EA SPORTS FC 24

They are thinking we paid for R10, Drogba, Figo and Haaland. Nuff said, BUY IT.
Well R10, Drogba, and Figo did not say even that :D they appear for 4 seconds and leave the stage, looks like Haaland was abducted from his bedroom while he was sleeping, still in his pajamas.

I don't think it's offence so much as "if you're going to do that, you're half-arsing your gameplay, because they shouldn't feel the same as each other, and if they do, you're just making every player a generic clone".

I used to enjoy the women's football in the first iteration or two of it, because it was a slower, more thoughtful game. Now, let's be honest. It's the exact same gameplay, 150mph laserball, as the men's gameplay. Which renders it entirely pointless, IMO.

Just the same as I think it's pointless having Tranmere in the game if I can play like Man City using them. They're not Tranmere then are they? They're "White Shirts FC".
Even women footballers would admit that their football isn't as fast or brutal as the mens, just as the Premier League isn't the same as League but EA keep missing this edge to their game. All the fancy graphics and animations wont make up for the fact that ever player feels exactly the same (in vanilla).

I am so happy that i hate this FIFA Game since i can remember. This Arcade Style Gameplay with this idiotic Dribbling. They know that FIFA License and many Leagues is what all these FIFA Lovers made them to buy this Game everey Year. Now with the loss of this Content it's like Sky Germany, they have less Content but they want to get more Money for their Programms. It's what it is : Only get more Money is what counts. And EA is one of this Company that does it in Perfection.

Oh I get your point for sure.

Anyone think that real world Animation capture thing with the Haaland goal, does that mean in Ultimate Team anytime a crazy goal happens in real life, players will be able to score it in the game like 10 times in one match. Just made me think it means you will have this “unique special moments” happen every game

Seriously are people gonna get offended at women and men playing together in a video game?
It's not about.. offending or thinking like that, it's a just completely different sport! It can't be compared at all, they are from two different planets, and the only way this to happen, you need to force equality... is with fake statistics and you have to forget about all logic and reality.

So... that was something else, but not in a good way. I thought it was supposed to be a reveal where we got to see some of the actual video game they're working on, but instead we had to hear pretentious speeches about people's lives and stories that have very little to do with anything, how triangles are so incredible or something, that they're introducing the revolutionary hyper motion... again, and that we'll have different players with unique traits having those traits represented this year, which just feels like they're admitting that players have no individuality in recent FIFA installments besides strength and pace, I also couldn't stand how these iconic players showed up to this live even only to bring a trophy and then leave, what a waste... also, only a single second of actual match footage, maybe not even that... I didn't expect much, but I'm still disappointed. I suppose it's another year with retro Winning Eleven for me.

About the whole women on FUT thing, I don't care because Ultimate Team to me is what destroyed not only FIFA, but also PES, and many other sports video games in the long run, so I couldn't care less about it, but it shows how they're throwing realism out the window. We sometimes see headlines of men teams, even youth teams, beating women's teams easily, and I'm not saying that to bring women down or anything, this is the beautiful game, the world's sport, it's for everyone, but the idea of seeing an average woman winger on a physical battle for the ball against the average male center back just feels silly to me...

What loss of content? Did you not watch the presentation? There is the same licenses and leagues as before.

No did not watch the Presentation, cause i have no Interest. But loosing the FIFA Brand is a significant loss for many of these Kids playing this Game on their Handys.

Gameplay or not, at least we've got some first glimpse at that ecosystem. Finally users can create their own dream hotdog shop close to the stadium like in the sims and gamble on those rigged dots with player faces moving on the screen.

Who want's offline modes or solid gameplay mechanics when some canadian executives wearing golf clothes have their dream football game in mind. Ronaldinho, Figo and Drogba were just like some muppets there...

I disagree completely. FIFA branding is irrelevant now. The name of the game means very little. It's still the 'authentic' game and thats all that matters for sales.

Looks about the same as FIFA 23, and they still have the PS4/X1 versions, for how much more i wonder, just kill the old generation of consoles already.
Did not see the stream, but looking at features list on ea's site, looks about the same in that segment as well - no new modes or any of the spectacular things they were hyping as the brand new beginning. Literally all the same. I guess we will never ever see a game again with proper stadium creator (RIP PES 2011-2013) or edit modes/creation center (FIFA until 2014, PES until 2021). Is it fair to say its over?

This whole event was just them saying it's the same game and they will still have the licenses nothing will change gameplay wise

Too bad they didn't really show gameplay. For me its not doom and gloom as I know what to expect from this game and I still get some hours of enjoyment. I wouldve like to see if movements improved or basically what differentiates it from '23. I enjoyed '22 a lot (more so than 23) so Im hopeful I can rekindle that magic with the product they continue to give us. I did have some small hope for a graphical update/ color change tho...

I say this every year... If you expect his year to be different than previous which was the same than previous year, which was the same as previous year, etc etc you will be disappointed. If you've disliked FIFA, chances are you'll continue to dislike it. EA is a business (and a smart one at that), so they won't change their playbook anytime soon.

It looks like the Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition that we were used to getting, with the older engine and all, is done for:

A shame, as that was probably the FIFA that played best in recent years from what I could see, a real shame indeed.

For me the most important and saddest news: the Switch version will run on Frostbite engine. It was the last version which was fun and no more converting stuff to FIFA 16.
Actually we can use a lot of stuff from PC. Unfortunately not stadiums but we already have them a lot.

@Sami 1999
If the bottom part of the shirts are still stuck on the pants, it's not gonna impress me.

In terms of artstyle, I still prefer road to world cup 2006-fifa07's graphics. The new games always look bland to me. And the body/ jersey shape of the players look horrible.

None of those will matter to me if the game doesn't have international teams, including Brasil. No national teams= instant pass from me.

A whole load of nothingness. (Silly me thought FC PRO could be a alternative serious game for a moment)
Thought the same of FC Tactical (or FC Tactics, or wathever the hell it's called).
Silly me.

This being said, I watched part of it live because I was, after all, seriously curious about how they'd deal the split with FIFA presentation wise... Not worth my time.
Not a fan of men and women playing together in FUT of course as it would basically mean one of two things:
  • Women being slower and not as powerful as man > no-one would ever bother choosing them (unless there's a "minimum X women on the pitch" rule as there is in volleyball for example)
  • Women being blatantly overpowered to match men and being worth choosing over men > what @Chris Davies said. No need to say it again.
I would have loved a "female FUT" though, if it had followed the "women's football is different from men's football" logic, seeing that now they'll have five full leagues plus, I suppose, the teams qualifying for the Champions League (it wouldn't make any sense otherwise).

What can I say? Maybe next year we get to experience players making Hyper Volumetric 💩captured in real life across thousands of players in the rest room as a part of lifelike simulation with Gpu Underwear String Pants and Hyper Volumetric Farts right from the Pitch on this limitless Frostb(sh)ite Engine which is pinnacle of humanity achievement.

I start to believe this HypeBS are two if statemenets in the code.
