eFootball (All Platforms)

So what's everyone doing? Continue with pes 2021 with a newer OF, Fifa 22 or forgetting about playing football games altogether?
PES 2021 on full manual. Recently took the plunge and went from lowest passing support to full manual and advanced through balls so now everything is set to manual. The game is totally different and like a new game with the freedom it allows you and the CPU. You can kind of feel what e$hitball was aiming for was this freedom but all they had to do was make the settings manual not cross PES with Rocket League! Btw, apparently the new FIFA patches from EA for FIFA 22 have already started screwing things up for some people.

Hey, talk to me in another tone. I done much more than you know from the community, a little respect isn't too much to ask.

He said it, perhaps they decided to put his name as a director. Perhaps on others version.

But it was the thruth that his main job was BALL PHYSICS. I also considered him as the Director at the time.
From i don't know which version. He denied that he worked on something else that ball physics for 100% sure.
Do some homework before writing nonsense, it's not hard.

Also lol at 'give me respect' coming from someone that essentially minimized Seabass's role in the franchise as the 'ball physics guy', because that's what some translated interview said.

Just checked on PESMaster, they decreased practically all player by 5 points (well i think it more a percentage but well). The range is way lower for many stats. High speed is very rare, you can consider a 83 on speed stats as fast, and a 75 as good.
Or it's just that even stats are all messed up, but if it's the same for every player, it's not an issue.
But there's very different standards than on every other PES. For example, you can check : there was a limitation for 80kg player : he couldn't be under 70 in first old Balance > transformed in Physical contact before PES 2017 (don't remember exactly), and Header couldn't be under 70 for a 191cm player (range was 70 to 99 / Then 70 to 96 since they introduced featured players)

Well, now that PES got different standard, i can unveil some stuff i knowed, standards rules, "B" thing and Header was discover by myself. Physical contact from a data editor ;)

Now about positions standards : "B" was introduced firstly for Fluid Formation. Sorry if it's big, it's a copy paste :
2. POSITIONS RULES STANDARDS
There's some rules to know about Registred position (REGISTRED Only!).
Example : If a player got "X" registred position, he will get a B automatically on "X"
So it's quite simple a player is registred from the position mentionned, he will autmatically gets "B" on X other positions
CF > SS "B"
SS > AMF "B" & CF "B"
RWF > RMF "B"
LWF > LMF "B"
AMF > SS "B" & CMF "B"
LMF > LWF "B"
RMF > RWF "B"
CMF > AMF & DMF "B"
DMF > CMF "B"
LB > LMF "B"
RB > RMF "B"
No "B" position for CB and GK

Pretty simple, i gived it to many editor not on my team but they didn't carried that much. But it's pretty important, weight is related to P.Contact in physic for example. If a 80 kg got less then 70, he will fall all the time... There's others rules btw, like "Low Lofted pass" can't be under 60... But well, it so logic that i don't even have to put it here.

Now, Rank limitations. That's how it worked: Konami imposed to their Data Editor a range, it's simple. Then after, they revised some stats in intern.
Guys doing J-League for example are the good old ones who were doing stats until PES 2014. I can tell you by experience, they were very precise even for youth coming from Universities who didn't played a single game about their representation. Well enough talk, here's the ranges:
NOTE: there's no "A" range for Data editor. Konami where doing players like Maradona or Zidane who reached 95 and 96 for example.

Well that's enough. You can verify yourself by setting "80 kg" or "90kg" or 191cm and check limitations of minimum and maximum on Pesdb (you can also add a column since not so long time on Pesmaster too). It's not dreamed, invented, that's PES standards from before Efootball.

Ranks was important to me, as it's a bit linked with market value including age, highest market value, and on which league level he played, nationality too. If you see some 77 players on a NT with full of 74 max : check the injury : there's a lot of players who aren't selected as they always got a problem. Also, of course, the potential... But it was simple to guess : a good youth with high potential got a more or less higher than average market value. Also a player with many injuries got his market value toned down and not a bit. So there's several stuff to take in account to create a player set.
Now this is interesting. That’s the guys doing J-League now? They did everything up until 2014? How do you think they judge these attributes? Do they look at statistics over long time? Or go by impressions? This always fascinated me.

Also, weird thing on PES 13: it seems that all the strikers exist on another scale from other players. Say, a good midfielder has 79 ovr, a striker of similar rating in other games has something like 70 in PES 13. It’s weird, maybe it balances the game or something.

I noticed a massive decrease in stats for that new “game” on pesmaster you spoke of. But the midfielders don’t seem to be decreased, at least not as much. But GK are decreased most severely. Strange. But this time the decrease could be because they want players to have room to grow in online gambling modes.

Hey guys, the only facts in what I wrote on Twitter are based on the following:

- About the same time last year, Masuda was the boss, Kimura was not.

- Masuda gave an interview to a Russian outlet saying that the new engine (Unreal) was being used to develop the game ONLY for PS5 and XBSX (unclear if PC was included, but it was later speculated that it was), and that PS4 and old Xbox would stay on Fox Engine 'forever'.

- Then over the past year, the leadership changed to Kimura, and Cross-platform became the focus, with the 'next-gen' only version scrapped.

- Masuda was no longer on the team, other sources said he was shifted to Europe but that's not so relevant anyway.

- The part of it based on mobile stems from just how feature-stripped Kimura's version is, but yes it's speculation and 'just my two cents' as mentioned in my Twitter. @Durandil67 says he'll talk more about that so I'd wait for him to tell us what he learned from the game files.

What am I playing these days?

Well, what I want to do is go back to playing PES 2021 on FUMA Legend. But whenever I have free time, I find myself playing eFootball, not because I want to. The game is horrible. The tactics are non existent. The off ball player movement belongs to Atari. The responsiveness feels like I'm communicating with a player in Antarctica on a modem connection. Shooting and passing and any ball interaction is nowhwre as nuanced as any PES/WE game. But I'm playing it because of the new controls I want to get used to (not much really, hold down L2+Pass the whole time), hoping that there is a better game deep inside. I haven't lost a single online game since the game came out. I'm winning easily and it doesn't feel good at all. By January, if the game hasn't changed much, I'll switch back to PES2021 FUMA Legend.

Vialli, I understand this reply of yours is in response to someone calling you a liar. However, please can you be less aggressive in your own general tone, as a lot of what you are saying can't be backed up by research. What you are saying may be true, but from what I can see (correct me if I'm wrong), official sources state a different case to the one you know because of your "behind the scenes" knowledge (which we have no means of verifying).

Why would you invest time in a game you don’t enjoy, that you don’t want to actually play……on the basis there might be a deep game inside?
It’s like punching smoke!

Yes he was director, but not "director producer" on every game : https://www.mobygames.com/developer/sheet/view/developerId,173383/
He was "Total Producer" for PES 5 and 6.

There could be multiple producers for one game, but one director.
Well i just repeat what i learned he was very focus on PRINCIPALLY, is that too hard to understand or. And go elsewhere if you want to talk like i don't know what, with "your do homework" please + "nonsense."
Learn to talk politely, there was another way to say it, without being cocky.
It's just a reminding of what i know fro Wearepes community. Very linked with Konami Europe at the time. I don't remember if it was an ITW from PES 3 but it was clearly the time where WEarepes released tons of info and itw.

You have no idea how much i've did for the community or my C.V. regarding PES as an editor, how much i worked on the game for people playing and for free. And how much i know stuff regarding stats and structure. Way less in terms of graphical but more in terms of database since a long time.
And you coming out of nowhere and gives lessons. Same as the Helio8 guy from i don't know where he came neither.

Did i do something bad here? Just saw how much people talking bad. It wasn't like this before, we talked and respected each other and corrected someone if he was wrong without any mocking. Never.

I don't feel that i'm aggressive at all. Sorry mate. It's probably a lost of translation thing. It's just that i posted a lot, that all.
I'm searching but i don't found where i'm "agressive". I talk french in english translated, that's probably the reason.
Just give me an example, no problem i will agree.
If i'm too much here, i can quit, i won't say "no problem" as it's make me sad, but no remorse.

Edit : I wanted to deliver a work that i'm workin on it since 2-3 month (without counting the 8 months before), for helping people who don't like FIFA 22 and want to stick to PES 2021 or even convert it to an older version, but whatever. I don't say it to stay at all. Just that i'm just not analysing or doing cricics, but producing stuffs too.

For the almost 6th time i said it : he never directed PES.
His job was to focus on ball physics. It's the most known guy from PES as at the time, the most impressive stuff was ball physics.
And he helped a lot. But there's wasn't any boss, or it was someone else. I said it clearly.
No need to search an example @Chris Davies

That was agressive i admit. Sorry to that guy. But the overall tone is a bit agressive those last day. Admit it.
And pretty annoying overall to read people insulting all guys who said good things about the efootball game. Took like fool.
Leave them a bit.

But for the FIFA thread i don't have any remorse. I just talked about my feelings and everyone falled on me. But it's old members so it's not a problem i suppose. And accumulation too of talking to me in a tone not really respectfull, overally. Just because i didn't liked it.

Mmm maybe I didn't put it correctly. There's no better game deep inside. This game is shallow AF. I just don't want to forget the controls so IF in the future by January the game plays much better (doubtful), I don't have to relearn anything. I have no doubt I can go back to PES2021 anytime without issues from a control standpoint.

But yes, off ball player movement is so hopeless I don't see a future for eFootball.

Guys, why are we arguing on here? At this point, I don't think it really matters who was head of what in the past. We know Konami lost the plot after PES6/WE7i/PES2007 (and even PES 6 was a step down in a few areas to PES 5/WE9LE) and instead of yearly improvements, it's been up and down ever since. What matters NOW is where this franchise goes or if it is truly dead. Personally, I'm delighted they didn't put the PES name to this, I'd rather remember 2021 as the last PES game if it has to be that way.

Divided, we're not going to achieve much. Some of our extreme disappointment comes across as anger and we can't believe where we're at. Even a small improvement on 2021 would have been excellent. Heck, even updated rosters, licenses and graphics would have made me happy.

Let's stick together and not argue because we do all literally want the same thing - a great footy game which is flexible enough for us to change the in-game settings where it appeals to everybody's playing style. We need to go full-out sith and channel our anger into pushing Konami to do better. Kissing their asses and giving them 'another chance' year after year hasn't done anything so it's either time for them to shit or get off the pot.

Kissing their asses and giving them 'another chance' year after year hasn't done anything so it's either time for them to shit or get off the pot.
My problem with this is that they already have. They told us they were making a F2P game. They made a game based on a mobile port. @The_Knight has demonstrated brilliantly some of the areas that have been dumbed down (i.e. ball physics) - a necessary step when you're developing a multi-platform codebase where one of the platforms is literally a phone.

Still, we had to give them a chance, for some reason. We waited to play it "just in-case". We played NFG. It was dreadful. AND YET WE STILL give them a chance. What the hell?

There is no "shit or get off the pot". This proves it fairly comprehensively. There will always be plenty of people who have total faith and will always see a worthy positive, in a broken, fairly unplayable game.

They even told us we're not their "new" audience. We are struggling to "stay together" because so many of us just don't understand why anyone would continue to support a developer who treats us like this*.

We have "given them a chance" so many times that we are just being taken for fools at this point. We even bought that "Season Update" to support this eFootball trash, under false pretences.

*I understand - and am glad - some people see something in the game and still have hope. But I'm glad for them, and pretty sad for us. Because those few will continue to play what is, to a large number of us, a generally piss-poor game - and we will all either be forced to play it because of how terrible "the other game" is, or we will be stuck on PES 5 forever. Which is no bad thing, but for God's sake, look at the tech we have. Look at the potential we have. And it's absolutely pointless.

EDIT: When F2P was announced, a lot of people made the same analogy - it was almost a relief, seeing your friend who's been on life support for the last few years finally reaching "the end" and achieving peace. For themselves, but also for you. So you could move on.

What's happened since then, from my point of view, is that some people have said it's "fake news". They've pulled this friend's corpse out of the morgue and dragged it onto a football pitch, where the disbelieving public have taken photos of it, uploaded it to Twitter and now seemingly half the world is laughing at how crazy it is.

You're sat at home getting over this loss, and suddenly you're dragged back to the mourning stage because some people are convinced there's still a heartbeat. And then you realise... It's going to be like this forever.

That's what i was working on, pretty hard. I edited my post above, it's on the last paragraph.
But i lost a bit of envy you know. After being trow like a trash after a work from august 2020 to july 2021, and how i my work was litterally trow at the trash practically (released the 5 july, send on PESuniverse 10 days before)
And the year from PES 2020 : i worked 4 months non stop during the lockdown to deliver the most up to date version of PES 2020 practically (Colombian liga updated, MLS and Libertadores) who was unrealeased by the "boss" Barry because "start june was too late" he didn't told me directly, i felt a bit like a shit.

I know you need good editor for, but you have to check 10 years in the past. I'm from that gen so.... But due to some issue there, i lost the envy. And if i stop, i would have lost 3 months of work. It's on PS4 btw, but i explained above, it can be modded in all way i don't care, stats and correction was the thing i wanted to do. And just in one league (liga aguila) you already got 350 errors. More than 700 on Nations and i'm not done yet.
But if people said "go elsewhere with your PES 2021 it's a shit" (well except here everyone i talked said it was a very good game), well i lost a lot of courage to finish it. And you don't really know my personnal life but i'm not at all at my best, thanks that some editing keeps me alive.

What you are saying may be true, but from what I can see (correct me if I'm wrong), official sources state a different case to the one you know because of your "behind the scenes" knowledge (which we have no means of verifying).
Sorry i forgot that part. Yes i was behind the scene. I'm Sensei-Vialli from twitter, was linked with Pesuni as the main editor for 2 years, and we were two.
One was focused on stats especially.

Now i said it: the stats you see in Serie A and B, he's the boss and have the last word. So it's not a "nobody" at all. Above Barry and the rest about what's happen in intern. But i learned stuffs from both. And yes, as an editor, you're not a Youtuber, you're working "behind the scene". But everything you saw and Bundes you or someone else used from various teams was mine and the other italian guy for example.

Aswell as MLS or J-League and some took my Libertadores teams too. I got no problem with it : if i joined that team, is for having less work. Result : there was anyone skilled enough to create a team. Paul (if you remember his OF on PS3) completely lost it, he don't care now, 4 teams on +- 105 to create and that's all and around 127 if i remember on PES 2021.

The hell, not as much editor. And i finally terminated alone the very last version that no one carried at the launch : they already wanted transfers it was only the 12 or 14 july. Tons of teams to recreate, we got help from various editor but it didn't fitted to my standard at all (too strong or too week, no face remade etc.)

Sorry for the extra-editing explanation, but yes, it affected me, as i was very involved on it, and still continue (at a slower rythm)
So being called a liar when i was so much involved and knowed stuff i couldn't say about some DLC release date etc. or worst, a Konami defender even if i didn't even tried Efootbol... I just relay what i've known in intern, and didn't say more than that.
Now, i prefers to leave you alone a bit. I posted too much. Gifs are better (well 1 on 5 makes me smile to be honest but some post are funny without gif)
