A lot of first time shots on the full/half volley can have loads of dip in WC10 from what I've seen, seems to depends on how you approach the ball and how your foot strikes it, scored a lovely equaliser v Argentina where Huddlestone ran on to a Gerrard knockdown to half volley it with the outside of his right foot
I second this - I've had a couple of dipped shots when the ball has already bounced at least once.
But - I take romagnoli's point and it's rare to see dip on a shot from a ball on the ground at the time of the connection
