EA SPORTS FC 24

This was a whole lot of nothing, of course Career mode's got nothing new smh, to be honest tho, Proclubs crossplay sounds fantastic, even tho it shoulda been in last year lol

Everything I can say is:
🤮🤮🤮

What I had could be doing than skipping the YT video from the €A sect with his prayers and Haaland in a green pyjama:

punish my head in my TV, trying to run faster than every car on the german Autobahn (highway) against the direction of travel or hammer nails into my dick.
And I would have much more fun than watching these €A crap.

I'm not here to troll; in-fact I really don't like how eager people are to tear things apart (taking that box art as an indicator of in-game graphics, for example). The "angry mob" effect just makes it less likely that anybody would ever take criticism seriously, because it looks to outsiders like a load of old men desperate to hate stuff, for no reason other than the cheap thrill of bathing in toxicity.

I guess is really frustrating for everyone not to see the game evolving in the way we would have expected, specially after the golden FIFA 14-17 era.

At the same time, I see many of the users who criticize the latest FIFAs (and PES), in other threads trying to rescue the good parts of previous versions. I lost the count of how many times I installed prior releases to give them another try, to check if it was true what they were saying (and usually, it is). Plenty of people doing big efforts to mod them and turning barely playable games into something decent (like FIFA 23 with mods). They buy the game anyway, showing their support to the franchise, so I think those can be counted as objective opinions.

Then I see EA Sports YouTube's channel, the first 20 comments of people who are disappointed too and I realize this is just a small representation of the overall sentiment.

Something's fishy in that one millisecond gameplay footage... that's impossible !!!

Actually, I really dislike this thread a lot of the time. It's less "EA SPORTS FC talk" and more "LOUD NOISES".

That said, I *am* worried about EASFC. All this talk of the "EA SPORTS FC fulfilment platform and NFT-enabled software service solution featuring, occasionally, a ball" - and the continued focus on ultra-responsiveness as opposed to things that happen on the planet Earth - has got me really nervous.

It feels more and more like the beginning of rapid acceleration towards the end (of football-based football games).

(Also, that cover is so bizarrely bad, with genuinely messed-up faces, it simply had to be talked about.)
I do think people buying this game every single year for a good amount of money deserve to have at least a good cover. At this point they just don't give a sh*t of their fans/consumers, which isn't surprising at all from them, but this is very representative of the direction they seem to take since quite some time now. They are not even trying and the game cover isn't a detail for me, with all the money they make it is unacceptable for me...
I'm sure you (probably) share this point of view too, but I really think we have to continue saying those things out loud even if we know that's EA and people start to get used to their mediocrity

EA cannot lose, ever. Even if the previous year's game is bad, they buy the new one, as it'll be better than the last game, so preferable to play and all your friends have the new one and there's no competition to EA.

I was going to check out the stream on youtube and couldn't understand why it was just music when there were people talking, turns out the audio is just woefully out of sync.

I could be just optimistic for any change after all these years. Both with fifa and the beloved pes falling off a cliff. But i thought it looked less skaty to me in the 3 seconds of gameplay we seen. We’ll know soon enough but i like the look of it so far.

It'll be closer to street fighter and super smash bros than football

That annoyed me. Almost midnight here and I stayed up late to watch the 'gameplay trailer', not expecting the utter bunkum that was spoken at this "event". Good to have the women's leagues confirmed, but still need Italy and the other UWCL group stage teams, when the competition gets underway. Someone mentioned the POV clip with the heavy breathing, and we got that 🤣 and the obligatory 1 second of actual footage. The touches of the ball did seem a little heavier to me (like the ball was more of a heavy object), but it could well just be my mind playing tricks from the sounds they've used. We'll wait and see what happens from here. I'll probably still go for it. No other choice in the world for me to play a good graphics game with the current season

(Until Konami put Top Player and edit mode)

Not watched, not bothered, not buying…………same old awful rubbish and the first time I’ve zero interest in the autumn drive for footy games in 25 years……I just cannot believe what has happened to these games over the last couple of years.

As for men and women playing together in the same team…………laughable. Don’t go down the misogynist path please, I bloody love women, especially my wife…..this is about the physical make up, strength and power being completely different, it’s simply why it does not happen in the real world. It tells me all I need to know about the lack of individuality and overall direction of an already comical, high velocity, jelly legged, skating, arcade super skill fest, button mashing, scripted, BS of a game.

They can make best trailers but sadly these little moments where actual gameplay is shown we can see that sliding when recieveng the ball and start running is present again. I really don`t know how they throw soo much money in product that can`t replicate simple things. And of course they will sell it in milions around the world.

If we accept this Women vs Man crap, next thing they will do is to add superheroes or celebrities as playable characters into game like fortnite and warzone. I will put Batman on my team as a striker because he has invincible playstyle or Flash as a winger because he is super fast. This is where thing are going towards unfortunately...

This year EA really put no effort.
There is literally nothing new regarding gameplay.
Gameplay trailer with no gameplay.
The official site says that the new features ara
-Hypermotion V (so just hypermotion from 2022 with a new name)
-Player styles (classic marketing trick with vague and hard to notice changes, if any)
-Enhanced Frostbite (Probably it refers to cutscenes and maybe replays).

But EA will get you hooked, by shutting down the servers of 23 and forcing you to buy the "new" game for 70 euros.
Finally they found a way to be lazy and collect money effortlessly.
The same apply to efootball.
Unfortunately the future of football games is doomed. (at least for 2-3 years )

We all know it's going to be shyte.

Offline no longer matters. It doesn't make them money, so that will be rife with stupid bugs because some tester has simmed about 4 games and said 'Yeah, career modes fine'.

The Men & Women in the same team is just ridiculous. I'm all for equality but would you have a boxing game where you could be Tyson Fury v some woman. He'd probably kill her IRL with 1 punch. But let's not let realism stand in the way off selling more kids the gambling FUT dream.

I think for any serious footy gamer, you have 2 options. Football Manager or retro stuff.

Kids don't have the attention spans these days to sit there grinding a career mode. They want to spend £300 on packs, have the 'best players' and play out 8-7 wins to slap all over Tiktok to get views.

We 'older' or 'offline' gamers just have to accept it and not have any expectation it will ever be different.

That new team's wheel menu is good, I hope they make more UI changes as I've found trawling through menus on the recent FIFA's a bit tedious.

I don't think in-game graphics will be too far off that action trailer, seems this year the main visual addition is gonna be cloth physics as they've already pioneered good hair & turf physics as well as nets and goalkeeper fingers. I don't think there's much else other than maybe dynamic weather or dusk-to-night cycles they can really implement visually.

Regarding women, Realism was never going to be the ethos with this generation of football games, The FIFA license placed a lot of restrictions on the depiction of players and teams so EA wanted to mix men & women a lot sooner but weren't allowed. Being free of this partnership will allow them to collab with more non-footballer public figures/athletes and celebrities.

It's not all shocking, it was only a matter of time and I FUT should be a fantasy fun mode and all, it's the exploitative consumerist vibe of it all that gives me the ick but again, what can you do about it?

sticking in 1 second of game cam footage in that trailer seemed really odd as it didn't accomplish anything to the direction of the trailer, so... why add it? May as well let the trailer be a cohesive action/cinematic trailer and do your raw gameplay trailer another time.
