Well we havent retained the title before but we still haven't retained 3rd place either. Now Runedge uou and I had an interesting discussion about how you didnt feel your season was a disappointment, and then you come here and suggest my not feeling disappointed is because I dont have high expectations.
Please, Every Arsenal fan expected to win the league this year, just like ManU fans did, so lets not make it an issue. All we are trying to say is beating ManUtd sort of makes things more bearable.
I was just questioning the reason why someone said that Man Utd fans moan while Gooners dont. Some of you seem so happy with the FA Cup while a lot of Man Utd fans would still be moaning if we had won it. Just like last year. The press are never after Arsenal but as soon as something wrong happens to Man Utd, everyone is questioning Sir Alex's job security.
If Man Utd have a bad season, its a big deal but if Arsenal have a bad season, it isnt.

Now could u please provide some numbers with regards to you guys having the highest numbr of injuries (sounds like a nice line to get off the hook doesn't it).
At one point or another in the season (and most of these have been together at the start of the season) we have had to play without Rooney, Ruud, Saha, Smith, Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Heinze, Rio, Fletcher, Gary Neville. Theres probably more I cant remember.
All of them excluding Giggs, Gary and Smith happened before Christmas so thats in the space of 4 months. Now look at that list and think about what that leaves in the squad.

You have a proven reserve team, unfortunately they havent yet shown what they can do in the seniours. Arsenal's youngsters, whom we relied on heavily have shown what they can do. So if you are happy based on that fact, you should of course expect us to feel even more confident about next season's campaign.
Our reserves havent been given a chance yet to prove themselves. I'm telling you what I see when I see our reserve team play. And I can tell you that they look like the best reserve team we've had in about 4 years.
Richardson is really the only player to move out of the team and get a chance to play. And what did he do? He kept West Brom in the Premiership and made history.

You say Chelsea broke all your records, so what? Your points total this season will not have merited the championship in most other seasons, neither did your goal haul so stop being irrational.
Finally, only the most bereft footbal fan can claim that Chelsea played better football than Arsenal this term. I mean there are few things set in stone in this league. Manchester United are the greatest premiership team to date, Jose Mourinho is the best coach in the league, Robbie Savage is a bastard swine, and Arsenal play the best football.
Now dont come around here telling us that we are not an aspiring lot becasue we are, but we are also capable of accepting mishaps and losses because we know that we have a team that on many an occasion overachieves. We have spent an average of 45million pounds since Wenger's arrival, now if 3 league triumphs and 4 FA cups is not enough then my smpathies go out to all you Manchester United supporters. Coming third is something unheard of at Highbury for a long time, yet spendthrifts like ManU have the nerve to talk about a lack of desire to achive.
You come up with all that crap and its got nothing to do with what were talking about.
I'm saying that since Chelsea broke our points record, there was almost no way we were going to beat them to the title. Chelsea raised the bar really high so we shouldnt be too upset cuz realistically we werent gonna win it anyway. We had a HUGE unbeaten run during the season where we were arguably playing the best football in the country but the gap didnt get any smaller between us and Chelsea. This was Chelsea's season and no one was ever gonna take that away from them.

And please desist with all the useless excuses about the Carling cup this, Champions league that. You have an outstanding ability to rationalise everything to suit your ego and make bedtime easier.
I'm looking at the bigger picture and like to take the positives out of the season and move on. We have too many good things that happened at the club that we can look forward to which eventually will lead to success. Maybe if we didnt get anywhere next season then I would have something to be upset about.
And what is it that you want anyway? You want to see me upset? You want me to cry for you so that I make YOUR bedtime easier?
People like you cant get anywhere in life you just sit around and cry over your failures. A person with brains would move on and try to make the best of the situation.
