As I said months ago, I think the game will do something like Rocked League or Fortnite. There will be no new game releases every year, just new season updates. Will be named eFOOTBALL only.

I can even imagine Konami's excuses and press release:
- After analyzing the collected information in our database, about most played modes by PES fans, and we found that 95% of people play only MyCLub and just 5% plays offline modes, so we decided to concentrate our efforts on developing and improving the most loved by MyClub and we are happy to announce that eFootball is a F2P game based entirely on MyCLub.

Again to all media outside.. THAT ARE JUST SPECULATION, that is not a fact or news :D Please, we just fill our time until the 21st

Wow, maybe it was already clear to the people following Konami for a long time like you did, but I'm quite new to Pes compared to everyone here, so this is a huge shock and disappointment to me since I gave up on EA 2 years ago and thought PES 2022 is the last hope, but Konami disappointed me even more than EA

Whole league seasons played in 2 or 3 generic stadiums, keepers rooted to their line in 1v1s, AI not shooting, AI not crossing, only scoring near post on the turn from a low cross, no AI dribbling, no AI long shots, broken cup game AI att/def level etc..... Could go on forever listing instances of total dogshit AI and a complete lack of effort in anything related to offline play from various iterations from the last 5+ years. Most of them have barely been playable offline without manually editing all the tactics. Out of the box Konami-style, they're shite, absolutely no effort made.

At least now they're being honest about their neglect of single player. In some ways I'd rather hear this than their pathetic boasts of a "Revamped Master League" and similar like they did for 2020 when it turns out to be total bollocks

In previous years I'd have said, yeah, yeah, the old secret play-test version bollocks.

But after the last few days, I honestly wouldn't put it past konami to have a secret super ps5 version that they're just not going to mention to anybody...

Friendlies with all clubs: 15 usd
11vs 11: 5 usd
Master League: 10 usd
Become a Legend: 10 usd
Cooperative: 5 usd
Matchday: 5 usd

This is known in systems as SaaS (software as a service).

Already hearing that familiar…80% build, different build, something secret, it’s going to be different for next gen, new demo code it’s awesome……….wake up and smell the coffee……..let it go and don’t get fooled by the same stuff rolled out over the past 15 years…..you’ve played it, you e seen it and the cat is out the bag on the future intention……just let it go
 
So they've gone into panic mode and said "master league is coming guys honest" :LOL:

Can't wait to see how they monetise it. No doubt the original ML price will be the cost of a full PES title but there's no way they'll settle for that one off payment being enough. I'm thinking yearly charge for roster updates or the original master league will be limited teams and you have to pay for extra ones or possibly all games in Konami Stadium unless you fork out for the "stadium pack". Considering the roster update they sold as PES 2021 was 25 quid I can't believe $10 for master league DLC is even remotely a possibility.

"Software as a service is a software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted". (wikipedia).

And that's a subscription $ per month? :P
 
Yeah, right ... you'll be downloading ML module from the cloud every time you want to play ML.

Nonsense.

Edit: What may be realistic is that game checks "somewhere in the cloud" whether you are proud owner of ML DLC or not upon each bootup or going into ML menus. So it (de)activates the pieces of game that you will physically have on your hdd/ssd. Once they deliver one of the huge 3-monthly updates that will introduce ML as an option

If they made a Master League add-on that was better than the ML in any previous PES, and they constantly improved it, I'm crazy enough to give them £10 a month. I've been waiting 10+ years for a sniff of a decent ML experience.

But as @Milanista said, and we all need to take heed of this:

Konami have stuck a knife into the PES dev team, gutted it, and turned it into a F2P dev.

There's no way that switching to a F2P model, built to capture as much money from myClub/FUT-type players as possible, will coincidentally also have an amazing offline/AI dev team with a big budget, to make any kind of decent Master League mode.

There's also no way that the gameplay will be any good, if I'm going to be brutal. We played the beta. It felt clunky for a reason - cos it's a mobile game now! It's not going to get better. Attach a Master League to it and... Well, it's like attaching a Career Mode to FIFA, in the state it's in right now - i.e. pointless.
 
This is embarrassing. Please Konami just release an official statement with actual plans for content pricing, instead of using mouthpieces.
