EA SPORTS FC 24

No Line-ups, no Europa League song ect? Please someone tell me there must be a turn on/off option for this?

What a terrible gameplay btw, looks like a big joke to me atm.

Paqueta's stop at 2:20 highlights more than another thousand words essay why I absolutely, fucking despise with all my heart what they did with ball control in the last 3 years. It's like there is actually zero depth to the fundamental.

Seems like they did cut of match intro cutscenes. I have been checking multiple videos on YT and none of them have match intros.

Unbelievable. This game doesn't have gameplay appeal, neither does it look visually realistic and they even downgraded the cutscenes. There is nothing worth seeing in EAFC 💀

You made it to 2:20???

That's impressive.

I stopped after ~55 secs of video time which is ~20 seconds of gameplay time.

The start of the game is just madness, like literally from the kickoff.

The first attack of the match and the defense just retreats into their own box and allow him to get a shot off. Szobozoli closes down Antonio UNTIL he gets to his box which he's probably not coded to enter. Even when Konate steps across Antonio which does look good, Antonio still manges to toe poke it with enough power to force a save from Alison. But it's a pointless save by Alison because somehow Konate is judged to have fouled Antonio LOL.

This game...

Officially an owner of the game. Disc version, as the PS Store is overpriced. Just finished a 0-0 draw. Enjoying what is here thus far. Wish the AI defence would stop making that turn as last man though, giving a 50% chance to intercept and be 1-on-1 with the keeper

Not if you still have time on the trial when they change the gameplay
That’s unlikely mate because they change the gameplay at least once a month from release through mid-April. You’d barely get enough 10-minutes games in from 10 hours to discover each new eff-up they make.

It's the little things tho. Small details like these add up.
Injuries out of nowhere, horrible miss kicks, where you don't even hit the ball and your player falls, injured players being taken off on stretches...

Stuff like this just doesn't happen in football games anymore. Stuff that used to add immersion and realism.

Do you remember fair play AI behaviour in PES? When AI used to kick the ball out when you had injured player on the pitch? Or used to give you the ball back if you kicked it out?

It's so sad that all little immersive details were taken out in the name of ACTION.
It made the whole experience so damn flat...
Coin toss. Gimme a simple coin toss! 😊

this update its only for the pc which has a lot of bugs

I am at work right now. I will check it out when I go home.
The UT menu is not the only problems. A lot of things dont work correct at PC.
Optimization is terrible (amd gpu).
RT for the quick subs dont work.
The game freeze and stop working any time.
FPS drops at gameplay for no reason.
and more I cant remember.

Not hopeful as it's not in the notes, hopefully they have just gone and fixed them quietly cos they are too embarrassed to put all those bugs in writing

Yeah sure they're embarrassed. They're just laughing all the way to the bank with the money they make via their illegal gambling system. If they'd actually cared they wouldn't even release the game at this state. There are people asking for real if this is a football game or Rocket League with cartoons.

Its a shame because the amount of animations are staggering again and you can get some great goals, variety and and unique situations.

To me the biggest issue is the crab like mechanics to the movement. players don't move in that way.
What you said about the crab like movement has been my single biggest annoyance with this series. That said, I’ve been playing in the ‘end to end’ camera this time around. This one camera angle were you don’t see those annoying movements which are visible from the most camera angles from the side view. Check it out.

It is a shame because some things look incredible but it's all wasted by the fact it's all tied together by this completely unrealistic and smooth movement which makes it feel like everyone's floating and the ball is completely attached to the player's foot.

FIFA as massively regressed in this area imo. I don't ever feel like the ball is a separate entity to the player.

The strange thing is that in some broadcast camera with low angles the whole game look way less floaty/skating and much more realistic. Alcoraz stadium and Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium are my favorite although they are very challenging to play on. I posted pics of these stadiums cams (from PS5) on the editing section hoping that these cams can be replicated across all stadiums through PC mods. I'd consider a PC version in that case.

Optimization is terrible (amd gpu).
I'm not alone then. My rig (fairly recent, featuring a RX 5700 XT) begins sounding like an aircraft that's about to take off as soon as I start the game.
When the crowd is displayed (corner kicks, cutscenes) temps and noise go all over the place.

It also happened with eFootball though so I'm not totally sure it's 100% EA's fault.
AMD are famous for their totally stable and completely bug-free drivers after all.

The framerate drops below 30 on some of the cutscenes even on consoles. Right before they pick up the trophy to start celebrating, the scene where they walk on the stage seems to look very choppy even on ps5, at least that's what I've seen on youtube ps5 captures.

Also switch port graphics look heavily downgraded compared to the early switch ports.
-The lighting looks washed out.
-The cloth wrinkle normal maps became very opaque and barely visible [just like what they did with fifa 14 old gen].
-3D grass removed despite switch handing it just fine in older fifa games.

According to Jackson, EA Sports worked with marketing agency Two Circles to conduct a study on the franchise’s reach, which resulted in establishing that 62 million soccer fans around the world were only fans because of the video game.

That relationship is no more evident than in the United States where soccer continues to grow in the shadow of the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL driven by a tech-savvy, young, diverse demographic.

Soccer is the No. 1 sport in participation and No. 2 in fandom for Generation Alpha (born after 2013), according to a Morning Consult survey, while it’s the third-most-popular sport for Gen Z behind football and basketball, according to a Two Circles study.

This is very interesting. By no means am I a fan of NFL or NBA because of the games, but i'd imagine I enjoy the games far more than people with far more knowledge of the sports than me. I've played football to a pretty good level for 25-30 years along with watching far more than i should have when i was younger. My opinion on the game will be massively influenced by that vs someone who's only been a fan for a few years and to a much lesser degree than those who grew up with the game.

Really enjoying the Switch version of the game. It's less twitchy so you can can really appreciate all of the new animations. Feels unreal playing this on a handheld at times

And has match intros unlike the PS5/PC version

This is ridiculous. I consider myself an expert in basketball and football but I enjoy both Madden and The Show as a casual fan with limited knowledge especially when it comes to American Football. Am I the customer they should listen to? Ofc not.

I agree but with that said, 62 million is a lot of people :LMAO:

But…why? Serious question, not having a go.

There’s a trial. Play it for a few hours and you’ll find out pretty quick how bad it is.

EA will just keep churning out this terrible game if people keep paying 80 quid at release day for it.

it will be 40 quid in the sales in a few months, too.
I did the early access thing hoping now EA and fifa had parted ways I was going to see more new shizzle and much more edit mode stuff but it's just a cross breed of Esports & Fifa. Stupid me I guess. Also Dude it played better on the beta or maybe it's me.
