wont run well m8, ive tried it on a laptop with a p4 2.8 with 512mb and it ran slow as ewt

Anyone else on build 7057 getting a notepad file open every time your computer starts up? It's called desktop and has [/ShellClassInfo] in it and then a line underneath of stuff about system32 and system root .

Don't know why it happens, but it's a beta, so i'll forgive MS for that...

I'm sure on the Startup folder we can disable that?

Just go to Startup folder -> Start - All Programs - Startup - right click choose explore. Make sure you can see hidden files, and then delete the desktop.ini file there.

Well I upgraded my missus laptop to 5057 and then put 5057 on my own laptop over the weekend. Seems very good, also runs fine on those specs I posted earlier .

you can grab it from usenet...

1. download newsbin from newsbin.com
2. subscribe to giganews platinum service (you get a free 14-day trial and can download 10gbs during that time). check giganews.com
3. install newsbin and put in the server details you got from giganews.
4. change number of connections to 10
5. in newsbin, search for 'windows 7068 32'
6. right-click and add to download list
7. wait an hour (or less depending on connection speed)
8. install windows 7 build 7068
9. use up your remaining free newsbin searches to find some of that animal porn you've been curious about...
