For the first time since I got the game I have set about on a proper master league campaign.
I have noticed that when you start the master league, for some reason, probably to make it more of a challange your players have about 3 or 4 points knocked off each stat behind the scenes. For this reason, to get the game to feel like it does in exhibition mode, I picked a top team. This meant the game felt fluid. I know I could have picked a smaller team and build them up, but after spending so long getting the game to where I wanted it, I wanted that game play. I also wanted a team with a decent looking and playing stadium.
I also mix teams around, so that each game in my division is against top opposition, whilst also keeping the other leagues filled with some big teams for the purpose of european cup games. Games for the most part are played on +1 as I find the game is smoother, though some stadiums, this is dropped to 0
So I pick Milan and in my league are teams like Juventus, Man Utd, Porto, Sporting, Inter, Leverkusen, Munich, Roma etc. I also choose to put these teams in the premier league for more day time kick offs.
I started on Superstar and quickly dropped down to Top Player after my first few games. On Top Player I found it very challanging as the game is already, but with my stat edits it even more difficult. The game on this level is very realistic. I have to fight for every chance and in some games I literally have none or one sight of goal all game. The problems that some say they see with shooting look like they are there as most of my shots come from being straight on at goal outside the box, as other opportunities are too tight to work a chance.
I play games against Juventus and Man Utd and draw both games after having to play out of my skin, but really enjoy them, so much so I play them again and again and after the 5th time, I realise I am averaging something like 2 shots a game. This is already after a poor start to the season on Superstar. At this point I drop the game down to Professional and suddenly I am getting chances and games are opening up.
First game on professional is against Parma away. It's a good game, in which they battered me for a while before I let in an own goal after an excellent run from one of their players. In the second half I make a couple of tactical changes and play much better, Imbrohomivic sends two defenders the wrong way using R2 to leave him in loads of room to slot home, then Robinho puts one in the top corner after fighting of pressure and then Boateng hits the bar with screamer.
(it's my firts attempt at putting these up, the quality will improve at some point I hope)

Next up I play Stutgart and I go behind to a sloppy goal, Imbrohimivic nearly gets an over-head kick then in the second half I equalise through some great control and a volley from Gattuso. It's a tight game and I would be happy with the point, but in injury time I get a corner and without realising it send Abbiati up for it and unbelievably he scores a volley.

Next game is champions league against Stoke! It's a game in which I score early and then the game decends into a kicking match which Milan pulled down to Stokes level after missing a few chances. In the end their long ball tactics pay off when a massive punt up field finds Fuller, who crosses for Crouch to score. The games looks like it's going to be a draw, when Pinto, my only signing so far, grabs a winner just managing to avoid three defenders sliding in on him
