eFootball PES 2020 Discussion Thread (PC)

not sure if it was mentioned already, but PC demo got updated today.
Steam downloaded new PES2020.exe file, with timestamp of Aug.2, 2019. Original was from July 30, 2019. And the exes are different). Keep that in mind, if you suddenly see changes in gameplay ...

I have input lag but offline, it's not normal online lag.

What can i do to improve it?

Switching between Ps4 and Pc demo it's immediately noticeable how much less responsive pc demo is.

I use a DS4 with Steam configuration.

New Konami's Demo patch updated the dt18_all.cpk too. From the first releas of 80kb to the new one of 191Kb.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, something changed.

Okay guys, I think they have patched the gameplay and added script back in it!
You score a goal, AI scores immediately after, just like in 2019...

That's one thing I've noticed as 'gameplay change'

The only thing i noticed is the high level of speed. It was so nice as it was!

Yeah true speed has gone up, but I've had two games in a row with the AI score a goal immediately after I did. A bit of worrying signs, game was indeed almost perfect the way it was

Are you using ANY mods (other than match duration?).
If you are, try disabling all of them. And play again.

I've noticed the game felt lighter and sped-up when using mods.

It doesn't let me go beyond 100% though, so I don't think upscaling is possible...
Unless this only happens to me?.
Up-scaling is not possible unfortunately - 100% is the highest setting.

Re: the update talk, there are no changes to the gameplay, impossible that they've changed something at this point - they need ages for the simplest of fixes like the disconnection problem.

I don't use any mods, other than the match duration, but felt more scripted on superstar than yesterday, so I went back to top player, less scripted so far. I also changed the game speed to -1 to make it slower

Yeah, game is the same.

They released the patch just to fix Pc disconnection issues.

But yeah, thinking of an actual football simulator is both naive and impossible. I'd just rather some real life factors were more important to them when implementing certain mechanics into the game.
They should always throw this question around between themselves: Could this happen in real life? What could potentially be the possible outcomes if this player tried to do this? A)Bad scenario. B)Average. C)Good.

That would fix a lot of the current issues with PES since... well, forever.
Agreed, but I do believe it’s worth remembering that no everyone wants PES to be more of a ‘simulator’ per se anyway.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I want an over the top arcade like game :D but what’s the point in playing a football video game if you can’t enjoy some of the most extravagant things that happen? Like crazy volleys, skills etc?

We’d all play it on manual if ‘realism’ was more important than fun.

I just Finnish my first online game... FINALLY. Was not great but was a full match ... playing 1 LVL passing support online vs cunt who plays with full passing assistance in the free demo, friendly with zero points coins or ratings, searching for sweaty goals is a nightmare. His passes are always correct! If not so, my players will NOT or react badly just pass TO BE correct, and on another side, my passes were all over the place I don't know why most of the times, even where there is have it NO point pass to be that bad or incorrect

Still, I don't get it, what is deal with defenders, most of the players just turning around watching the ball and do not react or make effort to TAKE or kick the ball, it's so annoying.

Pass canceling with super cancel, is not working every time, looks like a bug for me. It's canceling in the first place then its continuing pass with half-ass animation. Sometimes work sometimes not.

Another evening of playing. This game is master piece of ART. Its like winning 3 times in a row CL by Madrid, like Zidane goal vs Leverkusen, like winning derby vs Barca. It is amazing

I'd personally gladly play something way, waay more simulative than the games in existence now. The only barrier for me would probably be time, as playing games of 90 plus minutes would be both unpractical and terribly tedious. But for the rest, I rarely if ever use skills and I find more interesting the recreation of something that feels like the more usual things we see in football.. the physical battles, the tactical side, the randomness, the difference in quality among the players.. and so on.

Just my humble view tho, I understand a 100% sim isn't realistic (at least for now), I'd just be glad in having some simulative elements, along with the lighter ones, better represented.

Besides, if Pes 2020 will respect the expectations of the demo I'm pretty sold for a good time anyway :D .

I somehow managed to improve input lag by using triple buffering.

EDIT:Actually i read that triple buffering add latency, weird.

I completely fixed input lag with adaptive vsync but now there is a bit of tearing when the game runs at lower than 60 fps. Not a big deal, it doesn't happen too much to be annoying. Anyway it's incredible to me Pes pc doesn't have the option to toggle vsync on or off, you have to use nvidia control panel.
