Spoony is losing is his shit with how bad this is. He claims that he played a “better version” at Konami.

A french youtuber that played the game in UK last week said the same thing today

Apparently they played a more recent build than the one released today, god knows why.

He says it in this tweet from the other day too:

As to why Konami decided to release an early build (apparently from July from what was found in the files?), ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All I can say to that is, look how basic the AI is.

Look at this clip. When the ball is moving in a danger area, the defenders have no clue. They think all is well.

Because the ball was recently in their possession, even as it rolls to the opponent, the defenders all start running into their "attack formation" positions. Parting like the red sea.

At best (and I mean, *best*), it's on par with how basic 2021's was.

It's "run to this pixel and stop" whenever possession changes sides.

So, I'm not trying to antagonize those who are deeply unhappy with what's been served up or indeed convince them of anything. I'm simply saying that I quite like certain elements. I have found the midfield of juve very difficult to break through. That can be the case at the same time as the game having the binary on/off AI of pes 20 and 21.

That video could indicate an underdeveloped game that hasnt fully implemented its smoke and mirrors approach to AI. Doesnt necessarily mean its unplayable once fully developed. But, of course, it also doesnt mean it'll represent any progress in any way.

Played a bunch of games with this e-thing (don't want to waste the word "football" either). Don't think I have much to add to what people already said. It's awful. It's exactly as bad as most of people here anticipated from the info we had. From the bugs to the dumbed down to the mobile game feel to the way teams moves. But I'm sure that given 12-24 hours we'll have an army around saying "it needs time", "just a demo after all" and so on and so forth. Whatever. Pes 14 was in a awful bad state but the skeleton was something so new and fresh anyway. This is just, well, garbage. Good luck polish this thing.

I still can't believe that's the final heir of the saga I played for now more than 20 years. I mean I was already preparing myself in the last few iterations, so it feels a bit like when my team sold Nesta in the last day of transfer market after already selling half the rest of the squad in the previous seasons - more empty than sad.

Well I'll be here waiting for a market shift of some sort because that's the only thing it can save this saga - assuming there will still be a Pes on pc/consoles around in a few years, which I wouldn't put my hands on. In the meantime, afraid a single modern football game now remains on the market. I guess it will just be that and retro gold for me from now on.

Worst rated PC game of all time, officially.
