That is actually libellous and you should be banned.

what are you talking about?
This guy is constantly coming on here and trying to stir everyone up with his garbage. He has nothing to add to the forum.
And who are you? Are you that dense that you can't read and see the sarcasm and humor?
I don't try to stir anything up. I usually just add a comment or an opinion here and there but I just got sick and tired of this guy doing the same song and dance everyday and decided to say something.
I noticed that you just joined in Aug. 2007. Odd. Are you possibly the same guy that I offended under another name?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Yeah I'm with Lami. Stop being whiny bitches about a videogame. There's people dying of hunger in this world and you whine and moan because a friggin videogame isn't 100% like you want it to be. Pathetic, you are.

I agree, and people now shouldn't come with "I whine because it is my money". Well if it's your money and this game isn't worth it, then don't buy it.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

The whiners around here should think of original and creative ways to get your thoughts to Konami. Why don't you turn into streakers, and run across the pitches of you home teams, wearing nothing but a big sign with all your complaints towards Pro Evo. I bet Seabass would take notice. :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

I doubt Seabass would notice even if you entered the Konami building naked with "WHY IS ML THE SAME EVERY YEAR" written all over your body in the blood of his pet dog, which you are wearing as a hat.

"What was that all about? Oh well. So PES2008 is ready to go gold then, everybody?"

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Anyway, for anyone who feels unhappy about this game in a general way: rent/buy/d******d The Big Lebowski and watch it. More than once. Go ahead, do it. You'll feel better about life in general. And find yourself thinking: "Why was I so upset? Oh yeah, I was giving a fu*k..." :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

All I want is on winston's wishlist, and nothing has benn added to the game. So I'm free to say that to me the game looks totally deceiving.

Add to that that poor ML news. Still, 2 months to see if we're looking at pes 6.5 or not. I guess we are, because we all now teamvision is nothing but a lot of cheats. If not, you should really think in how passes and shots are done. Succes of a pass depends on the cpu, movement and position in the pitch depend mostly on the cheats. Example: when you are "free your players are 2 meters away of the defenders to receive while when you "must loose" the defenders are glued to your player or even in front of it to intercept the pass. There's nothing human involved in it.

So, that's the base teamvision will work on. Once again, more scripts to tighten the flow of the game. By now the only thing we know about the game is that the animations are amazing. That adds nothing to me. The engine is like football manager, a 2d data board where things happen. If they don't touch this, the game is the same as pes3, even if there are tons of new animations, graphics improvements and all that.

And when people says that gameplay is already amazing, I would like to know if that's because it's bloody easy. You aim and press X and that's it to pass. You aim and press square to shoot. There's no midfield in the game and no human skill involved in the general flow of a match. You press with only 1 player, the rest are headless chicken. It would be easy to make the pression (square) move ALL your team towards the ball, closing space as in real football. But no, you move only 1 additional player (and you don't control even WHICH one) and cross your fingers he's not going in the wrong direction.

On the other hand, fifa has had terrible gmeplay, but htey are adding things that appeal to me, like free manual passing, free ball physics (I wish pes had that sometime). Maybe the gameplay is not as scripted as in pes, or the scripts are not as polished as in pes, but if the general sensation is that I control passes, shots, tricks and the flow of the game, and it's ME who fails a pass or a move, then I would pick Fifa even if animations are worst and I don't have and old man sitting on a bench.

And read carefully, I never trash the game per se, I always reason my points. I expect YOU to do the same, and try to reason WHAT you like of the game and WHY and to know how it works.

Since moaning doesn't reach Seabass, how about a petition? Everyone add all their requests in one list and sign. Would that get through to him?

Personally, I've emailed him last year about my manager mode in ML suggestion. I included things like manager movement, proper 2nd divisions for every league, popularity, board achievements, player career (like fantasista), etc. All that should add more depth and longevity to the game. But to be honest, i never got a reply and lost hope. Therefore, all i can do is sit back and see what Konami will come up with.

Agreed about your PES points but not quite sure about FIFA's.

Well, I'm just speculating about Fifa's points, it's more of a wish than a real expectation, as happens with a lot of football fans here in the board.

About making a petition list and all that, I've been tinhking about it these days. But I came with a different proposal. I would like to open a new thread stating our ideal football game. There would be different areas covered (art direction, management, tactics, gameplay, modes, edition...). So I think a thread wouldn't be enough. It should be a board on its own, something called "footballfangame" or something like that, where people would post detailed information not only of what they want in the game, but how to achieve it. So no "I want a mexican wave in it" posts. You moan about passing? The explain how would you do passes around. Which would be the stats of a player and so... It would be like designing our own game, our ideal game.

I would gladly do so with other people if interested, because I don't like people who just bashes things without a clear explanation of why they do so, and I hate people who simply says "wow, it's gona be amazing" because Cristiano Ronaldo move is in. I like people who analyzes the games and find ways to improve them. I have a lot of things to propose, and some people in this thread already has added interesting oppinions about stats, passes, 360 aiming and so.

It's all well and good getting a petition on the go and all but the game is almost certainly complete at this stage. They may be adding a few minor finishing touches but at this point it will only be frame-rate improvements or some other type of fine tuning. It is way too late to add new features or even change the currency in the ML.

It's supposed to be happening with www.pesfan.com where a few months ago ,fans of PES voted for some suggestions to be submitted to Konami. At least it's how it was supposed to work ,I'm not really sure that Konami really cares about what the fans really want.
I have a question :Where is PES/WE the most sold ,Europe or Japan ??

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

But really about the currency, all they effectively need to do is add three zeros to the points system in place at the moment and just stick a pounds/euro (actually they might need to do more work regarding the euro, maybe adopt a system that converts the pound using real coversion rates or something) sign before the figgures and walaa!. because say you bought henry for 17,000 points and downing for 5,300 points, add three zeros to them figgures and its already looks quite realistic to what it would'v been in real terms (ala henry for £17,000,000, and downing for £5,300,000) and that'll make it look soo much more realistic.. but nevertheless as someone else said earlier, i also had someone who knew someone that said the points system was dropped in favour of real currencies, so here's hoping ;)....

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

It's in the first post mate.

EDIT: No wait, my bad. But should be same date as next-gen anyway.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

If this will be the final look of the game, then I don't think that level of ingame graphical detail warrants new hardware, and so, the perfect platform to be playing this game on would be a handheld.

Many amazing games are coming up on the PSP these days. And PES2008 would be such a joy if you can play it anywhere...

If only Microsoft made a handheld next-gen Xbox... I'd be saving up for this one.

Funny you should ask. Last time was in May. Only about 150 pounds, I admit. About 300 pounds in last december. I try to donate something every 3-4 months. So you can shut up now.
