2010 FIFA World Cup

I've done these with Cahill.

Don't hit them that hard and they wrong foot the keeper with precise reverse shots.

Don't get me wrong, I can score weaker shots rolling the ball into the far corner but i've seen some belters fly into the bottom corner from outside the box but it just doesn't seem possible to get this kind of power along the ground from shots inside the box.

You just can't get venom like that in the shots from inside the box

You can't be serious? Some pro players don't even touch the ball with their weak foot and won't even attempt shooting from distance.

Anyway i was on fully manual for shooting, i only keep semi on passing because i am too used to PES, still trying to adapt to fifa.

I said they SHOULDN'T have a weak foot so yes I am deadly serious! I know they have but to me it's pathetic. All they have bloody done all their life is play football.

My left foot is slightly weaker than my right but I've smashed screamers in with my left. Can pass with it easily too. It's not just for standing on you know.

I played a decent level but was never a full pro but if I can do it, I see no reason why a pro shouldn't. It's quite laughable to me! It's not as if thy haven't got time to practice.

I bet there are plenty others here who are exactly the same and can use both feet.

Anyway...

Italy 2 - 0 Argentina | EA SPORTS

It wasnt as hard as Van Persie Strike(Di natale cant hit as hard as Persie), but the Replay doesnt do justice to this goal, the strike felt great and had sting on it. This goal wasnt possible on fifa10.

I would like to see that goal but it says theres an error.
Everytime I get into the box I try to smash it low and hard across the goalie into the far corner and not once have I managed it. It shouldn't take a high profile player to do this, christ I see it during my games every Saturday and that's only Amateur level

Just played a totally assisted dickhead online. Just pass straight to Torres and run .

I played in barcelona youth team when I was young, later on played some low league clubs until I had to go amateur at 21 due to work and other personal things. I've played football all my life and still play it on an amateur level. And you know what?

I'm extremely lefty. I can't shoot with my right leg. At all. I can pass very precisely and run with the ball and dribble, but it's impossible to shoot from distance. I tried many times, but there's something off with it. It's something my body don't understand.

On the other hand, as the typical lefty I am, I can put the ball wherever I want with my good leg, and I mean I was a hell of a passer and had a good shot. But with my right... nope, that can't be. I know left footed players find it way harder than right footed to shoot with the wrong foot, it's scientifically proved it's more difficult.

Yes, it would be great that all pros had great skills with both feet, but I think something would be lost in translation. I mean, there's a great history of players that are extraordinarily gifted with his good foot, and they are because they never use their other leg, so they get very specialized. When I watched Maradona play, I would never say "oh, he never shoots with his right foot". It's only that his left foot was so good he didn't need the other one. :WORSHIP:

Let me add to that, players that can use both feet are extremely rare.

Funniest thing i heard was paolo maldini that had to kick a penalty in an italy holland euro semifinal. He said that while he was walking to the box is was still unsure what foot he would use to shoot..amusing.
Of course he missed...

Hey Drek I am in barcelona too...if u have some ps3 games to lend..i just bought the thing!!!

Is there no way to change the players in the 30 man squad? I remember in Euro 2008 we could trade players in and out constantly, even during the qualification campaign.

Why is Andy Townsend telling me that the big players like Rooney, Gerrard and....Owen(!) need to perform well?

So in your oppinion Rivaldo, Maradona, Stoichkov and Xavi are not professional enough because they can't shoot with both feet... interesting. If you're "going to be a pro", you maybe should learn more about this sport, fella.

Most of the best players I've seen playing at Barcelona and around Europe couldn't shoot properly with both feet. And 99'9% of them were, for sure, better than you.

Unless you talk about passing and dribbling. Things that I already stated most players do regularly with both feet.

wow everyone in here plays for barca or milan. I feel like such a loser because im only getting 100 bucks a game.

I play at AC Milan and will turn pro in October.

:WORSHIP:

When I used to play at Man U, nobody ever complained that I could only cross with my right foot, because I was always so accurate. Same at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, and for England. And I don't remember seeing you at Milan.

Many jealous people here where their talent only allowed to work in a mall.

Just check my name Focacio Baloda and you will see this aint no joke.

Some ignorant is stating that Maradona couldnt shoot with both legs.

Nothing on Google?

Nearly all Pro's are two-footed, just because they prefer to use the better foot doesnt mean they cant use their weaker foot. This is ridiculous. Beckham has an amazing left foot, but because his right is so good, it's massively over-looked. To say Maradona didnt have two feet is absurd. Yes his left was like wand, but to say arguably the greatest player of all time had no right foot is beyond ridiculous.

 It will be interesting to see the longevity of the WC title, offline it's going to get dull quick...

Some Professional's players are really not that good with their weaker foot. Valencia is a good example.

There's a difference between being able to use your weaker foot and being two footed. Beckham did have a fairly good left foot (one of his assists in the Eng 5 Ger 1 game was a left footed cross) but his right foot was far better, far more assured and instinctively accurate. He also can't generate nearly as much power with his left because he has to focus so much on placement.

Nani has what many would term a good left foot, but using it adds a good second or two to his decision making time because he trusts it a lot less. Hence during his recovery process this season Utd have looked to play him on the right, at least until he recovered his confidence.

Valencia, conversely, is probably one of the most one-footed footballers ever to have two legs.

so what are most of you guys playing single player on. Professional or World Class?

Professional. I started out on World Class but found the constant CPU sprint-pressing (without loss of stamina) absolutely infuriating. At least I can have a bit of time on the ball on Pro and I'm enjoying the game much more for it.

I'm on Slow, Legendary, semi assisted controls. Really good. Been playing the scenarios a lot recently. Spain beat Turkey in the last minute, and in highly dramatic fashion - after missing a penalty with Xavi in the 86th minute, I broke from a Turkish corner in the 89th. Some magical manual through balling sent Xavi through but wide. Laid the ball back to 25 yards out, Torres took a touch inside his marker and rifled the ball in off the post.

Pressuring really isn't all that bad offline. It's still too much, granted, but it's something you can definitely work around with dribbling and simple passing (manual through balls are immense for this).

The effect of the second press button is something that has been discussed with EA recently. My best games online have been against other people who also don't use second press (or only when it makes sense). What I suggested was that, if you hold square, your second player runs up to the man on the ball and then jockeys; if you then press L1 while holding square (X?) then you switch to the second presser. Perhaps putting some sort of ghosted player cursor over a non-human player who is second pressing would also help matters - you'd see who you'd be switching to, and your human opponent would see you are second pressing and not be caught cold as often happens at the moment.

One of the other things that was suggested was that you can't primary press and second press at the same time. It makes game sense, but not convinced that this makes footballing sense.

I've also pointed stamina out to EA - I took snaps of the stamina gauges of teams just before the start of extra time, and at the start of the 2nd half of ET. The devs are looking into it.

When can we expect the missing kits DLC ?
Can we even expect a DLC for kits?

Personally I don't like that primary press exists in the first place. There should be a jockey button and a tackle button, not a combined 'hold to win' button.
