Modern PES sprint dribbling just looks weird visually compare to this:

On some occasions there are still sequences like this in PES.

I miss PES6 sprint dribbling. So simple yet so fun.
It's not realistic in terms of animation or graphics but the concept of dribbling is nice. We have different standards back then.

Yeah maybe but placebo means we think it happens but it doesn't, obviously the video I showed that it does happen.

I don't think those values alone will help the low cross, as that wasn't the goal for this test, rather it was too see play from the wings not being 1v1 situations of the FB being exploited constantly.

Shots from outside the box would be a nice addition, which in seeing is there. Figures I didn't upload the one the cpu actually scored on me. Will do so when I'm home.
 
Could be other factors coming in as well then.
Still an official AI fix would be appriciated.

Dribbling is the best sinc ever. One of the strongpoints along with graphics of new age PES.

I agree dribbling in PES2019 is the best ever since!

I'm just comparing @Chuny particular video where it looks like Neymar jogging in place, as opposed to real life. I'm also being very particular on SPRINT dribbling, not as a whole.
 
Is the replay camera finally free as a bird in pes 2019 retail? Or is the height option in free cam still limited?
I am waiting to see if they make any game play fixes to the attacking ai and goal line hogging keepers before getting it as I am a tight, old bastard! I will be expecting better things for master league in 2020.

Nope, replay camera is still very limited. Height option and camera placement still has the same limitation as last year.
 
Its sad to see so many people in here talking about offline since it does not represent what this game is made for, which is human vs human. Playing the garbage mode that is myClub the past 2 days have been nothing more than disgusting. I regret buying this game and will never ever buy another PES again, not even gonna try out next years demo.

As if going from MLO to scripted online casino myClub years ago wasnt enough, now we got freak players like 93+ rated Simeones getting through balls. Whats next? 99 rated Bezema? He sure had a good game yesterday! But anyway, my disgust doesn't just come from the crazy high rated freaks in this game, but the terrible gameplay. My last match on myClub i beat a 700+ rated player and i felt disgusted. The game was HORRIBLE like all matches. Hold X and Square in this game is extremely strong, ping pong passing like every year, and oh... this is the through ball game, i had to be on my toes all game always trying to stop the through ball to the stearlings dembeles or whatever the hell he had. I won 4-1 scoring same old boring goals, running with Mbappe 1 on 1 with GK, same, same same.... zzzzzzzzzzz. Game was basically a cluster fk of preassure, ping pong pass, and CPU defending more than the player.

I barely played the demo and my guess is not only there were no myClub freaks there or any scriping, but tons of noobs who dont hold X and square. So when you get into the full game, aka the real deal, you get hit with all this trash against people that actually want to win the match and thats where the true face of PES comes out. Every year, same story! Its so boring now i had enough. I sweart after 2 days all the goals i scored already feel repetitive!!!
 
Got a reply from them. Usual shite, but good to see that they are reading it. If they see same thing, repeating over and over, there is a chance for a fix

I already find it interesting by changing teams advanced instructions in edit mode first and then play match against ai
this year the edit finally work for ai, they will exactly use the tactics you edited in your edit save
eg I added tikitaka,attacking fullback and gegenpress for man city and they play more like real life
I replace hug the touchline by attacking fullback for barcelona so that they don't spread out their players and they play a little middle now
just some simple edit, I still didn't change their formation and position etc but its fun and has impact already

@Matt10 how do you get the idea about changing roles in fluid formations? :D this is game changing!!! I used Juve against Man City, conceded 2 goals from the low crosses then tried your suggestion, wow, different game literally!!! the play like city now, no more spamming the wings. will do more observations but only against teams who tend to do this becouse some of them simply play great :) thanks man!!! :)

Gegen is a bit much i believe. Front line pressing+agressive marking (these arent the actual names sorry) plus putting up the defensive line to 10 is enough i believe. And yes its there in the advanced tactics tiki taka + attacking full backs

Just tried this for 3 matches in ML on Top Player. Didn't notice a difference. Not a single long shot and the CPU still primarily threatened via low crosses. Maybe there was a slight improvement in variation but any difference was minimal.

On the flip side I beat Ajax in the Champions League (or whatever it's called now) 7-0 so thanks for the tactics :)
 
Giving jordi alba only an 85 rating is just a really out of place after his showings and the way he times his runs into the area, he is i think man of the match today vs huesca, giving him only 85 rating in the game, are you serious??!!!, he deserves an 89 for sure, enough said

I'd demand a refund yesterday.

I'd get rid of overalls altogether they're just an average of abilities considered to be key for a particular position. An 80 overall can be better than an 85 overall.

Hm, darn. There has to be something different because technically the role of a FB in defense is to get wider initially then tuck. I' changing to a CB it should have then tuck in even further, earlier, which should keep them goal side more, thus bringing back the smf to track back.

I've got some things to learn about 19. In a sense, isit positive, because that confirms old pes16 thru 18 legacy code seems to be gone, or lessened.
 
I think if a team has attacking area set as CENTRE and they still attack down the wing theres a problem, also if the attacking area set as CENTRE and the team has no wingers, smfs and the still fancy wide attacks there is even a bigger problem which you cant fix with tactics. This has to be patched or fixed for 2020. Some of the attacking tactics just dont work because a code overwrites everything. I havent seen a smiple cut inside and shoot from any player although there is a COM playstyle for that. Same for long rangers.

What i like, and what really is a good showcase is your player switching. I mean the subtile use of it!! I do it the same and I am pretty sure it’s part of how the game shapes/flows for some of us. Now that more and more realize it’s not all sprinting and we get more and more of them not to use the sprint button all the time, it’s time to get the next lesson in their heads!! Be gentle with your player switching. Keep formation. Play soccer.

Yeah, I think part of the issue though is that fullbacks tuck inside with the expectation that they'll be supported on the outside from their midfielders and that's not happening like it should. For example, in replays time and time again I'm seeing midfielders running back and then they'll just stop like they hit an invisible wall. Sometimes they'll continue on but slower, other times they just won't come back at all and help, leading to easy overloads. CMs and DMFs are better at helping than wingers but still not always.

But even if the problem is tactical, it still doesn't explain some of the decision making. Like @gabe.paul.logan said, you simply won't see wingers attack the goal, whether it's with a shot or dribble into the box. There's something in the AI decision making code that's making CPU attackers extremely risk adverse in the game with the sole exception being passing decisions - they rarely shoot from any type of speculative distance and even the best dribblers in the world rarely (ever?) will take on defenders in 1-on-1 situations.
 
Anyone got any tips for headers? I was fine on the demo but in the game I keep looping them over and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Some of them are really quite impressive as it was harder to head over than it was to score :LOL:

I did score one header which looked amazing and was one of those moments which reminds me why I prefer PES to the other game but since then I'm really struggling to get anything on target.
 
the more I learn to position my defenders the more ai tries different ways to attack me. probably konami is punishing us for playing bad defence :D joke on side, had amazing 7 matches against top teams, las was Barca vs Benfica (me), they attacked all the time so I was playing counter attack, game ended 2-0, they had 70% possesion but I managed to pull 3-4 good counter attacks but Ter Stegen was good. I concede the goals becouse my players were tyred and their movement was not quick. really really amazing gameplay but konami should take a look at these issues, attacker need to drible more in 1-1 situations and to go for the goal not pass. altough I saw few outside of the box shots from Barca from Coutinho and Suarez. If I am sure that Konami won't screw something different with the patch I will sign for this gameplay with two hands :)
