eFootball (All Platforms)

Ok let me write down my impressions
First of all I download pes 22 in both version pc and PS4.
I play about a dozen games in my laptop ( HP omen 16 gb rtx 2060 ).
First sock …..the game is in 720p only 1600x900 ?!?!?!? ?!
Second sock ,.,…..????? Only 5 mins games and in two levels medium and veteran .
No rain no snow nothing . Come again !?!?!?! Only 5 mins games .
Now on the field .
Ok two years preparation for what ? The animation in 90% is the same .
the faces ? Ok let’s go on .
The game speed ? Even in -2 was not much off difference.
The worst here is that I do not know why is a player attitude called speed in that game .
It seems that all the players run with the same velocity .
A small difference in acceleration is present.
Players response ? Well yes is good is nice but for me it was hard to steal easy to loose .
The keepers ? Ohhh the keepers . Is so difficult to ask even from an amateur gaol keeper to create some good potitioning and animation all this years ? I believe is in the same level as pes 21at the best case .
the best thing was the ball physics . Yes is nice to pass nice to shoot and better to cross . For me . Perhaps not for everyone. The crowd ? In deluxe level good sound but graphics terrible at least .
at the and I believe that it is a very poor effort from Konami . The main target for me is the mobile phone players .
Every one has a smart phone . Few own ps4 even fewer ps5 etc etc.
sow I believe that is a downgraded game in compared with last year’s game who was actually the last year before game .
Konami say to as to give a change in this new effort. Ok . But were is the cheese to bite ?
I believe that Konami open the field for fifa new customers . Is this a year to try FIFA ?!? Let’s blame konami for that . Their choice.

Just gave it a go. I couldn't get through the first half. It was a painful experience. I had a little hope when I saw the initial cut scenes but then the game actually started and it took a trip back in time to about 2005. It's an absolute joke of a game. There's barely any features in it as things stand so how they got the essentials so badly wrong is anyones guess. I can't believe they thought it would be a good idea to even release it.

Having spent a substantial amount of time with FIFA and then Efootball, I would like to note some things.

FIFA is still FIFA for better or worse, it is slightly slower than last year but still does not come near to recreating the 'feel' of football like Pro Evo has done in the past few years. It exhibits strange glitches and AI behaviour, shooting is overpowered from distance and angles. I can list so many problems here but there is no point because no matter its faults, this time around FIFA when compared to eFootball, it is like a masterpiece.

eFootball immediately offends by offering only a 5 minute match for local exhibition matches, this solidifies my thoughts that this 'release' should be considered nothing more than a demo with a larger selection of teams and some online functionality and modes. The game is not done, it lacks fundamental mechanics all Pro Evo players have utilised over the years.

Teammate pressure is non existent, the tactical options are ripped out, the menu colour scheme offends, the team management screen is archaic, menus in general are horrible and slow. Gameplay suffers from poor AI positioning and coverage, weak passing power boggles the mind, shooting feels off as well, it hurts to play this game. You are struggling to wrestle control away from the AI decision making within the code.

Through balls are so overpowered and nearly impossible to intercept unless you pack the midfield.
Players constantly fail to track runners, the ball or generally cover areas of potential danger. There is a noticible delay from when you take control of a player and when they start sprinting in the right direction and speed, especially when defending space. Flicking the right stick to change player feel very unreliable now as well.

Graphically it is underwhelming to a high degree. Nothing much to add here, just watch some footage of it.

Playing online, the connection is quite good, barely any lag but the gameplay issues are just so in your face you can not be left anything but stunned at the incomptence on display.

This release feels like a Demo/Alpha they released to combat the release of FIFA, with more substantial updates planned in the coming months it seems like the only likely scenario considering how bad it plays when compared to PES2021 (which is a wonderful game in my estimation).

There are some positives here in terms of gameplay but there is no point in listing them when they are covered in a sea of mud.

Last paragraph really sums it up.

I do wonder how much the gaming media will pick up on whats truly shaping up to be a disastrous launch (shock). I think this game being F2P would save Konami from the serious backlash but for two points:
  1. PES, while not as much of a juggernaght as FIFA, is still a household name in the sports gaming world
  2. They've already charged people £30 for pre-orders, with incentives that don't even drop for another two months
For the bulk of last generation Konami seemed to get a pass from the media, I imagine due to the product at least appearing complete and being a game that journalists and reviewers could pick up and enjoy for at least a few games before issues start to set in.

What Konami have just dropped is arguably some of the lowest standard of content I've ever seen from them. I really don't think it will go under the radar this time. Will be interesting to see how their marketing team handles the next few days, I suspect there won't be able to do their usual disappearing act.

Spoony is losing is his shit with how bad this is. He claims that he played a “better version” at Konami.
this is all pre-prepared rubbish.

playtesters played 'newer code'

they will trash what exists and insist we wait to play this amazing newer code, its worth the wait guys!

it's almost as if this sort of thing happens every year

When people post videos of players "Naruto-running" and/or other weird deformed limb animations to hammer the game... You know what, I don't like that.

Because I can understand that for lots of reasons. This is a "demo-like experience" and Covid has hit them hard. (I'm not being sarcastic here.)

So I don't care about limbs passing through limbs and players ghosting through goalposts*.

But it's beyond that. The game is so horrendously coded that the ball will move on its own when you're miles away from it:

This isn't a graphical issue (though you're literally seeing it via graphics). How can you play a game where the ball moves magically to where it needs to be?

It's also a "tell", that there's no real interaction between player model and ball at impact. The interactions are fake, and for a next-gen game... I mean, can you BELIEVE this is a next-gen game?!!

Look at the AI. No recognition of the ball being in a dangerous area. The defenders parting like the red sea...

Stop treating it like PES. It's not PES and never will be again.

*The year is 2021, we have the fifth generation of modern games consoles, with enough power to manage Apollo launches, and still no football game can stop players from ghosting through shit. Unreal.

is there a possibilty to play online against a friend? if not, will it be in future?

WTF is this game? I have a PC GAMER with a GTX 1060 3 GB with resolution and graphics in high and just looks HORRIBLE

Let's see, I wasn't sure whether to write something here. All of you guys have made some very accurate comments. However, between the lines I could see (although quite far) some potential in this game. What happened? Well, they gave us the pre pre pre pre alpha, which completely ruins the rest. If they could even have optimized it in terms of resolution and fps, I think we would not be so on the edge of the cliff that we would jump (I was the first). That said, I return to my super modified pes 2021,5 that thanks to this community of authentic tyrannosaurus rex (I the first one again;)) will extend the life of this game until "the spawn" is playable, if this ever happens . Thanks to all of you guys, I never thought I wouldn't mind working on the day of a ·pes$ launch, OMG¡ really sad.

@Durandil67 already showed the reason of this: they mixed the old FOX animations with new UE4 .paks.
They literally kept the old .cpk structure with .bin files for DB information (competitions, teams, badges, boots, etc... )
screen_1.jpg
screen_2.jpg
screen_3.jpg

but now seems that all the textures are packed in UE4 format...
screen_4.jpg

that, obviously are encrypted with AES-256 and I cannot find a way to decrypt yet.

The good is that, having UE4 a strong community, it's plenty of tools to extract and modify packs, textures, 3D structures, etc...
The ugly is that it's too way bugged in an unimaginable way, I'm not so sure they can even fix it in the next months.

It's really a pile of puke.
