and they are tugging on the bottom of their shirt

The keepers are so broken anything that rolls towards them they spill or let go through them in some weird animation.
I shot from halfway on 90 mins it bounced and rolled towards keeper the AI keeper freaked out and it bounced off a leg and almost rolled slowly in the goal lol a defender saved the day

Finally managed to play some matches.

Feels good, as stated, on pro players like iniesta, coutinho just seem to be able to keep the ball and dictate play....henderson not so much. Also the movement feel honest, a lot like 09 imo, the last fifa that felt solid when moving players, if somewhat clunky. AI has inertia so just a switch of direction is enough to create space, which is how it should be.

As I havent played 14 for months it felt reasonbly nateral and balanced to me.

Will be getting it, although how much i'll be playing with a newborn remains to be seen....with a bit of luck I might be able to finish a whole season before 16 is released!

As stated before the keepers have been fixed for release. I don't have a link to the article but read it a couple of weeks ago.Just hope the article was true

Using close controll with players like Messi is great.

You can make him dribble tight spaces, he makes very Little Nice touchs pushing the ball with the outside of the foot, superb animations that really mimicks the way he dribbles, and pushing to the left is mostly the right way like it should be.

Everything changed for me after I started playing on professional level (manual pass). I'm starting to get addicted to the demo.

Only thing that can not keep the game fresh is the lack of different team Play style imo.

Indeed. Is there anyone here whos playing on the highest levels (worldclass/professional) and not having a problem to defend ?

For me personaly, CPU is very artificial, the way it plays doesn't reflect players atributes, it's "bullshit"

I am downloading it again cause I want to give it another try, but this time at pro level and manual passing, it may ne more balanced and realistic.

Depends on what you mean by not having a problem. Yesterday afternoon I played half a dozen matches on Legendary. I conceded 4 to Man City, but after that I think I only conceded 2 goals and had several clean sheets. (Unfortunately, though I had no problems scoring in NG 14, I'm struggling to come to grips with attacking in 15, so I lost/drew all my matches but one.)

FIFA is now designed to reward patient, cautious defending. Use the tactical defending system as intended, and it works, mostly. The problem is that it's kind of an artificial, gamey solution that was introduced to solve the problems of homing missile defenders and imbalances in ball possession with the CPU, which used to always be massively in favor of the user. It's a less than ideal, band-aid solution, replacing what should have been a properly implemented movement and tackling system, plus AI improvements so that the CPU properly understands how and when to retain possession.

The current system doesn't feel natural imo; it feels forced. But I think it does work if you learn how to properly use the system.

(If you're liking the game on Pro but struggling to defend on the higher difficulty settings, it's because you're too slow with your decision making and reactions. If you want, you can do what I do when I'm struggling and play on the higher difficulty levels but use the sliders to slow down the CPU's movement as you learn and improve. This way you get the best out of the AI decision making, which presents the best challenge at the higher levels.)

Mine s coming in March so hopefully my season will be done by the time that destroyer sees the light of day.

Enjoy the free time you have! Ours is a month old now and I have hardly had any time to do anything else between the baby, household chores and work....literally about 3 to 4 hours! But it's fun!

Maybe it's just my limited few matches but it seems that manual controls really are manual again? My passing has been extremely inaccurate in the demo.

There's a number of features that don't seem quite right in this demo which if I remember correctly was present in previous demos but then fixed/refined for the full release.

Protect the ball also doesn't seem to be working quite as well as in NG 14. Contain is even more useless than before. First touch and passing has some glitchy moments.

I'd put money on some of the issues popping up in here simply being down to it being the demo.

(Also, is it new that Pro Passing now affects both normal passing and through balls? I thought it only affected normal passes in the past?)

My little boy is 10 months old and the situation is much the same. At least once they sleep through the night you may find some time to game in the late evenings.

Yes mate, i will be playing it on manual/slow. Add me on your PSN to play some games: Honome_US

Add me too. PSN: mfmaxpower.

I'm pretty much always playing CM but usually down for a manual match. Since I'm really only used to playing the CPU, I'll probably be an easy win!

zeemeister1 as well only I use legacy defending

Can you do that v Friends online? I know you can't in seasons.
Personally, I want to avoid players who use that defence type like the plague. Each to their own bit it's not for me. In this day and age, the more manual input by me and my opponent, the better.

I'm the only one who think the legendary difficulty is very good this year?

Maybe with pass error 53 & shot error 52. For CPU only.

Just realised how few offsides there are this year. I think I've just had my first offside call since the demo came out.

You can't trust the demo's difficulty levels. Go back to the demo last year and we were saying how wonderful Legendary was and then when the full release came out we were getting annihilated by WC.

I'm seeing quite a lot. I've seen at least half a dozen goals called back because of offsides alone.

I didn't realise the Goal Decision System was in. Just had a great example in my Chelsea v Man City clash. Another neat touch. Am I right in saying that it only applies as part of the Premiership deal as I have not seen it otherwise?

Love this demo so far...
