The Emirates is now half built and I for one, cannot wait for the first match there! What an arena its gonna be!! Check this picture..

It is fecking huge, the other pictures on the website show that the top teir is very steep meaning you should get a good view from all seats just like the Millenium Stadium.

As an accountant I understand that and things will never change but surely the accomadation being built near the Emirates would be attractive enough without the need to chuck ina season ticket.

Do Chelsea actually attempt to sign players that someone else hasn't shown interest in. Although we've been put off by his price tag they're just making sure that no-one else can have him.

Those fucking idiots don't realise how much the rest of the footballing world despise them. The only time anybody agrees with what they do is when they pay over the odds for one of their players.
 
They're just arrogant c*nts! Remember 3 years ago when they couldn't even afford a proper pitch and they were playing on sand and building castles, and now, ooooh we want to part of the G17.. please.. wankers.
 
Fuck 'em. End of the day, they can only play 11 players at a time and big stars don't sit on the bench forever no matter where they are (ask Mickey Owen). I don't care who they sign, Arsene will find someone just as good if not better for 1/8 the price.

I mean, sure Arsenal can find great players for a low price but at the end of the day, all Chelsea have to do is throw something like £80million for a player like Adriano and your "great" signing will look like nothing.

With all of Abramovich's money, Chelsea are in the best position to be the greatest team on and off the pitch. They're already starting to gather the best staff off the field from the manager, all the way to the people in charge of the marketing. And on the pitch, they have the power to buy the best players in every position. Plus they can also stop all the other teams from competing cuz we've already seen how they can unsettle our players.
And now they've started targeting our transfer targets. Hleb is not the only one. I read today that they're after Park Ji-Sung who Man Utd want.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Chelsea are ruining football for everyone else.

Not necessarily true. Like Mourinho says, the best players in the world already play at the best clubs. All the money in the world doesn't guarantee any player you want. Adriano is staying at Inter, Shevchenko is still at Milan and Henry is still at Arsenal. Why? Because when you play for a big club, you are banging in loads of goals and you are worshipped why would you want to up and leave? More money? Maybe, but most of them are on fat contracts anyway.

As for them over-spending that just makes me laugh. I know who I would rather have between Robin Van Persie and Didier Drogba, but apparently one is worth 20 odd million less than the other (!).

The fact that they nabbed Arnesen is more worrying, as the guy clearly has an eye for emerging talent. That's what Chelsea will most likely concentrate on now. They want more Robbens, ie get em young so they have no real reason to leave.

But if you're a team in need of money and Chelsea offer some money, what would you do?
Heres an example. Lets just say Chelsea offered something like £50million for van Nistelrooy, do you think Man Utd would find it easy to say no? Seeing how Glazer needs money, he'd sell Ruud right away.

Now if Chelsea offered Inter about £80million plus maybe Veron for keeps, Inter would probably accept regardless of whether Adriano wants to stay or not.
 
Inter are a really rich team, theyre in the top 10 of rich clubs since their owner also owns Pirelli. I think a better example would have been drogba, who they had to offer 25m to sign when hes a player worth no more than 15m.
 
I hope it's not true. It would really serprise me if it is cause I thought he was a devout Muslim and is married.
 
I read he became a muslim because of his girlfriend. But that wouldnt really stop you, would it?

If its a story about a high profile player like Beckham, theres a great chance that the story could be fake but with a player like Van Persie, I have a bad feeling it could be true.

But the alleged incident did take place in Rotterdam wihere he is a high profile celeb.
 
Smells like bs to me but I guess we'll have to wait and see. A lot of people in Holland really don't like RVP. He was nearly battered to death by angry Ajax fans in one of his last games in Holland. Apparently he had a bad reputation as a bit of a petulant c*nt as a youth team player. I read a story about how he insisted on having the biggest car in the players' car park!

There's a lot of $$$ hungry bitches in the world, and unfortunately they make you question these sort of very serious allegations. Remember Kieron Dyer's case? and the Leicester players in Spain, Dickov etc? All bollox, I just hope this is too.
 
Hleb - This guy is pro in FM. :p So yeah im pretty satisfied with Chelsea being linked with him. hahah just kidding. Never seen him play, anyone have any thoughts?
 
Nope, a majority of the time we sign players we haven't been linked with so it wouldn't surpise me if Hleb wasn't at Arsenal come August.
 
One of these days, you're gonna sign a nobody and he'll turn out to be a real waste. Sometimes you just have to sign the proven players.
