eFootball (All Platforms)

From what i understand, all these shenanigans is caused by one man, kimura. If its true that the inital direction of pes was hijacked by him midway, that he proposed this crossplatform thing, he has to go. He is destroying pes.

The shenanigans are caused by Konami higher ups. The PES team probably had the best intentions and circumstances caused this debacle. They’re not the people allocating budgets and timeframes. Konami is just a scummy, poorly run company that treats employees and consumers with little respect. And I know what I’m talking about.

Will they update the tactical instructions to make them more depth !

At least for the ML
I'm personally baffled by anybody willing to get ML dlc and give them money, and more importantly, your precious time on this earth.
And that's taking into consideration you really like playing this game lol.

As a horrific live service model, the best case scenario is it'll be, as history shows, worse than the previous year (which is embarrassingly awful). In an online focused game the AI (on & off the pitch) will be atrocious because of constant neglect. A glorified, braindead exhibition mode if lucky, with lots & lots of crappy cutscenes .

My guess is though, their dev 'road map' has already been scrapped. To properly fit the shite they've just released, all their goals will be short term focused as they make up their useless updates on the fly.

Konami don't respect consumers enough to turn this into a No Man's Sky.

Wonder if we can go back in time back in 2007 (last days in PS2 Era) to ask any of us what would PES be like in 2022?? or even 2020??
I mean come on, the point PES shined is that it used to give you every year what you want AND MORE!
From 2008 and on every year we lose something, back in PS2 era - that old rusted piece of hardware!! - we could select the referee, play as penguins or dinosaurs, own 40+ in game stadiums with the ability to view them alone in a separate viewer in all weather conditions, ability to change overall kit or single parts of it pre-match! where're these beautiful opening game movies? game plan had some complicated tactics in its time without ruining the simplicity of the game to new players! also you could have accurate player names and data in the time FIFA lazy developers would add 1000 team with rosters full of player names like: No.1, No 22 ... etc! .. I can go on forever counting missing elements from PS2 days!

Before PS3 era, I remember PES/WE used to push every console beyond its limits in terms of graphics, content and gameplay .. miss those days!

As for the bolded part, back then I thought the PS360 version was going to be this unbelievably ultra realistic looking football that I couldn't wait to play. Let alone 2021..

Instead it's 2021 and we get

The saddest part is that back then people didn't even know how badly they could mess up the gameplay. A Pro Evo being released with bad gameplay and ridiculous scripting was the furthest thing from people's minds. You can still pick up the PS2 games and have an enjoyable sessions of football gaming. Hell, I've been playing ISS Pro Evo 2 on the PS1 and it's still fantastic. They didn't use buzzwords like 'Player ID', but just pick Ronaldo in the game and see how different he is from other players. PES 2 introduced player-specific animations for Beckham during free-kicks when most people didn't even conceive that it was possible.

As badly as Konami has mismanaged their franchises, PES has caught the brunt of it. Went from being an annual high quality sports game (hard to do) to a laughing stock.

I think that now the possibilities of defending are more varied than in previous PES games. I like the combination of match-up, tackle, sliding tackle and Physical defending buttons.

we had that on 2014 already, and probably needed one button less for it (2x for tackle)
useless new introductions for the sake of it, changes habit of muscle memory for little or no benefit, poor game design

Pre ordered. Cant wait for the real release of the advanced version with fixed controls and collision system.
Just... wow...
The game is free and you have pre ordered something that you cant use till November anyways..
You could easily wait till November and check if this pile of crap improved (which is highly unlikely) and then maybe give them money. Its not like the packs will be gone by then, since its all digital.
The more posts like this I see - the more I think - you deserve everything that they did to this franchise.

If they couldn't release a decent game after 2 years of development what makes you think its going to be much better in 2 months?

Exactly. This pile of turd is unfixable. MY ONLY HOPE is that they didn't cancel Masuda's next-gen PES, and that eFootball is just a placeholder this year while he gets a premium version of PES out next year. eFootball can live on as a free-to-play between mobile/PC/console etc, but there would be another premium game for next-gen consoles and PC.

So what's everyone doing? Continue with pes 2021 with a newer OF, Fifa 22 or forgetting about playing football games altogether?
First the first time in a long time, this year's Fifa seems pretty decent. The goalkeepers can actually make near post saves. They aren't as stupid like they were in F20 and F21. It's good, but gameplay wise, it's not superior to PES 2021. Career mode is fun and music is good. Speaking of music, I thought the music in efootball was ok. That's the only nice thing I'll say about it.

That being said, you need to modify the sliders in Fifa 22 to have a slower pace match that resembles an actual sim that you can enjoy. The default settings suck ass.

And of course, a modded PES 2021. I'm not touching efootball ever again until they release a proper next-gen version of the game that's playable for PC and consoles. None of this imported mobile crap.

I don't see all this bad thing they're talking about. There are a lot of comments like ''Maria goes with the others'', the person is already conditioned to detonate. I continue to play and continue to see the potential for this shit to be superior to all versions of the fox engine. Right now we have a Goku base there, after training and fighting he became SSJ. There is a base there to be worked, refined and improved so that one day it will also become SSJ, once this is done, all PES FOX is already gone, it will be surpassed.

The question for me is whether Konami is willing to use this potential and/or when. E It has to for yesterday, If still want to have some of fans back.

Im sure anyone noticed this, i saw AI hiding their hand behind the back. I mean, what's the point adding those if the game itself dont include handball system, lol.

This has been happening since 2013 at least. Just for cosmetic purposes.

I played a few matches last night but online. When you take it for what it is as simply a basic game based on football rather than a football game, playing against other humans can be quite a thrilling experience.

However even online this is virtually unplayable. Nothing has been learned, no experience or knowledge from how to modernise & speed up the match making has been gained over the years.

The game plan screen is needlessly laggy because they insist on having that resource hogging warm up cutscenes running in the background which is totally unnecessary for fuck sake.

Bad enough on the PS2 FIFA's where you couldbt do shit in the pause menu because the game had to run highlights and play music while the PS2 was crippling itself to provide eye candy.

Is it ? Atleast in fox engine Im sure it dont include this kind of animation though and i already played good enough hours.

Better than having handballs with no calls or clipping. Looks decent tbh.
Lol yeah, with all the stupidity in efootball, i'll admit i like when AI actually do dribbling, not like having 1-2 second passes.

I wish Messi and Ronaldo would sue for defamation 😂

And you're right, I still enjoy PES6... I enjoyed PES2009 & 2010 then basically stopped. Not sure how people enjoyed 2011/2013, remember trying 2012 and it felt so dreary every stadium looked and felt the same, that ugly dull lighting and gameplay also felt lifeless. Just small things like when a player is through on goal and the open the body up to slot it into the corner, the animation in the old PES games up until PES2010 were so good they'd really open up and put some effort into it and in 2011 onwards it looked so shitty just some weak shot and weird leg movement.

Very bad.
