eFootball (All Platforms)

Perhaps this is not fake.

Not sure if anyone has quoted a source for that but even if it were true that offline modes (eg ML) will be offered for purchase later, my concern would be that the core gameplay has to work on mobiles, so will always be limited by that. Does it seem realistic that Konami would sell ML as an add-on and write a whole new gameplay for that? I doubt it, in which case, what would the point be in buying a PS5 or decent PC to play ML if it's limited to mobile gameplay.

I'm envisioning an alternate reality where they wax lyrical about Master League, CPU's behavior both offensive/defensively, showcase beautiful animations, and Seabass is in the background waving an Adriano kit like a madman.

It's not confirmed that master league will be part of paid DLC, remember Konami now has the leverage over Fifa by going F2P, they wouldn't throw that away by announcing it'd be part of paid DLC. They are heavily pressured now to throw in master league for us for free along with BAL

Could easily imagine seeing this in a few months -

Coming soon, play all of your favourite offline modes

ML
DLC £19.99 (with 1 league of your choice)

BAL DLC £19.99

Extras - Ligue 1 fully licensed £10.99
English league unlicensed £10.99
Spanish league unlicense £10.99
and so on and so on...

Still keeping positive at this point?
Hats off really.

Beyond the fact that the trailer didn't show gameplay, and that it's going F2P and LiVe SeRvIcE... some notably shit things:

  • eFootball is revolutionising the "1-on-1", which is the "essence of football" (paraphrasing) = goodbye any dwindling semblance of team defending, tactics, quality AI
  • same old janky animations in the small clips we could see; plenty of skating too
  • compatibility not just with last gen but with mobile too ensures there's not going to be any gameplay features that really tax the CPU-GPU, so all the talk about revolutionising gameplay is just PR.

this guy forgot to mention that he's pes mobile die hard fan
Yeah I didn't know that it would also be the same game on mobile. As an Unreal Engine developer, I know that it is super easy to release the same game on all platforms, but this is super disappointing. And I'm REALLY REALLY worried about Master League. And Messi looks nothing like he did in the reveal trailer. This is such a mess ;(

Please I'm scared now.

Someone tell me if Konami is going to Release PES 22 on q1 or next year or not? On Pc and next gen consoles?

Or is it only Efootball f2p game now? Oh God why? Why?! What is happening.

Game looks ugly asf too, what about offline modes? What about beautiful mods and all those stuff?!

So, there will be no more Pes 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 from now on. It will be a platform, meaning it will be updated year after year with new database, graphics, players, maybe modes, but the game will essentially just be eFootball, always free to play from now on.

Don't know about the mods, maybe when they will release the offline modes someone will be able to mod it.

And cup mode and League mode, only modes with less scripting

I'm not disappointed, shocked or even sad in the slightest, honestly. I just... don't care at all. I'm just tired of the current state of gaming and stopped caring, it's been devolving into this for years now. And look at Konami, they had so many great franchises they killed one after another, if EA swallowed up studio after studio, Konami just threw franchise after franchise in the bin, now it's PES' turn.
I'm perfectly calm knowing that I simply don't care anymore and I still have all the old PES gems at my disposal.

Nah, you have to play online to get crafting materials and buy coins to be able to craft and buy Master League and Edit Mode. Of course first you have to open random lootboxes for money to get a key to be able to unlock your crafted game modes.

It was just infuriating to be able to read the tea leaves and be told again and again that the beta was something different, or it had a placeholder name because it was unrelated to PES, or any number of ridiculous straw-clutching explanations. The writing was on the wall.
Completely agree with you mate. We all saw it coming (most of us did).

Just thought, for your own health - don't let Konami ruin your day
