It didn't do you much good though did it? Good luck in the CL qualifiers.. :D

how can not beating the champions not do you much good, I enjoyed it mate and so dod millions of other United supporters...

not arsed about qualifying for The CL, if anything its you's sorry arse wipes that need luck, I mean to never even get passed the 1/4's is poor for a team that fancies themselves as a big club...

lol even Villa have won it!!

Well, United didnt pass the 2nd qualifying phase and failed to pass the quarters last year too. The year before United also got out of the quarters against Real, so I think its equal for both teams since they cant pass the quarters, apart from 99' for United. Its the present that matters most isnt it?

I think you'll find it was the 2nd qualifying phase 2 seasons in a row that has stopped them if i'm correct!

But at the end of the day we weren't the team to beat, that was Chelsea and you took absolutely fuck all from them.

what?? you's we're unbeaten in over a season and the champions, how could you not be the team to beat...

tell yourselves whatever you want, taking 6 points of you's was sweet, we never bought into the hype about you being "the best football team EVER" and it showed...

I'm hoping for a good game tomorrow, hopefully the goons wont get upto their usual dummy throwing tactics....

Win or Lose its just good being in a final after such a bad season...

Difference is that Emirates are handing us £100 million for our sponsorship, whereas the yank is screwing you for anything up to £500 million*.

John Nicholson wrote a good article about the whole Glazer affair on football 365, you's should check it out.

Changing the subject i'm off to Soccer AM tomorrow for the cup final special. Gonna get to meet Ian Poulter, Johnny Lee Miller and Ian Holloway and then go out on the piss with them for the final after. Should be wicked day I hope.

No, my mate's brother is Robbie Knox so he's got us into the studio.

Jenson Button was originally going on but he had to pull out which I was a bit gutted about. Although he's supposed to be an arse it would be cool to get a photo with him.

For how many games has Van Persie taken over Henry's position after his injury?

he's a class player, bit of moody/dirty bleeder but he's some talent, think he's done okay since he took Henry's place...

from what ive seen of him, hes been a good keeper. Helped us win the league in 2000. Abbiati to Arsenal?

Milan are set to part company with goalkeeper Christian Abbiati this summer, but despite promising offers, his intentions are to leave Italy.

“I think the time has come to spread his wings and fly,” said Abbiati’s agent Vincenzo Morabito. “Two years ago he was Italy’s third choice goalkeeper, but with Dida playing so well he hasn’t got the room to shine.”

The Brazilian’s performances over the last two years have pushed him on to the bench and reduced him to the odd Coppa Italia appearance.

There has been talk of offers from Palermo, Fiorentina, Roma and Lazio, but it seems that Abbiati would prefer to move abroad.

“We’ll have to wait and see what Milan’s position is on the matter and there should be a meeting after the Champions’ League Final,” continued the representative.

“Now Abbiati is a bit like Alberto Gilardino on the transfer stage, as everyone wants him in their squad. Palermo and Roma are potential moves, but we know it’s difficult for a goalkeeper to sustain the pressure in the Capital. The Sicilians are a growing club and Christian would appreciate that destination.”

However, the call of La Liga and the Premiership is stronger than a mid-table Serie A side and could tempt Abbiati into an overseas switch.

“Two years ago we rejected a move to Arsenal, but we wouldn’t make the same mistake again,” added Morabito. “Leaving Italy is fine, as long as it is for a prestigious cub. Villarreal and Arsenal are still interested and they would be great moves for Christian.”

If only Gary Neville is fit for the game. He'd easily wind up players like Van Persie.

Congrats on winning but unless your name is Lehmann, you didnt deserve it.

BOLLOX! Arsenal soaked up everything you had to throw at them. If you can't put the ball in the back of the net that's your problem!

Bergkamp has been offered a new deal! HAPPY DAY :mryellow:

Arsenal outplayed liverpool in 2001 and lost in the last fifteen minutes. ManU outplayed us virtually all game long and lost on penalties. I know for the next couple of weeks or even months ManU fans will constantly harp on about how we didnt deserve to win, and as such they are really not hurt by us winning. However, I'll give them about a year to let things marinate, and at that point in time when everyone forgets the details of the game and the only thing that matters is who hoisted the cup, trust me you'll feel the pain then. So, why not just let it sink in now that you lost a game. A GAME. A game in which the most important thing is to score goals and do so more than the opponent does. If you dont, you lose. LOSERS.

Yeh in 2001 it was the best we played in any of our finals under Wenger and we ended up on the losing side. We know how Man Utd fans must feel. But imagine how the Bayern fans felt after the final in 99'. Surely nothin can compasre to that

Well done to Arsenal, they defended well and were clincal in the penalty shoot-out. Lehmann was brilliant and our poor finishing meant that all our good work before that was put to waste.

Congrats.

How heartaching was that - we were really poor today going forward, but immense in defence! I guess we been practicing penalties since the woeful ones we did again Galatasaray in the Uefa Cup Final.

Amazing end to a day...

Someone said something to me as i was leaving the pub..

......"oi u with the iceman shirt.. how sweet was that? In one week their house got sold... and today we robbed their house!"... We did indeed :D
