Shouldn't the dudes on the bench be following the ball?

And shouldn't the guy in the bottom pic rub his fake tan in better.....

I pray that they aren't in the game!

Probably there is a nude GC's boothbabe running on the other side of the field.
Finally a good feature from Seabass.

Some update on WENB about Adam's experience in Birmingham...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 09/27/07)

I see the "Ministry of Silly Walks" has had an influence on Seabass.

I thought it was common knowledge that John Cleese did the motion capture for KCET...

I thought the edit mode was deep this year?

And didn't PSM3 say there were 30 boots?

I am confused too
Maybe they mean 'deeper' than last year, but they still cutted something. As long as you can make any kit it should not be a problem. I remember some years ago that it was not possible to make striped shirts. That worse it will not be....

news from winning eleven blog

News update!
WENBs very own Mr Adam was today at a trade show in Birmingham of all places and got to play a near final build of the game that we are all patiently waiting for, here are the main points that I managed to translate during the phone call we have just had

The game actually plays slower than the 360 demo that we have been playing for a few weeks
In saying that the 360 version plays a slightly quicker game than the PS3 version
(Yeah, that confused me as well. Lets move on though eh)

The PS3 version looks a bit more washed out but is still graphically sound
The 360 version looks crisper but with it a bit more cartoony. The colours seem a lot more vivid
Edit mode on the next gen has been drastically reduced as expected:
Only 9 sets of boots to choose from and kits styles are also limited to a set number of patterns
Adam was really impressed with how the game played on both consoles, there seemed a more realistic pace to it. He couldnt stop waffling on about how nice it felt to play and how superb everything was! I had to cut him off before the call turned into one I would have to pay £1.50 a minute for!

The version played by Ad is as close to the final version of the game available. Issues regarding gameplay and graphics could easily be resolved before release, whereas the content (teams, features etc) will be the same in the final version.

LOL, that's the best screenshot yet, just for the hand gestures (and the facial animation) alone.

"Ohhh Betty!! I told them I wasn't ready yet!"

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 09/27/07)

Well where the hell did this "next gen huge editing" end up???

10 real stadium sucks, boots i don't give a damn, but a good editing of the uniforms in a game that lacks of licenses is important. PS3 more wshed out might depend on many things like tv used or maybe the japs like those colours more.

Uhm and i wish he could tell us something more explicit about gameplay, something like "did they improve the running animations", "is physics better implemented", "is the ball speed been properly tuned" etc.

Well let's wait and see some footage.

HAHA! Sometime times I feel Konami are taking us for a bunch of mugs!

Konami are at a point now where no what they do with the game, they're still going to get our £39.99!! :D

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 09/27/07)

It will come, i think i am gonna buy the collector pack with the penguin mask in it......

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 09/27/07)

IMO this joking with words talking about temporary versions is laughable at this time, 24 days before the release.

At this point, the version must be final or they won't match the release date. Of course, my opinion.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 09/27/07)

Why Konami Why?!
