So Ash is guilty, wonder what his punishment will be.

Chelsea will get a fine which will mean nothing. Only a transfer ban will affect them!

I really feel the weight of the punishement for both Ashley Cole and Chelsea should be equivalent. A monetary fine for Ashley Cole, or games ban, may hit home hard, but a monetary fine for Chelsea will mean nothing. Unfortunately one cannot hope that Chelsea will be given a fine on par with what would have been given to any other team had they transgressed in the same manner. Chelsea just have too much money. Will this be taken into consideration? I hope so. Will it be ethically right to create a separate rule book to deal with Chelsea? Not really. Im sure it will be tough for the FA to come up with satisfactory penalties that will leave everyone satisfied.

Justice yes! way over the top though if you ask me, Nothing like other presidence that have been set, and now Cole is going to turn the transfer world upside down like Bosman did!

It's about time the FA started handing out proper punishments. A fine even up to £1 million is still nothing to Chelsea, the only ways to really affect them are to suspend transfers or decduct points. It is quite a harsh penalty, but the whole point is that it's a deterrent. Thats how it should work IMO, make the punishment bad enough so that they (or anyone else) never feel tempted to do it again. A fine is just a slap on the wrist for Chelsea, this is more of a smack which they fully deserve.

Imagine if we pipped them to the title next year by one point... love it

Did you hear that cunt Bruce Buck the Chelsea chairman trying to blame it all on Arsenal!! I was fuming!! His argument was that basically we had our own agenda in reporting Chelsea to the FAPL!!?? Saying we had the temerity to make a complaint about members of his staff acting outside the rules of football and in a way that's as far from sporting as you can get.

WTF!! Excuse me Buck, but you were talking to our contracted player, which is against FAPL rules. What did he expect us to do? Say "oh don't worry chaps, it was just a meeting, its not as if you were discussing a contract or trying to sign the player was it? We did what we thought was right, report the cheating bastards!!

At the end of the day, we have come off worse. Chelsea have got away with a fine (oooo thats gotta hurt!) and we have a player who is alienated by his club and the FAPL fine (which he is appealing against) and none of it our fault. Chelsea can now walk away from it content in the fact that one of the best players at their main title rivals is now totally unsettled, and it only cost them £500,000. A drop in the ocean.

As for Cole, wtf is he doing? Why can't he be a man and say "I did wrong, lets just move on now. And can I sign the new deal £55k a week deal please?". Instead he is choosing to appeal against the fine because he still feels he is innocent. Bollocks. He knew the rules before this meeting, its wrong what he did. Yes he has had some bad advice, but surely its time to move on. At this moment, I am pissed off with him. We all thought he is one of us, he's been at the club since he was 9 years old, we all thought he may be a future captain one day. Not so sure now. He wants to ruin everything just because of £5k a week?? He represents everything that is bad with premiership footballers, they get paid too much, they believe their own press too much and they are thick as shit. I will leave the final word to the commission:

"It is still a matter of profound regret that this matter has disturbed a unique relationship between Arsenal Football Club and Ashley Cole. Ashley Cole must also realise that Arsenal Football Club have been a major factor in the development of his brilliant career, without which he may not have reached the heights that he now enjoys.

Rant over...

Where the fuck did this Bruce Buck spring from all of a sudden, its the first ive heard of him

He's the other Chelsea share holder. Apparently UK law states that every company must have 2 shareholders. Abramovich owns all but one share which belongs to Buck.

I swear I read him come out with the comment "It's unbelieveable, it seems like only yesterday I was on the terraces shouting KILL KEN BATES" when he was asked how he felt about the change in Chelsea's fortunes.

Here is the actual interview extract.

People ask him if being chairman of Chelsea is a dream come true, he says, but such an event had never been even a dream. It was way beyond his wildest. “It’s really quite amazing. A little more than a year ago I was in the East Upper Stand here yelling ‘kill the ref’, ‘kill the coach’, whatever.” He may think that now from time to time, but sitting in the directors’ box, he keeps it to himself. At the first game he attended as a director, though, his son thought he was being set up. They go into the directors’ dining room and Ken Bates says, ‘Bruce, sit over here.’ “So my kid says - Dad, I don’t understand it, last season you were sitting in the stand yelling ‘kill Ken Bates’ and now you’re his best buddy - but it’s been a wonderful year; to be a sports fan and see how sport works from the inside and see it operate as a business is very interesting.”

Not as sinister as I made it sound but still quite extreme for the gead of a large law firm!

This might sound a little paranoid-Arsenal conspiracy theory esque, but I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is a snide plot by Chelsea to unsettle Cole. I'm sure they would love to genuinely sign him, but the way they went about it seems too blatant. If you were gonna court one of your leading rival's best and most high profile players, wouldn't you do it in a secret, private location in the suburbs or something rather than a swanky London hotel? (the Royal Park for f*cks sake).

Maybe I'm reading to much into it, but it's almost like they wanted to get caught. We know they made a move for Henry fairly shortly after Roman's revolution, but after coming up against a brick wall their attention probably turned to our other assets. They had absolutey nothing to lose out of this situation, either A) Cole would agree to sign or B) they would get busted, get a slap on the wrists and in the mean time unsettle one of their rivals most important players.

It's not the same exactly, but they're doing a similar thing with Rio Ferdinand at Man Utd. Chance meeting or not, it's just not right for a top player to have dinner with a major rival's Chief Exec. I mean what do you think they were talking about? Celebrity Love Island? Rio is now stalling on his contract, quite possibly because in the back of his mind he is aware that he could earn a lot more at Stamford Bridge. Even if Chelsea have no intention of signing Rio they have still contributed to souring the relationship between a player and his club/fans. Chelsea did the same thing with Sven before they got Mourinho remember.

It all stinks a bit for me, the most gaulling thing being that the FA, the institution built to protect the integrity of the game will do sweet FA to put a proper stop to it. 'Suspended 3 point penalty', bollox.

To be honest i think eveyones blowing it out of proportion tapping up goes on eveywhere, at every club including your own and if anyone should be getting reprimanded its the agents!

Cole's been fined 100k
Chelsea 300k + suspened 3 point deduction
 Justice?

They'll only get deducted 3 points if they tap another player next season, which means it won't happen, which means they'll be more careful, which means the chelsea got let off with a slap on the wrist..

Fcuk ashley cole the ho... let him be the another member with girls aloud with his miss' and put clichy in there. Hope he rots in hell... i was in Rome sitting in my hotel room, and i saw the verdict. i wanted to strangle him with his jumper he had on his shoulders.. this ain't a catwalk you twat!

They already tried to tap up Rio after the Cole incident, they also had incident with UEFA about his comments after games, Mourinho bloody 'guesses' who will referee the second Barca game, they kidnap John Obi Mikel.
But after all this, they get a SUSPENDED 3 point deduction?

As a Man Utd fan, I have teams that I naturally hate. First is Liverpool because of a historical and pure competitive rivalry, Arsenal because its more of a personal and physical rivalry and now Chelsea because they're just ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!
Before being football fans, we're all human beings. Which is why no matter which team you love or hate the most (unless its Milan), we were all cheering for Liverpool in the CL final. And I have to admit, there are times when I want Arsenal to win in some of their European ties. But Chelsea is completely different. I just feel that everything associated with Abramovich is wrong. He's destroying this beautiful sport.

What is that? Special event kit?

Special commerative last season at Highbury shirt. The colour is redcurrant and it's the shade of red we wore when we first played at Highbury.

Not sure our keeper would have worn bright orange however.

This is utter bollocks. To justify something just because it happens all the time ridiculous!! Shoplifting goes on all the time, but you can't justify it!! Tapping up is against the rules, the FA had a great opportunity to stamp it out completely by deducting Chelsea points for next season and they fucked up. Suspended 3 points!! It should have been at least 10 points not suspended, now thats a detterent!!

No as bad as I first feared, still looks wrong though.

No white sleeves..... blasphemy

Thing is mate, the white sleeves came after the redcurrant. So what is right? Its an Arsenal kit at the end of the day, and a quite nice one too.

Yeah it is a nice kit, but it's just not very Arsenal. Once apon a time the club was called Dial Square, but the club is famously known as Arsenal. Once apon a time the club was from Woolwich, but it's famous as a North London club. And yes, once upon a time Arsenal had a redcurrant shirt, but the team is famous for it's white sleeves. Surely there can only be a handfull of people still alive who remember Arsenal in all red?

But that's the last time I whinge about it, promise! It is quite a spanking kit, lets hope it's lucky for the boys.

ARSENE WENGER'S.......ERM.......REDCURRANT ARMY!!

Do you think we are going to see Ashley Cole in that shirt?
We already have. He's in the picture above.

OK, seriously. I think he wants to leave but only on a bosman so you've still got a few years to convince him to stay if you still want him.
If you have a trophyless season sometime while he's here, he'll definately leave.
I just think its the lack of support from the club thats pissed him off the most.
