Every version of the game is getting Unreal apparently, so I guess it's a yes to the next gen question.
About the offline experience, don't get your hopes up. This game is thought for the online and the new myclub, ML and other offline mode will probably be a copy paste of the last year's game.

This took two years? What in hell where they doing? Jesus Christ I thought I'd handle whatever they threw but what in tarnation is this?

What's next? Them destroying editing due to licensing and giving a nonsense response?

I can't. I want to play football with mates, I don't care, but I can't show them this. What even...I... it's over I'm just getting the latest fifa or whatever at least it'll have career mode.
 
They did it… the mad bastards actually did it…

So PES is dead, officially going by the name, and dead to me as a playing experience.

A few brief thoughts as I take a break at work:
Was that trailer presented by a ‘text to speech’ application?
What have they been doing for two years?
Will a second company come about now as we’re down to one football video game.

Lastly, I hope people are proud of themselves. All those who worked there claiming to love Master League and the PES series. The company for cultivating a climate where people think blind praise and devotion will get them a job there. All those who spread propaganda about kings being back, three year plans and birds being free. Those who worked there only listening to smoke being blown up their asses rather than genuine concerns.., and all those people who had a chance to have a voice, give feedback but chose to clap like seals, get their free balls, shirts, mouse mats and copies of the game just so they can be invited next year.

I hope all those people today are really really proud of themselves.

I loved PES (mostly in the past) it’s gone now. Cheers lads.

TTB yesterday criticized fifa with their gameplay stuff, and he said in the video that he will do the same with PES if konami don't show something good, well I doubt he'll like this.

Spoony is not an insider by any stretch of the imagination lol. He's certainly a bit of a fanboy and will always be biased towards PES a bit. But that's the extent of it. I imagine he will lay into this efootball bollocks, tbh.

I'm surprised how no one comments on the terrible UI that the game has ... ok I understand that you are shocked by the news but we have been commenting on this for 1 month now that it will happen! We just have to congratulate ourselves for anticipating and knowing Konami to such an extent ... that we have predicted absolutely everything to such accuracy. (a little immodest but I predict all this and I was 100% right)

It was always going to be copy and pasted from the previous games, I knew it and called it as soon as the "live test" was on the ps store. utter embarrassment.

Natural evolution. You might disagree with me but I personally think their ui and design decisions over the years have been devolving continuously and this is what happens. You get efootball, scoreboards sponsored by windows 8.

Doesn't make sense to keep pc or older platform on old engine going forward as this negates cross-play that they are aiming for. So it's highly likely Unreal engine for PC as well
 
Also, now my thoughts.
Originally I thought it was only a name change and logo change and I wasn't sure about free to play.

But there is so much wrong that I keep uncovering every 2 minutes, it gets worse; Launches with only 9 teams or something??? So they lost all licenses etc or something, and this is literally PES Mobile on Console / PC but with upscaled graphics. Also the graphics look like the Beta test, which is probably the worst that could happen , or that's what I thought when I first played the beta, but no.. this is the killer for me:

NO MENTION OF MASTER LEAGUE OR BE A LEGEND,

And rumors are that they will be PAID DLC, if that's the case then hell I won't touch the game after just playing it a couple times when it comes out and only if it's gameplay is good. That's somewhat of a big if now.
I really hope they get the amount of backlash they deserve for doing this , especially since I'm new to the franchise after parting ways with fifa, so I had hope in Konami ( I remember saying I have hope for Konami but not for EA last week in a post in some thread, I think it's this or the fifa 22 thread) but with this I lost hope in Konami too so what do I play for a football game now? Will no one make a good game? If there's one thing to EA, it's at least that they add features (albeit it's to get back the older fans) but at least they add them, and with sliders, the game is somewhat playable offline with realistic sliders, I mean FIFA 20 was unplayable for me and some realistic sliders on Professional made the game much different and playable for me recently.


But we all know why this is happening, Konami gave up on trying to compete with fifa on console and pc and because of that their sales were low and I BET they didn't reach their financial goals for the past 2 years, now with this free to play, match pass, my club focused, DLC for master league and be a legend, they will easily reach their goals every year, and not having to release a new game every year.

Sorry for this huge rant(?) Or just a huge wall of sadness , I don't know

The only good thing I can think at about this pay-for-what-you-want thing is that we pay once and for all for the game modes, since this is intended to stay for many years

So, they confirm they don't care about offline gameplay against AI, all that it's important it's 1vs1. Let's say they will release optional offline modes the gameplay against AI will still be terrible. They admitted they don't care about refining gameplay against AI.

...because we all know this is a prank, don't we? It was meant to be made on April 1st but hey, it took them almost 4 months to do it because apparently they needed to stick to the timings of their matchmaking system.

...talking about fish, on a different note... Another assault to sign Peixoto awaits. Back to my PES 3 ML I'm going, I'll try once again to acquire him from Rhein, maybe this time the deal is going through (seriously I'm so broke that I had to pay the players myself this month, Rhein will laugh at me once again).

I'm more irritated by the fact, that none of the players is dropping a shadow to the pitch. This looks so wrong ...
